We initially met this couple over a year ago at our favorite club. We thought they were cool and attractive but then the guy told Pet that they were married but not to each other and his wife thought he was somewhere else (I can't even remember where now). We've seen them several times at the same club together since then but have more or less avoided them because of that knowledge.

So fast forward... this weekend we are on the other side of the state from our favorite club and we see this couples that looks familiar. Our first thought is that they are one of the couples we had been conversing with on SLS regarding the clubs in Memphis. We waved and they smiled back with obvious recognition then when they came off the dance floor it turned out that they were sitting at the same table with us. They came over and said hello and I was like "I think we've been talking on SLS?" and they were like "no, we know you from Menages". We didn't realize it right away who they were until they reminded us of our first meeting and some other things that happened that night. Once they did that I realized pretty quick who they were, but Pet didn't. We went walking around and I reminded Pet who they were and told him we needed to find out if that situation was still the same and he agreed. We were all having a great time talking and dancing and flirting and we agreed that the next time there was a good dance song I'd take her out to the dance floor so he could ask the guy about what he had told him that first night. I figured that was the best approach since they were the ones who had the original conversation. So a song finally comes up and I grab her to go dance and when we come back Pet leans over and tells me "that situation has been alleviated".

Cool... although we both still had some doubt in our heads, we were having fun and were wanting the night to continue in the fun vein it had been going. Finally something was said and we decided to go make use of one of the "conversation" rooms, and did a little g/g play and played with our own guys. Afterwards when she and I were in the restroom I talked to her and told her that we'd always thought they were really cool but that the first time we'd met them her guy had said what he'd said. She was like "we wondered what was up, we thought maybe we were too old for you". I told her that that definately wasn't the case but that we just didn't want to get involved in a situation like that and that since her guy had said that the situation was alleviated .... she looked at me kinda funny so I was like "he said it was alleviated or being alleviated" and she basically told me that no it hadn't been but that it needed to be....

Ugh. I let her know we didn't really want to be involved in that type of situation and we headed out. On the way to the car Pet expressed that he wasn't sure he really believed that it was alleviated and I let him know that it hadn't been.
