We are finally getting back to life after a summer full of illness. This weekend we have been in Nashville and while we initially did not plan to hit Menages while we were here, when I was packing I decided to make sure that we could if we wanted to. And come Saturday night we decided we wanted to. We both agreed we weren't going to play but just to get out and enjoy the atmosphere and work on rebuilding the social skills we had worked so hard on up until we got knocked out of the game.

Things have continued to change over the summer at the club. The DJ was new and we weren't overly impressed with him. He wasn't bad, he just wasn't as good as the ones we've had before. They've also remodeled a bit in the downstairs play areas and added a new playroom.

I had the thought as we were heading out that it would be nice to run into someone we knew, as it seems like that's not uncommon as we've met more and more couples. It seems like the last few times we had gone to Menages we'd run into local couples there that we had met at home (or that we hadn't met yet but had been wanting to). As always happens we decided to walk upstairs and get away from the noise of the music and as we were walking through the main room we moved over to make room for a 3some to pass by, when the woman walked up to me and said "kiss me". I was surprised until I looked at her and realized it was a woman, T, that I knew. We originally met her and her husband, V, at the end of last Spring when we went to one of the local socials and made a serious effort to meet as many couples as possible. We had moved from table to table all night talking to couples and never stayed long. But when we got to their table and we went to leave, I was going to go visit the ladies room and she said she'd join me. When we returned they invited us to stay and we did just that for the rest of the night. We saw them again at a different social, and it was clear that there was chemistry with her and I and that we wanted to see each other again. But then they went out of town for the summer, and I got sick. So it was a surprise for all of us to run into them. We talked to them and their friend for a bit, but in the end they ended up leaving the club early because she got sick.

All in all it was a great night, and it felt great to just be back OUT and having fun. In some ways it feels like we are starting all over again after our 3 month long break from all things swinging.
