Ahh the sometimes frustrations of swinging...

This past weekend the wife and I went to a very nice house party. At parties we'll split up if need be, finding people we like. I met this really nice (and hot!) woman and we talked for awhile, just general life stuff. As the conversation moved into more of the play at hand, I came to find out her and her husband are VERY new to the lifestyle. After talking a bit more, learned that they are probably not even at the level of soft-swap, and many never even go there. I was so bummed, she was so hot (model level hot) and felt we meshed pretty well on a personal level. Oh well, we hung out for awhile and later I found some a partner to play with. Hopefully I didn't let my disappointment show.

Can I share one with you? I was invited to a "party" with some friends. I'd begun conversing with this terribly attractive brunette. As the party got into full "swing", she let me rub her shoulders, and even make out a little bit, but no more. I was thinking that I was some how offending her or being too forward. She all but pushed me away, so I asked point blank "Is there something wrong with me?" She was so nervous and flushed red, but she sat down and confessed - "No, there's something wrong with me. Wrong time of the month to be at this party". She was so embarrassed, I felt bad for her. So I just got her another drink and we BS'd smoked, and watched the show. The next week she more than made it up to me. It's all in your angle of perspective, my friend.

Sorry about your disappointment. It's tough to spend a little time with someone, get really excited by them, and then find out there's not much chance of getting close to them.

If I discover I'm interested in someone, I usually try to find out what they are into, what they like to do. At a lifestyle event, there's nothing wrong with asking "Are you a full-swap couple?" in normal conversation. Better luck next time. And maybe if you see this woman again, she and her husband will surprise you.

Thanks for the comments. We through our first house party a few weeks ago and my wife was in her time of the month too, like the night before. She still had fun.

And I still had fun at the most recent party, it just sort of notched my playing down a bit, as we didn't get a chance to mingle with the swapping couples as much as I would have liked. It's all a learning experience, and I took it in stride.
