The reason I know this? Last night when we went to the club we had to pay the membership renewal fee. It hit me. Wow, a year?

So I reflected a bit about the last year, and who we were then compared to who we are now.

A year ago we went to a club for the first time. We were so nervous, and extremely shy. We mostly watched. Heck, I think it was our 3rd trip before I would even consider getting out on the dance floor. But by the 4th dancing in the shadow box or on the pole was starting to be a lot of fun!

We have changed so much in a year. From the wallflowers, to the now out and about, meeting new people, walking up to strangers and asking them to join us for a drink.... And rejection doesn't sting like it did before. Just move on to the next.....

We're meeting more people. We've moved away from online meets - while we do still actively search on 2 sites, and certainly write emails and respond, it just has not seemed worth the trouble it can take to setup a meeting. If we seem to really like them, we'll take the extra steps. Otherwise, we just prefer meeting new people at the club. For us, with a limited schedule to go out, it's just so much easier that way.

Mr. NC is actually becoming quite flirtatious, and I love watching him come out of his shell. I never realized how much it turns me on when I see him and another lady hitting it off. And he feels the same way.

Unfortunately summer is winding down, school starts in a week and a half, so our "date nights" will have to wind down a bit as well, but if we can get out to the club twice a month, we're very happy with that.

I'm glad Mr. NC found the guts to ask me a year ago if he could share me. He wasn't sure at that time if it would turn into a great night of sex, or he would be looking for a place to live! It's been a fun year, all the new things we've learned about each other, and how close we have become. We each had some jealousies in the very beginning, and now? None whatsoever.

I just had to say that this is just freaking cool. I'm glad we started swinging. Our marriage went from very happy and content, to amazing and exciting.
