Been a year and also back in gear...
I had previously blogged than an injury had sidelines us. We seem to be moving past that, wife is recovering well. Still not quite ready to play with others, but we have been hanging at a few M&Gs this past week. I can tell she is feeling better as she asked what are doing this weekend (nothing) and she wants to go to the swing club..wohoo!
It's also been a year since we ventured into the lifestyle. We were looking a back at our first month last November and actually realized we were pretty busy. Our first planned meeting was cancelled at the last minute (kid issues with other couple) so we hit one of the local clubs. We went for several weekends before we had our first experience, but met a couple there and had fun! And looking back at this week, we had our first planned meet with a couple from an online contact a year ago last night, wed before thanksgiving (same couple that cancelled in the prev sentence). That was not a great experience, don't think the woman was into it. We eventually setup another meeting with them at a local swing club, but they cancelled and we wrote them off.
To end that week we met our second couple at a bar. It was a last minute thing, they contacted us online and invited us out. Very attractive and 15 years younger than us..and we had fun at their place after! Then saturday we met another couple at a local swing club. We had a good time with them as well.
I often say we jumped in to swinging with both feet, eyes wide open. Thinking back I think that fits!
