The New Year's Eve I've Always Wanted, But Never Had... 'Till Now!
We have a long history of not doing anything really fun New Year's Eve, at least most of the years we've been together. Sometimes life has interfered, sometimes we've just been wimps, and who knows what else. This is the first New Year's Eve out of the three we've been swinging that we went to a lifestyle event. And wow, what a party. It was a pretty perfect setup. It was a private house party given by a couple we met around two years ago. They are one of those couples everyone wants to know. Gorgeous, outgoing, classy, lively, warm, and very playful. They put together a guest list to die for, including five or so couples we already knew. We were so excited to be included. The opportunity to go to this party sure beat the pants off of any other option we had. Well, really, the only other option was to go to a big, crowded hotel party.
If you've read my other posts and blogs, you may know that Mr. Fuse and I have sometimes had difficulties in swinging, especially in group environments. We both prefer two on two in general, and because Mr. Fuse tends to be (in my opinion) a bit too passive, he feels especially awkward in a group where his partner is not pre-determined. His reluctance to show interest or "make a move" has cost us the interest of more than one couple we liked, and gives him fits at parties, where each person usually makes their own fun. Going to this party, we had an agreement that I would not start seriously playing with anyone if he was just standing around.
Well, he really stepped up last Thursday night when the time came. He had been with the hostess the night we met them a couple of years ago, and was hoping to be again. She's really an incredibly sexy woman. He and I discussed the benefits of not focusing too much on wanting one woman, and going with the flow if another good opportunity came up first. Well, the flow put our hostess right in front of him when play started, and he just went right up and joined in, after making sure he was welcome. I was so proud of him. And what a relief for me, since when play happened naturally for me, I could go ahead. It's probably the happiest and most comfortable either of us has ever been in a setting with more than two other couples.
The atmosphere was so great... everyone seemed to be having a great time. There was one spot of tarnish on the evening a little later when two young couples started having an "animated discussion" about what had happened between them earlier in the evening. I was starting to play with someone at the time, and frankly, being within earshot of the argument almost caused him to not get an erection. I wouldn't have been surprised, because listening to them was a real buzzkill. But I like giving oral, so I just kept going for a little while, especially since my partner was moaning and obviously liking it even though he was soft. Then he did get hard, and we had some really fun play.
Anyway, I just wanted to share. I've posted often enough about Mr. Fuse's lack of pursuit and overall passive attitude that I thought I should give him public props when he shows he has "the stuff". I hope he carries the confidence he's gained forward with him.
