The beauty and magnitude of the night sky make me feel so insignificant.

The longer I live the closer I move towards moon worship. Where we live now I can watch the moonrise every night in a black black sky. It never fails to take my breath away. And on the night of a full moon? I can't sleep, whether I knew it was full or not, even with the curtains closed. Not sure what that all means, but the moon has a powerful effect on me.

I suppose it would make some feel insignificant, but it just makes me happy to be alive.

I contemplate the moon, planets and stars. But I would not think to count them. Only one person was ever able to stick his head(s) into the Total Prospective Vortex and emerge as a whole.

There is a beauty in the certainty of that which is beyond us.

I'm with Chicup. Looking at the moon or the stars or the ocean fills me with joy. Earth abides. No matter what, those things will always be there and always appear largely the same, no matter when or who sees them.

Besides that, I feel insignificant most of the time so looking at the water or stars just makes me happy.
