Update on Surgery
Overall, I'm feeling better. Day 3 was by far the worst on the swelling and pain. We are now on Day 5. I'm still rather swollen and it's still too uncomfortable for me to talk any more than I have to. This is actually the best thing about Paul having to work all weekend. When someone is here it makes me want to talk more. When noone is here, talking is kinda pointless so it makes it a lot easier not to. I'm still not eating anything that requires any sort of chewing. I gave has another try yesterday and did better at eating it without wanting to chew it. If I cooked it the way I prefer it it would require chewing (I like it crunchy).
I discovered this morning that one of the pain meds I have has promethazine built into it (anti-nausea). Supposedly it's the pain med that is the stronger of the two, but it doesn't seem to have as much affect on the pain as the hydrocodone I've been taking.
This surgery seems to have given me a massive sinus infection. My sinuses are totally full of blood and goo. I've managed to dislodge a huge chunk from each side over the last 2 days but they are still swollen and bloody and nasty (TMI - I know).
On the upside, I finally got to watch "We are Marshall" last night. We do Netflix but I've ran out of Netflix so I had to send Paul to the rental place to bring home movies on his way home from work last night and that was one of the movies he brought home. We watched it together and it was really good. I then proceeded to kick his butt in a game of Scrabble.
I had planned to go back to work tomorrow but unless I have some major improvement I don't think I'm going to be ready to talk yet. The only talking I want to do tomorrow is to the dr to find out what we can do about this sinus thing and the continued swelling and discomfort.
