we had our first soft swing success (if you want the details, it is on the first encounters forum link) and it led to a really revved-up the weekend with Mr. J, WOW was he on so to speak!! He has never been so interested, not even at age 20 when we first started dating and having sex :rollseye:

But now for the let down, he has left for a LONG business trip, durn it! and I won't see him for 2 weeks minimum up to possibly as long as 4 weeks and this is just too long for me to be content. I wonder what the Hitachi will do to the electric bill?

Later Gaters,

Okay, you win. My hubby's halfway through a four-month travel duty, but he at least comes home on weekends. And there's a reason we're on the flat-rate plan with our electric company.

Hi Sweet TNA, bet there is a reason for the flat rate plan on the electric bill!! Don't you just hate it when your hubby is gone? But you have it worse then I do especially if you are doing all the "ommy" jobs by yourself, Hubby and I are empty nesters so I only have myself to entertain. So I have time and the Hitachi on my hands LOL!

YES, I hate it when hubby is gone. And yes, I am doing all the "mommy" jobs myself, in addition to the job for which I get paid (teaching). I won't even mention snow days . . .

I don't think it's so much a matter of who has it the worst as it is we each have our own challenges to face.

Tomorrow is my day off, and I'll have plenty of time (sans short people) on my hands, too . . .

TnA

I have an idea, why don't we meet for lunch and girl talk! I'm also off tomorrow and had planned to stay home and paint, I am an artist as well as an RN, but nursing pays better :) and we can fuss about the trials and tribulations of being without the Hubbies!!!!

Take care and talk to you later,

Its snowing like a son of a gun any way so I guess I will just stay in and stay warm instead of lunch with the ladies:(

Ugh, we're expecting some of that dreaded white stuff tonight.

Thankfully, tomorrow is a teacher workday, so I can stay home all warm and cozy, waiting for my honey to come home.

We have about 6 inches of the stuff and the low pressure system isn't done yet, I can tell this by myown little weather man headache I have :surrend:

Good for you that you get to stay home all warm and cozy, have a cup of chocolate for me and put in a bit of cinnamon for good measure :)

Ah, another low-pressure migraine sufferer! We're at the northern edge of the same storm and my head feels likewise... hot tub helps... not sure if the cold tequila did but it sure tasted good going down :)

Oh and I suffer from the absent husband problem too. Shift work...he comes home every night, but I'm asleep at 2 or 3 am, and he's asleep when I get up at 7 to go to work... we text each other, and try to catch up on weekends, but it's challenging.

Isn't shift work a challenge (euphemism for a bunch of crap lol)! I used to do nights when I was a new nurse and it played havoc with our family life! What was worse was when I worked every other night 11p to 7a so we didn't have to use a sitter with 3 pre school kids, I don't know how I lived thru it!!!

Good idea, I know the non-sufferers get tired of hearing me whine every time a storm rolls through. Misery loves company.

And as this monster storm rolls into town, the migraine kicks into high gear! I have an appt to chat with a botox doctor on Friday- he does migraine botox and I am ready to try it! Not sure when- definitely not in the next two weeks, but as soon as possible after that. I figure why not, if it doesn't work it wears off after a few months and it's 50 bucks on a learning experience, and if it does... whoo hoo! What a bargain!!

Let me know how that goes. Tho I must say I haven't noticed much of a migraine, hubby blew in with the storm and we haven't been out of bed more then a couple hours since 3 am Tuesday. My but those endorphins are great for those migraines. Can you see me smiling. If you would like you can come over and join us, I promise relief. Bring hubby, the more the merrier
