September, 1982: We moved to a new neighborhood, forcing me to switch schools in 8th grade. One day not too much later at school, the kid living upstairs from me, Sean, introduces me to his best friend, Don. I would see Don here and there for that school year and the next, but we ultimately travel in different circles and have little in common. When Sean moves away a year later, mine and Don's contact is reduced to an occasional hello in the hallways and lunch.

October, 1985: We leave New York, settling in the Orlando area.

February, 2009: I find Don on Facebook while perusing a mutual friend's Friends list. I send Don a friend request. He admits he doesn't really remember me. I mentioned Sean, but it still doesn't bring back memories. He accepts the friend request anyway.

April, 2011: Don finds our profile on Swing Lifestyle, recognizing our faces from Facebook. Living two hours away he says he wouldn't have otherwise contacted us. We now live nearly 1,000 miles from our hometown. He debates for a week, then decided to contact me with this findings. Just days before he does, my wife and I meet a lifestyle friend who by chance happens to know Don.

May, 21, 2011: We swap partners in an incredible display of explosive 4 way chemistry.

All traced back to an otherwise insignificant introduction almost 30 years ago.
