I was raised to speak my mind, but I was also taught that if I didn’t have anything nice to say, not to say it at all. Quite the dilemma, isn’t it? Since a lot of what I’ve had to say about the lifestyle has been of a whiny nature, I erred on the side of caution and took a hiatus from the board.

When last I posted, Mr. Sweet’s temporary travel duty had ended, and we had returned from a fabulous week in Cancun. Unfortunately, his return home did not seem to make much difference in our sex lives. He still had his Master’s classes to complete. So while he was physically home, he was too busy/too tired to do much in that department. As if that weren’t frustrating enough, we weren’t having any luck with the lifestyle, either. The last four hook-ups have been a bust for me. During the first three (which were not all with the same couple), the guy just couldn’t keep it up. Mr. Sweet and the wives had a great time, though.

Last night was a case of me not being selfish enough. We were at a house party, and I’d put a big ole’ target on my SM friend’s back. He was well aware of this, but for some reason, not many people at the party seemed to be playing. He, Mr. Sweet, and some other mutual friends sat around playing Spin the Bottle in an attempt to get something going. Due to the particular dynamics of the group, nothing was happening.

My SF friend was obviously looking for some play time, so my SM friend and I invited her to join us while he demonstrated some new rope tricks he’d learned. Mr. Sweet joined us, and SM started tying me up. He forgot some of the smaller pieces he needed (he was trying to make a chest harness), so he didn’t finish. Somehow, even though I was the one tied up, my SF friend was the one who ended up at the center of attention. I figured at some point, the guys would switch off, but I figured wrong. My single friends had a great time, and Mr. Sweet and I took care of each other.

What was really funny was that after SF left the room, SM starts rolling around, trying to relieve his stiff back. He didn’t want to do that in front of her, but was perfectly comfortable doing that in front of me. What a great pal I am! (She says, rolling her eyes) The take away from this is that Mr. Sweet gave me a free pass to set up a time to play solo with SM. So I may get the better end of the deal, anyway .

By the way, Mr. Sweet did finish his Master's degree last weekend (a whole 'nother story to be posted later). WHOO HOO! :danceban:

You know I think we all go through times when we aren't getting what we would like out of swinging. But keep your head up better times are around the corner.

I can feel sympathy for your situation, and then I look at it from a vanilla perspective and I think you're having experiences many other folks can only fantasize about.

Warm thoughts for you that you find some impressive satisfaction in the near future.....

I do not think the phrase familiarity breeds contempt applies to the LS, but familiarity does breed complacency at times.

If a man is not familiar enough with a women to be comfortable, he may have performance issues. If he is too familiar, well he forgets his manners and rolls around like a dog trying to stretch his back out, lol. And guys are like children, interested in the new toy first.

Here is to you having some fun sweet tna and soon.

Thanks, ya'll.

I actually found it to be a combination of endearing and amusing that my SM friend has that level of comfort around me. And I totally get that "new toy" mindset. Honestly, if we'd gotten any good vibes off one of the new-to-us couples at the party, we'd have gone that way for sure. ;)

And to clarify, SM wasn't the one with the performance issues.

We've got a camping trip coming up with some good friends, so maybe that'll break that streak.

=)
