What Am I Going To Wear?
So, last week as we were getting ready to go to a new-to-us social for the first time and I was trying to figure out what I was going to wear, I realized I had nothing to wear. How many times have we gone through this? Oh, at least 50% of the times we've gone to a party or club (AT LEAST!). You'd think I'd learn by now, but if I have, I've forgotten. After going through it last weekend, I KNEW I had nothing to wear this weekend for the "Playboy lingerie" themed party. And yet, I waited till tonight to bother looking. 3 stores later we gave up and went back home and decided to do a fashion show. I will say, that after doing it, this was by far the best way to check out every thing in my wardrobe and determine what would work.
I traipsed downstairs in every single outfit (most of which I've owned for 10 years), Pet took a few pictures and I headed back upstairs and did it again. he had his favorite, and I had mine, and then we looked at the pictures and I was amazed to find that things look different in pictures.... but not much.
I'm still not really happy with my choices, but at this point the choice is made. Of course, as soon as we were done, I got online and ordered 3 new outfits (all 3 of which were things we saw in the local stores, but found online for 1/2 the price). The next question is how will they fit since they are all OSFM. That's another issue. I've lost 25lbs this year, which granted puts me fitting back into all my outfits (or most of them), and in some cases makes things fit rather poorly. When I compare my sizes to the size charts on the websites, I'm right in the middle. I'm not M or L, I'm a little of both. Many OSFM items are just TOO big in some areas and fit well in others.
You guys have no idea how lucky you are! It would be so much easier if I could just throw on some nice jeans and a button-down!
