I just turned 40, decided a life decision of staying childless, and something in my brain is revolting and giving me quite a mid-life crisis. My likes and dislikes have turned upside down, driving my husband bonkers. I used to like red wine and now I like white. I wanted to go to a rock concert, something I haven't done in over 10 years. Retail therapy is no longer enough and I just feel restless all the time.

So I think this is as good a time as any to start trying to blog, if nothing else other than to get out my jumbled thoughts and clear my head. Plus I have extra time on my hands now. We have been living temporary in Japan for about a month now since my husband got this new project, and it looks like we'll be here for another month or two. I needed a change of scenery, a break from my friend with benefits, and a new perspective. One thing remains constant though: the lifestyle. To be continued.
