Does an age gap relationship turn off other couples?

Would the age gap bother other swingers?

I’m in my mid-70s and I’ve recently been dating a couple in their 40s. When I was in my mid-60s I played at a party with a couple in their mid-80s. They had been swinging for more than 60 years, hosting an orgy on their wedding night in the late 1940s. They were fun.

 

But let’s see, an 18-year-old? Yeah, I’d never thought about a 60-year age gap. I’m gonna say I won’t fuck anyone young enough to be my great-granddaughter…😉😂

For us, we want to be friends first, and too big of an age difference starts to limit things we all have in common...plus it makes some of my jokes hard to understand. We've seen profiles where one person is in their 50s/60s and the other half their age, and think "midlife crisis". We try to keep other couples within 5-10 years of us, just so we have common things to talk about...like rotary dial phones and classic rock bands before they were considered 'classic'.

Debbie was answered a married couple who had a twenty year difference. Second marriages they met, if I remember on a vacation in Europe, he was Greek. Does twenty years make a difference depending on age? 60/40? 50/30? 40/20? And if it were the woman older would your thoughts change? 
If the 18 year old young lady married an older man she made that decision that older is fine. My only question is she being coerced.

Peter, Gold and B&D, you make good points, valid points.

 

The original question included the phrase, "assuming everything else was good". In my mind, this includes such things as common ground and personality. While I (in my 70s) think it would be hard to find a young couple that didn't use their slang (which would turn me off,) and loved The Beatles (which would turn me on,) I don't feel it would be impossible, just unlikely. Further, why in the heck would a woman of thirty want to play with me - I would suspect that (for her) she could find so much better.

 

So, while I think that playing with a young couple wouldn't bother me if everyone was good with it, I never expect it to happen.

Many, many years ago we went to Le Trapeze in NYC.  We went maybe 10 times.

 

For some reason it was pretty common there to see men who appeared to be in their 50s etc. with partners who appeared to be in their 20s.  Not sure why.

 

One time we chatted with one of these couples and asked them if they were married.

 

"Yes" they said, just not to each other.

Largely going to depend on ages and personality. 
 

Really prefer to stay +/-10 years. 
 

again personal preference but much older,  tough to get past they are close to our parents age. much younger and lack a maturity that we are looking for.

The difference in the ages is not a problem, why an 18 year old married a 45 year old brings up questions. 
Many men of any would jump at the opportunity to fuck a just barely legal young lady as Honey has experienced and when I was younger several older women wanted me. Sex is one thing, marriage is another, I wonder when they dated if she is already married.
