couplers 4,640 Posted October 26 A co-worker was telling a young, new employee woman who we work with a story I had heard before about a couple about to get married. It was the week of the wedding and the couple and best man were meeting for dinner. The bride and best man had arrived at the restaurant a few minutes early and were awaiting the groom. In those few minutes, the bride and best man decided to get in his car and get out of town together, hiding out in a hotel for days. The young new girl then asks, "Did they make it back in time for the wedding?" BTW, the bride and best man ended up getting married themselves, have two kids, etc. Quote Share this post Link to post

bbarnsworth 2,637 Posted October 27 I feel bad for the groom-to-be. There's a principle here in that the bride and best man both effectively stabbed the groom-to-be in the back. In that sense, they likely deserved each other. But yeah, I agree with Mikey; I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually divorced. I've seen it before, sadly on more than one occasion. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

It never could be easy, but they should have been civil. The groom was so upset that he threatened them, stalked them, and restraining orders were involved. (BTW, I know them both, but only met several times.) 21 hours ago, couplers said: The young new girl then asks, "Did they make it back in time for the wedding?" No comments about this? It is the reason I posted the story; she was serious. Her attitude surprised me, but I guess it shouldn't. I do not know her outside of work, and she hasn’t discussed her romantic/sex life with me. She isn't married, engaged, or going steady, but mentions three boyfriends who spends the night or travels with her. ("I was late this morning because I stayed with Stephen.") And the boyfriends apparently have other partners as well, who she nonchalantly accepts. ("I wanted to see Stephen this weekend, but he was with Suzie.") My point is that although she may not be in the lifestyle, the lifestyle open-mindedness is in the vanilla world. She thought that the bride and best man going for "one last fling before the ring" was normal. Edited October 27 by couplers 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

I think that the bride and the BM did the groom a favor by not going through with the wedding when she was clearly not ready and obviously didn't love him above all others. They saved him the greater pain of a messy divorce with kids and houses and dogs to split up and so forth ten years later. I was at a family wedding, 7-7-07 was supposed to be a lucky day but not so much. The bride did in fact run off with the best man a few months later, she could have saved my cousin Danny about twenty five grand if she would have just been straight with everybody. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Which is a good reason to to be in the lifestyle early on, while dating, before getting married. The bride and BM could have done their thing and either got it out of their system or made their decision before the wrong wedding was planned. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

She thought that the bride and best man going for "one last fling before the ring" was normal. Thinking about it, Daniela and I were sort of like that. We weren't swingers before we started dating, but as we got closer it was clear that we were both seeing (i.e. fucking) other people. We even talked about it obliquely, like how, as said above, we spent the night or weekend at someone else's place. As we started the marriage conversation, we became monogamous and continued for about two years after we got married. We both just assumed that the other expected it, but we continued to talk about our past and it led to Daniela hotwifing for a while then us doing traditional swapping. 1 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

If your woman likes to fuck that makes you a lucky man! Give her the freedom to explore and you will be repaid countless times over! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

It took me those two monogamous years and some contemplation to realize that Daniela needed her extracurricular activities, or at least wanted them. The thought of her with other men neither bothered me nor excited me, at least at first. So as we talked about our past sex life, I convinced her that not only was I ok with her being with other men, dating, fucking, whatever she wanted, but it would also make me happy to know she's getting what she missed, basically sexual variety. At this time Daniela needed more, but I got all the sex I needed from her. We discussed the best way for her to play rather clinically, although I could see was getting excited when we talked, and settled on her contacting two exes and us getting together in a vanilla setting to discuss it among the three of us. She subsequently saw them both separately without me there at first so everyone would be comfortable; for me they were exes, they fucked before so it was fine with me if they did it again. Then Daniela wanted me there for MFMs. It was an incredible journey from there, her wanting us to get with couples so I could enjoy the freedom to explore as well. Pretty much the same here @Numex Thankfully when I met my wife we had both been through relationships with ppl who had incompatible sexual appetites and we both knew we needed a bit of sexual adventure in our lives. Neither one of us would have fared well married to jealous, possessive people. By the time my wife and I got married we were active members at a swing club, and already had several mfm and mfmf experiences together. So if my wife slept with my best man before our wedding I would likely have admonished her for her poor timing, then probably would have suggested ongoing 3sums with him. Dead serious. 1 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
