hippiechick 15 Posted July 16, 2005 Hi, every one!! I am new to this, and have posted a few thoughts. But I do have a question on the body. I have had one child, and she was taken c-section. The scar is along the pubic hair line so no one can see, however, naked, it's there and goes along my pelvic area. What I was wondering is how do people feel about scars? two4youinswva 3,068 Posted July 17, 2005 What I was wondering is how do people feel about scars? Most of us have them. (I have the "appendectomy special"). Hey, life happens, and our bodies gain character from it. We also have a few stretch marks Quote Share this post Link to post
Alura 2,775 Posted July 17, 2005 Scars are pretty normal, HippieChick. We doubt you will have any trouble because of yours. Besides, if somebody were to be that picky you probably wouldn't want to play with them anyway. Quote Share this post Link to post
ALilOEverything 901 Posted July 17, 2005 I have a really large scar that runs from my bellybutton all the way down. It's wide and has a little pucker where I had to have it reopened. It's a part of me and I accept that. No one has ever said anything about it so I usually forget it's ever there. I pretty sure it's never bothered anyone and doubt it ever will. DBL D 120 Posted July 17, 2005 Usually a scar is a reminder of an experience that saved your life or made life easier to bear. (I said usually!) Most of us are very interested in the stories behind scars. I think they give you character. Quote Share this post Link to post
dutch51 15 Posted July 17, 2005 Scars are pretty normal, HippieChick. We doubt you will have any trouble because of yours. Besides, if somebody were to be that picky you probably wouldn't want to play with them anyway. We totally agree with Alura. I (wifey) have a c-section scar that is noticeable to me, but no one has ever commented on it (you can see it if you're looking). And like Alura said, if someone did, it's not someone we'd want to play with anyway. Most of the couples we swing with have females who have kids and some of them have scars too, but it's just part of the person. It would not deter us from swinging with them. hippiechick 15 Posted July 18, 2005 Once agin thank you to all. I don't think it is noticeable to anyone else, but we are hardest on our selves. My husband says my scar and stretch marks are not noticeable at all unless you are looking for them. Although I do admit that I didn't get many stretch marks, my husband says if there is anyone out there who went from 105 to 140 in just a few months and has nothing to show for it, he'd like to meet them. And he also tells me that I look great and all my weight is gone, so I have to find something to gripe about. And it's probably true. He says I'm a MILF. But, thank you all very much for the input, just didn't want to get there and gross someone out. Although we all have scare, we just can't see every one. Love you all, you've been great. Very helpful even though I'm sure you've answered these questions a million times. Quote Share this post Link to post
Vespertine 31 Posted July 18, 2005 I think scars are sexy. Like LM said, most people are intrigued to learn the story behind them. I know I am. Quote Share this post Link to post
bobsfun 15 Posted July 18, 2005 We all have scars, one should be more concerned with taking care of your needs and the scar will go away... Quote Share this post Link to post
CB_n_Red 16 Posted July 18, 2005 A playmate and I spent a pleasant time yesterday afternoon comparing scars! Definitely not a turn off! Quote Share this post Link to post
HotMoCpl 20 Posted July 18, 2005 Scars? Those are the to replace the medals, awards and other recognition we missed in other parts of our lives. Quote Share this post Link to post

negacpl 15 Posted July 20, 2005 As others on here have posted, most of us have scars. I do myself, having had 2 C-Sections, 1 Tummy tuck, and a hernia in my navel. That said, I have a scar along my bikini area hip to hip, and scaring around my navel...along with the stretch marks that comes along with everything else. It doesn't bother me, and if asked am proud to say...I have kids....and yes I have the scar to prove it. 99% of others we have been with have never had a problem with it, they just look past it like they are not even there. It is normal and part of life. We have only had one person make it an issue...making comments that he liked his women "au-natural"... with no scars (this was after playing, he didn't see them before as it was by low lighting...and with 4 bodies). When he saw mine was relentless with the questions, almost an interrogation as to how I got them. Needless to say I told him I was very proud of my scars, having 2 children, and if there was a problem it was his, as my husband and others find it sexy...we put our clothes on and left. Most people who are for "REAL", down to earth, and are genuine, have no problem. It is those looking only to be seen with the beautiful people and are very shallow in life that have problems. starlinn 17 Posted July 20, 2005 Hubby tells me that my stretch marks are a reminder to him of the beautiful children that I gave him...isn't he sweet! Quote Share this post Link to post
intuition897 2,179 Posted July 20, 2005 Stretch marks and c-sections leave 'battle scars'. They tell the world you're a mother. No c-section here, but I've got my share of stretch marks. Even though I'd jump at the chance to get some liposuction and a tummy tuck, I've still made my peace with my body the way it is. Quote Share this post Link to post
Vantabulous 15 Posted July 20, 2005 intuition, Not you, too?!? If I ever hear the word "Liposuction" around the house again, I do believe I'll scream. "You look really 'hot' in that outfit, Hon." "I need liposuction." "Need anything from the store, Honey?" "A winning lottery ticket so I can get liposuction." "The pedicure looks great!" "It'd look even better if I had liposuction." "You don't need liposuction!!!" "You're my husband. You have to say that." AAARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!! (I feel better, thank you. ) Quote Share this post Link to post

(I feel better, thank you. ) LOL except in our house its not the word liposuction...it is "I'm too fat" You must be that fly on the wall Quote Share this post Link to post
Vantabulous 15 Posted July 20, 2005 Good Lord, I've heard the "I'm too fat" thing, too. (Didn't have to be the "fly". It's darned-near a given that a man's going to hear it from his woman. ) Quote Share this post Link to post
two4youinswva 3,068 Posted July 20, 2005 In our house it's "If the doctor could just cut all of this part off!" Quote Share this post Link to post
intuition897 2,179 Posted July 20, 2005 Hey science is a wonderful thing. If we've got the technology to keep me from being a slave to my treadmill, I'm all for it!! God how I hate those things. Once you hit 30 (or thereabouts) your metabolism starts to nosedive and it gets harder to keep the fat from accumulating. If there's a way to make it easier to avoid putting on a spare tire, sure, I'll take advantage of it. Quote Share this post Link to post
DBL D 120 Posted July 21, 2005 Uh-Huh...Looks like all your "fat" is in the right places!!! Quote Share this post Link to post
Vespertine 31 Posted July 21, 2005 Uh-Huh...Looks like all your "fat" is in the right places!!! ) Mm'hmm... I agree. I love looking at intuition's avatar. Very, very sexy, IMO. Quote Share this post Link to post
HedonicPursuit 15 Posted July 21, 2005 Having several scars, and a fan of clothing optional beaches, I've found that most people never say anything about them. Those who did so, did in a respectable/inquiring way. I just figure if it does effect someones interest in me then they're not a good fit anyways. Quote Share this post Link to post
honeybee clark 15 Posted July 21, 2005 Ahhh..I loved each and everyone of your answers. I too agree, stretch marks and scars are a part of us. Anyone comments, looks thoroughly at, or closely, you don't need them. We are who we are! Quote Share this post Link to post
josephanthony69 15 Posted July 22, 2005 If you are happy and comfortable with yourself, then others you want to be with will be happy with you too. Some of us old geezers worked hard to get to this point and earned those scars, stretch marks and other exciting topics of discussion - with the right persons. Quote Share this post Link to post
LanceAndSue 15 Posted July 22, 2005 Show me someone without a scar, and I will show you someone that is too young to be doing this. I have a long scar on my leg, a scar that was once a hole in my chin where my teeth went through in a car wreck, and a wonderful scar from a tummy tuck that got rid of the scar from the c-section. I have some emotional scars, too. It's all just part of the total package, and not a definition. I really try hard not to define myself or others by their defects. Quote Share this post Link to post
chastityrings 15 Posted August 1, 2005 They all tell a story, and are part of who you are, which, IMO makes them beauty marks. Quote Share this post Link to post
twoplayful2 16 Posted August 1, 2005 Neither of us are turned on by them, but definitely not turned off either, they're just there. If I (Mr. TP2) feel uncomfortable at all it's because I feel like the woman might be really self-conscious about them and that I need to stay away from that area entirely just to be safe. But if they've got the C-section scar, I really love to be kissing that area and don't like missing out because of the way I'm feeling about it. Oh well. Quote Share this post Link to post
WiserNow 15 Posted August 2, 2005 Scars are to the body as personality quirks are to the character; they give us our uniqueness, help define our individuality (who NEEDS tattoos anyway?). Never saw one that offended me in any way, and I doubt seriously I'll ever meet the Bride of Frankenstein. Besides, there's a certain restraining influence.....if I ever made the mistake of pointing out someone else's imperfections, they'd have a field day with mine. I think it's safe to say, get naked and forget the scars, they're only landmarks. Quote Share this post Link to post
