MFM v MMF - Any difference?

OK, at the risk of sounding like a complete dunce, what is the difference, if there is one, of MFM & MMF when used with threesome? We've seen them posted as if they were two different things, both here and elsewhere. We are newbies, but we see a lot of very helpful people and posts here so we felt safe asking the question. We assume one involves some Bi action with the guys?

MFM is a 3some with 2 men and 1 woman

 

FMF is a 3some with 2 women and 1 man

 

MFMF is 2 couples

MMF - 2 bi guys doing each other and one woman.

 

The problem is I'm sure not everyone knows the 'code' so you may see MMF listed where they don't mean the guys are bi.

mfm or mmf or fmm, I didn't think there was a difference. I was in a 3some with a good friend and his wife and there was no male to male contact but she really enjoyed it and so did all of us. As long as she enjoyed.
