TNT 1,155 Posted February 12, 2007 This is just too funny. I just received the strangest phone call. Me: Hello. Her: Is Ted ________there? Me: No, I'm his wife can I help you? Her: He told me he was separated from you. Me: Really? (hysterical laughter ensues from me ) That's funny, he was in my bed last night. Her: Well he was in MY bed last week. I met him at Gekgo's and we went back to my place. Me: (I'm still busting a gut, trying to compose myself ) Gekgo's really? That is interesting. What night did you meet him? Her: Friday night and he gave me this number and told me to call him. Me: Well, I don't know what to tell you. My Ted _________ was home with me Friday night. (I'm still laughing like crazy) I think you have the wrong Ted. Her: Click. Now I'm sure there are women that would have pitched a hissy fit and jumped all over their husband had they received a call like this. Myself...I found it utterly hilarious...the thought of Ted doing something like this without telling me is such a foreign concept that I just can't comprehend it. My trust in him is absolute. I did call him and "try" to play the irate wife but it didn't work ...the giggles were giving me away  So...how would you have reacted if you had received a call like this? good times 991 Posted February 12, 2007 If she is legit I'll bet she is so confused right now. I wonder who the Ted impersonator is. Quote Share this post Link to post
sexyshelby 19 Posted February 12, 2007 OMG That is too funny. Good thing it happened to you and not some other untrusting wife. I too would probably laugh my ass off if this happened to me. Quote Share this post Link to post
intuition897 2,179 Posted February 12, 2007 You said you guys were pretty open about your lifestyle, right? Well, I wonder if Ted's impersonator wasn't some other jackass who happens to know his reputation and was looking for some kind of "John Doe" persona to give to this poor chick so she couldn't call him up at home and have HIS wife answer...the way you did! Oh man, too funny. Does anyone have it in for Ted or something? Quote Share this post Link to post
mrs good times 73 Posted February 12, 2007 I would also find this funny. I would have asked if he was wearing a pirate shirt. Quote Share this post Link to post
Spoomonkey 421 Posted February 12, 2007 I find it funny since I have met Ted and am fairly certain that he isn't that stupid. I mean - if he WERE stupid enough to sleep around on his enviously open-minded wife, would he really give out his real name? I don't think so. Quote Share this post Link to post
Chicup 42 Posted February 12, 2007 On a side note, as I can't answer for Mrs. Chicup though I can assume it would be the same as you, I never thought what evil a woman could do if she wanted to. Find out when random guy was going out of town, call wife 2 weeks later, see the chaos that follows. Quote Share this post Link to post
TNT 1,155 Posted February 12, 2007 I'm still giggling about it. I will say that I do know of one other Ted in the area that has the same last name and it's spelled the same as our's ...he (the other Ted) is a public figure in the next county...I wonder if it was him It's definitely been a very funny day around here. Teresa (who is still ) Quote Share this post Link to post
gatorvol64 216 Posted February 12, 2007 Thank you, thank you! My first laugh of the day...which means I am way behind. Quote Share this post Link to post
flkeyscouple 21 Posted February 13, 2007 If you guys are really pretty open about the lifestyle, someone might have just wanted to see how you'd react! Or someone is out to piss Ted off! How funny. I'd have reacted the same - can't imagine how that call would have gone!! Quote Share this post Link to post
Irishsakura 17 Posted February 13, 2007 I would have asked her what size bed she had then offer to invite my swinging partners and I for a demonstration on what she think she did Friday night. Quote Share this post Link to post
LFM2 1,482 Posted February 13, 2007 Ok... that was pretty funny! I'm not sure how I'd react, except probably the same way you did. I'm wondering if the "other" Ted has been up to something he shouldn't be?! Quote Share this post Link to post
cubnamy1995 124 Posted February 13, 2007 I could just see Amy getting a call like that. She'd say, "Really? Chris said he was separated? Ha-ha. He wishes. So, what do you look like? Hey, you think he was good...guess who taught him..." My wife would never believe it because she is convinced I am completely incapable of getting laid on my own. Quote Share this post Link to post
sereneiders 263 Posted February 13, 2007 I am trying to imagine my wife in a similar situation... what would she say? Mmmm probably ask her for the juicy details to "compare notes", showing the poor gal calling she's getting hot in the process. lol. Quote Share this post Link to post
LikeMinds321 1,527 Posted February 13, 2007 Her: Friday night and he gave me this number and told me to call him. I would have reacted as you, very amused because I know nothing of the sort would have happened. After hanging up I would wonder this: Is there a guy out there using Ted's I.D. and is planning on giving out YOUR number on a regular basis? You may be receiving more calls Teresa. Quote Share this post Link to post
Tia Vampire 167 Posted February 15, 2007 I would have done the same as you too. We went to a friend's house last weekend for a house party (vanilla) and one of the girls there was pretty drunk and hitting on my fiance. Later on she apologized and said it was the drink. I almost ask her, did she want to go home with us. Wrong place for the asking I thought, so I left it alone. I did tell her, she just didn't know how we lived and that it didn't bother me at all. Do you think she got the picture? She may have been too drunk to put the two together. Quote Share this post Link to post
clutch 28 Posted February 20, 2007 There are just some people out there that are meaner than snakes. There are actually books you can buy on the web that give out lots of evil ideas of how to destroy someone (or their reputation). It sounds like this woman might have found such a book--I'm guessing that it's possible this woman might have come onto him, he rebuffed her, and as the old saying goes, "Hell hath no fury..." or Maybe he beat out some competition in the office (?) workplace (?). The guy he beat out had his girlfriend call.... All I can say is, the universe seems to abide by the law of: "What goes around comes around." Whoever this twisted person(s) is, will get what's coming to them, by and by. It's very healthy to laugh at this! Quote Share this post Link to post
JustAskJulie 2,595 Posted November 11, 2008 My husband is a TERRIBLE lier, so if anything like this were to ever happen I'd know for sure there was a mix-up somewhere. Quote Share this post Link to post
ncmd_couple 597 Posted December 14, 2008 This to me, as a guy, is a scary thought. The only thing that would make it even more scary was if I was out of town or something on the night in question. Quote Share this post Link to post
