doctoroctagon 15 Posted November 1, 2007 I'll often click on the profiles of swingersboard to see what their occupation is, and it often seems like it's "teacher", why is that so? Maybe it's just an odd coincidence, but it seems like quite a lot of swingers are teachers. I'm just wondering why, because I can't think of any logical explanation why that would be. Vjklander 138 Posted November 1, 2007 Perhaps because (if they are any good at teaching) they spend all day trying to get little heads to think for themselves. Quote Share this post Link to post
Chip_n_Muffy 16 Posted November 1, 2007 Maybe cause they know they can teach us a thing or two? Teachers and nurses, gotta love em! Quote Share this post Link to post
Cerberus 16 Posted November 1, 2007 nurses are freaks generally speaking. I loved or did love many at one time..man stewardessesese also. I remember meeting some southwest girls in ABQ and having a threesome Quote Share this post Link to post
pervgeeks 119 Posted November 1, 2007 Maybe cause they know they can teach us a thing or two? Teachers and nurses, gotta love em! I'm a nurse. My husband's a teacher. Double the pleasure. Double the fun. Quote Share this post Link to post
JTcamp05 9 Posted November 1, 2007 Ohhh I remember one teacher we had fun with.....wow what a thought her standing in front of the classroom....... Quote Share this post Link to post
avid 134 Posted November 1, 2007 I've noticed the teacher phenomenon too, but in other areas where I've been working. When I was a running instructor for women, I had way more teacher/nurses in my running clinic than any other profession. Also, when I taught prenatal classes, there were tons of teachers. Odd. havefuninsun 122 Posted November 1, 2007 Interesting! We've noticed a lot of computer geeks of several varieties (engineers, managers, programmers) and have also met folks in Higher Education as well (professors, researchers, IS specialists). Then again, we've met office workers, construction foreman, human resource specialists, a pilot, and a professional photographer. I'm going to conclude that there are super freaks in every profession.... Quote Share this post Link to post
brew82 15 Posted November 1, 2007 My SO is one of those teachers and we get the same reaction everytime it comes up - "Wow, a lot of teachers are swingers. " Quote Share this post Link to post
cubnamy1995 124 Posted November 1, 2007 OK, I want to get off-subject for just a minute. I have noticed something of late, and I have to make a very tongue-in-cheek comment. (Before you flame me, I mean this in a light-hearted way). On the subject of teachers, we have all seen in the news the large amount of female teachers being busted for having sex with teenage boys. I have noticed the teachers are all pretty hot. Where were these teachers when I was in school? If I went home and told my dad that I nailed my smoking-hot 26 year old science teacher, my dad would have been more proud than upset. Ever since I started reading this thread, that song "Hot for Teacher" has been running through my mind. It really does seem like there are a disproportionate amount of teachers and nurses in the lifestyle. My two favorite things Quote Share this post Link to post
des1re06 200 Posted November 1, 2007 I've met more nurses and flight attendants. So, I'm not a teacher's pet, yet. Mrs. D Quote Share this post Link to post
sweet_tna 680 Posted November 1, 2007 So far, we've met mostly computer geeks and stay-at-home moms--birds of a feather . . . ~Mrs. Sweet =) Quote Share this post Link to post
rpu3 630 Posted November 1, 2007 Strange. My spouse is also an instructor at our local university and local community college. A group in Texas we visit with yearly is made up of mostly teachers - we met them at Desire, where we met at least 10 other teachers. Maybe they just want the break from children and go for the fully adult fun? Quote Share this post Link to post
cplnuswing 4,713 Posted November 1, 2007 Interesting observation. Parent teacher conference day will never be the same now. Hmmmm, I wonder?? Coincidentally, The Mrs. of the last couple we met was......a teacher Swingers come from all walks of life and seem to represent a subsample of the general population as a whole, so stands to reason the professions of swingers would more or less track those in the vanilla world. Take a random sample of 100 people and tally up their professions. Educators and health care are probably going to be near the top of the list. On the flip side, ask people to name an everyday, common profession (exotic dancer doesn't count) that is "sexy", and nurses are sure to be up there (tend to agree!) and teachers are not far behind. The first I even heard of the Lifestyle was way back in high school when the small town rumor of the month was about a group of teachers that regularly got together for the infamous Key Parties. I later dated a girl whose biological father and step-mom were part of the rumor, and from what she said, not sure that one didn't have some truth to it! No matter how you cut it, teachers and nurses = fun people!! Quote Share this post Link to post
interested-05 135 Posted November 2, 2007 could it be, some people would rather be discrete and hide what they reallly do for a living? WE played with one couple who origionally told us she was a teacher, turned out she was really a NURSE! Quote Share this post Link to post
WesternSwing 504 Posted November 2, 2007 We have only met one teacher in the lifestyle, but I do know of some teachers who are in polyamorous relationships. Our personal experience has found what we call "The 3 M's": Military, Medical, and Mortgage. It seems allot of those we meet in the lifestyle are either current military or former military and are now cops; medical, mostly nurses but the occasional doctor; and, those in the mortgage business specifically, but real estate agents, too. redgirlwithfrec 33 Posted November 3, 2007 we've been in the lifestyle for about 6 months now and we have met either online or in clubs our fair share of people. I dont think we have met any higher percent of teachers than anyone else, although it surprises us everytime we do meet one, well not as surprised these days. Quote Share this post Link to post
daisy girl 34 Posted November 4, 2007 Could it be that there are simply a disproportionate number of tpeople who are teachers out there? Think about the sheer number of teachers out there. Quote Share this post Link to post
Swing*8701 887 Posted November 4, 2007 Ed here--I think it may be a matter of discretion. There's a strip club in Peoria and every girl there had the same line,"I'm a nursing student at Illinois State University." Only one thing, there isn't a nursing school at ISU. Who cares though, it was just part of fantasy. Quote Share this post Link to post
BigGuy34 15 Posted December 14, 2007 I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed that teachers....after hours are crazy wild mother fuckers!!! Quote Share this post Link to post
BiloxiCouple 695 Posted December 15, 2007 Educators, police, medical, military, small business owners, casino workers, construction works, students. Everyone is trying to get in with the cool people. Quote Share this post Link to post
MulderNScully 19 Posted December 18, 2007 nurses are freaks generally speaking. I loved or did love many at one time..man stewardessesese also. I remember meeting some southwest girls in ABQ and having a threesome I (Mulder) attest to the fact nurses are ladies on the floor but freaks in the bed. Scully teaches me a thing or two in the bed and can be one of the hottest women I ever known. She is into the toys and so many things I can't even begin to imagine. Yet, at the same time, she is very selective and picky when it comes to who she plays with. Where I'm pretty open to nearly any woman Scully tends to stick with her favorites and maybe have a moment or two with the right woman/couple. Now for flight attendents I'm not sure; the friendly skies and the ladies I've seen are either way sexy or way fugly. Quote Share this post Link to post
twoforone100 45 Posted February 21, 2009 In richmond there are a ton of teachers. We by far have met more teachers than Job type.. Nurses a distance second. and cops a super distance third.. Every town is different but we have talked with others and almost everyone we have spoken to says teachers with out a doubt. Quote Share this post Link to post
cplndixie 15 Posted February 21, 2009 I have noticed this trend for several years. I have thought about it & my conclussion is: nurses & teachers are mostly female.... when you put that many women in one building together, what are they going to talk about? Maybe not always but it always comes around to it. The more you do something (talk about something) the more comfortable it becomes to talk about or involve yourself in the subject. Eventually, most everyone in the atmosphere (school/hospital) is involved & participates in the subject. Thus more nurses & teachers are showing up in the lifestyle. Quote Share this post Link to post
toycple 19 Posted February 23, 2009 We have also met a few teachers too, and also nurses. The funny thing is near us we seem to meet quite a few civil servents too I.E: some cops and firemen. Quote Share this post Link to post

The average swinger/teacher will discuss ANY subject but that at work. Trust me, I know a few. Actually, anyone in a "sensitive" profession will go out of their way NOT to discuss swinging on the job. Because the last thing they want is for "the boss" to find out what they do with their free time. Quote Share this post Link to post
spvcouple 123 Posted February 23, 2009 We, too, have noticed a lot of nurses and teachers in our local group. Much more than any other professional groups. Quote Share this post Link to post
realcplub2 513 Posted February 23, 2009 Noticed this for years.. My personal view is, for some much of the time they have to be striaght laced and reserved, that when it comes to free time, its time to relax and get WILD!! And yes, it has made parent teacher conferences much more interesting to say the least.. Esp when you recognise the 8th ENGLISH teacher. Quote Share this post Link to post

I simply meant that generally speaking women are gonna talk about thier sex lives or sexual situations etc, not specificly thier swinging lifestyle. no, no... just sexuality in general. Just girl talk. Eventually, that talk about sex or sexuality, is going to get interesting & it is generally discussed more & more as the girls become more comfortable & at ease with each other. (probably) subconciously, they become a little more open. Then eventually, they show up at the swingers parties. No, no, they wont talk out in the open or around people who may find it offencive or inappropriate such as the boss etc. Sorry I didnt make the "general" part a little plainer in the 1st post. PB&J 1,086 Posted February 23, 2009 Oh, ok. Still, in my experience in the workplace, unless the women you're working with are close friends, you're not going to discuss your sex life with them. I work with 20 other women, and sex is not usually the topic of conversation. Believe it or not. We do have other things on our minds (especially at work). Maybe it's the relief from the stress of teaching or nursing, which both seem to be high-stress, high-responsibility professions? Quote Share this post Link to post
lustylearning 705 Posted February 23, 2009 Because teachers recognize the value of an open mind? Just a guess:) Quote Share this post Link to post

piggytailz1269 15 Posted February 26, 2009 Being a teacher myself... my take on it is that all day long I have to be in control, im telling people what to do and occasionally punishing bad behavior. At the end of the week...I want something a little more out of control maybe being controlled and punished wink wink Quote Share this post Link to post
jdavisauto 73 Posted February 27, 2009 We know a few teachers and asked one a question that was closed to this one. The answer that she gave us was “after dealing with these little terrors all week, sex is the best stress release and it keeps us from killing these little devils on Monday morning”. IvoryTowers 380 Posted February 27, 2009 Well, you've all heard of the classic teacher's anxiety dream: accidentally showing up in front of your class one day in your undies (or naked). Since we're already dreaming about being naked in front of large groups of people, we figure we might as well try the real thing. Seriously, though, I find teachers to be above average in open-mindedness and critical thinking. When one thinks critically about monogamy, one has to give serious consideration to the fact that it doesn't really work very well for a lot of people. When one is open-minded, nonmonogamy becomes a possible "solution" to this problem. This probably sounds a bit "holier than thou," but what do you expect from the Ivory Towers?
