I was thinking earlier that sometimes it's hard to tell who is typing when we see messages. Is the couple posting together? Or is it just one half or the other that primarliy reads and posts here.

The male half here too. I usually just post during the day. My internet access is not tracked so I am pretty safe. I will tell my wife what I posted if it something that pertains to us. If it is something I can't answer for us, I don't post. I do like to ask my wife what her thoughts or feelings are on a specific topic.

He rarely reads the posts anymore because he doens't have to he hears it from me. But when something intrigues him he will post or just tell me what to say and I type it...

Until now I am the only one who is posting but she reads the board. She has decided to register as member under the pseudo "Uneed_Love2" in order to show she is part of me as I am part of her. So i guess than soon she will post by her own under her pseudo.

 

Since she decided to become a member I have changed my option to become "visible" again on this board.

 

I previously chose to become "invisible" because as french and involved in the war topic I didn't want to be under attacks (as soon as I was online) but as I keep now my ass away from the war topic things are OK for me and I have no problem to be "watched".

 

Besides if i was keeping myself invisible it would not be fair because then i should feel like spying at my lover while she wouldn't be able to see me on the board so don't be surprised if you can notice at the same moment the two of us on the board.

 

Also, it's because we are located in different places (Vancouver and Paris) that we are using two different pseudos instead of only one as most couples do.

It's me, me, me....all me. Except for when I had that little run in with the van hood and was out of commission for a while. Jim reads the boards at work (I so conveniently found out) but won't make his own name, he uses mine, tho he has sworn to me he won't post on my name without my permission. I won't let him post because he can't type three and four letter words like you, for, are, he uses that stuff and it is like fingernails across a chalkboard for me. So I just type any response he may have, giving him his due credit of course.

I find it interesting in this poll that men/women are basically equal in being the sole posters.

 

I am not sure why but I was of the opinion that (as biased as this will sound) that women are the better typists, therefore would be the ones to respond.

 

Typical ingrained thinking that women are secretaries and men are bosses.

 

Too cool to see that it is almost equal on who does the postings. I've learned something new today.

OTHERWISE I would have assumed a higher ratio of women because I thought women like to spend more time talking about sex. AND men being more visually stimulated, I would have thought they would spend their free computer time surfing picture porn.

That is exactly what I find so ironic. My husband is the Visual half. I mean if there is no picture, there is nothing worth discussing. His free time on the computer is spent viewing pictures, not participating in discussions. I just kinda assumed that most men were the more visual ones.

I very rarely surf pictures. Most of my computer time is spent with our business calendar, making appointments and putting out fires.

 

I try to pop on and see what's up during the lunch hour when our customers are too busy to talk with me. Sometimes when things slow down, I'll jump on the Board to see what Lori is up to.

Actually I don't surf pictures at all. It was fun when it was a novelty, but I can't remember the last time I did it. Not judging others, but it just doesn't do anything for me whatsoever.

I spend much more time reading and posting here than anywhere else on the internet, and spend very little time surfing pictures (I assume you mean on ad sites?) I'm a lot more interested in what a person has to say than in what they look like. It doesn't matter to me how many pictures you have, if your profile is sparse and your emails consist of only a single line, I'm just not turned on. The question for me is, "What's between your ears?", not "What's between your legs?" If you can't carry on a stimulating conversation, things probably aren't going anywhere with us.

 

To be truthful, I do enjoy porn as an aid to masturbation at times. And, yes, a lovely pair of legs or a nice bottom will get me to turn my head.

 

However, if you are looking for evidence of a difference between the sexes, I may not be the best person to ask. I am an unusual man. For now, let's just say that I don't believe I think as most men do and asking me for a 'typical male' reaction or opinion may not be the best thing to do.

I find words to be far more interesting (and alluring) than pictures, and accordingly I spend little time surfing the 'net for flesh colours. That's not to say that I can't see the eroticism in a photograph, or a movie: I can, only too clearly.

 

To my mind, it's words that convey intellect and personality and motives, and as Brad said above, the organ between a person's ears is the most sensual and sexual of all.

I post the most...as most know. John posts when the subject hits him a certain way. I enjoy the interaction (well most of the time..politics showed my bad side ).

I too consider myself to be an unusual male in that I enjoy reading more than the pictures. I think it is more interesting to visualize the scenario being described, and maybe imagine being part of it, than just looking at a picture.
