socolais 696 Posted July 14, 2008 I read an interesting comment that alluded to swinger's skills and the thought hit me in a funny "job application" kind of way. Now I'm wondering what skills belong on the list and how one might evaluate proficiency. Swinger's skills: Meet & Greet small talkFlirtingNegotiating rules & boundariesInviting someone to playRequesting to join an active sessionRejecting someone's offerKissing and soothing touchesGiving oralReceiving oralDonning protectionGetting/maintaining an erection/natural lubricationBumping nasties What other "skills" belong on the list? How do you predict the skills of a potential playmate? What is the minimum skill set you'd consider viable? Does an invitation for a second encounter qualify as a "performance review" for a swinger? socolais 696 Posted July 15, 2008 I don't have any additions currently, but I think I'm still developing the top two on your list. I don't claim mastery of any of the listed skills and perhaps small talk is one of my weakest. But I do look at the pool of potential playmates at a party and wonder which one would be the most fun in bed. I guess some of those skills come into play, but I'm not exactly looking for mastery of any of those skills in a playmate - just an ability to communicate about what she wants and how she likes it. That doesn't mean I'll be able to deliver, but I'll give it my best shot. I think I also look for enthusiasm. If she wants to play, that trumps any skill mastery. Of course, a baseline proficiency with most of the applicable skills is somewhat assumed. On the otherhand, multitasking is a cool challenge. Quote Share this post Link to post

Thanks, Thrax Flexibility relates to many things, but overall it means not limiting yourself to preconceptions - flexibility allows circumstances to reshape your potential enjoyment. Seldom do expectations at the beginning of the night reflect the reality at the end of the night. By the same token, opportunities are often missed by those who are rigid. of course, physical flexibility never hurts::P: Quote Share this post Link to post

Ok, truth be told, it was her secret that she shared with me, so, yeah, she knows. (not smart enough to figure those things out on my own) Quote Share this post Link to post
