I am shaved smooth. The reason why I like to shave is because we both like the feeling of it being smooth. I first started shaving with a razor but then here recently I have started waxing, yes it is uncomfortable while you are waxing but the results last much longer.

Have your mate helpp you with waxing. My husband always helps me. It isnt bad is you get the right kind of wax. Some will hurt really bad as it pulls your skin nearly off. I have had good results and you dont have near as many bumps or ingrown hairs as you do with shaving.

I use a wan put out by Nair and it works great. The hair should be about a 1/4 inch before waxing.. Its not too painful either and the results are excellent not only does it take a while to grow back but it comes back finer too. Its a microwaveable wax by nair try it let me know what u think. I think you will like the results.

Me and my husband use a wax put out by nair it is a microwaveable wax and it really does good. The hair is finer when it comes back in and it takes a while before it comes back.

Its not that painful either.

I use a Mach 3 turbo. Great razor with some extra lubrication on the strip. I have always shaved with shave gel for sensitive skin - now I use Nivea Sensitive (excellent stuff for the baby faced fellows among us). I used to use - and still recommend - shave gels that are specifically made for women. After all, that stuff is designed for "down there". Your old can of Barbasol? Not so much...

 

Then - be very, very careful... shave from back to front so that you can keep your business taut and when you are working on the actual "big boy" shave TOWARDS your body.

 

Take your time and shave lightly. This takes longer, but the alternative are frightful...

 

A couple of hints - don't shave ALL the time. Let it grow a bit and then shave weekly. This has helped me avoid irritations and ingrowns.

 

Oh - and for some reason, I get better results after I shave my face... Or maybe just the idea of shaving my face after I shave my monkey-bits is a little unnerving...

 

Either way - I am now red faced and going to hit the shower to make sure I gave you good advice!

Good advice from Mr. Spoo here, but I'm going to disagree with this piece. I've found that shaving in that direction is what gives me ingrown hairs at the base of my cock (I've got one now...grumble, grumble...)

Granted I don't have a "big boy", well not one attached to me, but I've been shaving my legs, underarms, and the rest for quite some time, and I've found that shaving toward the grain before shaving against the grain can help eliminate red bumps and in-grown hairs. I used to get red bumps everywhere until I took a little extra time.

Try shaving/trimming with an electric shaver, that's what I use and it works great. Use the timmer setting to get the long hairs, then the foil shaver for the shorter hairs.

 

Electric shavers are less stressfull.

I had the exact same problem. Try using Coochy Shave Creme - Rash Free by Classic Erotica, it is a little costly ($5 to $8 for 4oz.) but well worth the cost. It also works great for him if he gets a rash after shaving. Using Bikini Zone (Walmart and Walgreens) afterwards can help also and it helps sooth the bumps. Now I never go unshaved.

If you shave smooth....put Dove stick deodorant on the area (Original formula) and you won't get those bumps, or sore skin. Works like a charm! facelick
