Ok, either we're not very discreet or I have a peculiar set of friends.

While out last night with Mrs.DontStop and another ls couple we happened upon another set of swingers. Ok, so maybe that dancing/grinding/kissing/touching/groping that the four of us were doing didn't make it tough to point us out. But hey, we met another couple who are on Swing Lifestyle.

But geez... Tonight I visit a bar that an ex-coworker of mine just opened. Cool place, we have a good time for a couple hours but we've got to leave. So the ex-coworker comes by to say goodnight to us and says "I saw your profile on Swing Lifestyle..."

Funny thing is, we bumped into he and his wife last weekend. We did notice her talking to and flirting with another guy while he was a few paces behind them, talking to other friends. Mrs and I were pretty sure they were swingers because we often find ourselves in that same situation. So when we got to the bar tonight we talked suggestively and openly in his presence, but he never took the bait. And then at the end of the night he slaps us with it.

Oh, the fun!

*sigh* I was outed at work today...unsure how it came about, but certain (and have heard) everyone is talking about it. Isn't it a shame that others' lives are so boring that the most interesting thing they can talk about is mine?

I wish it hadn't happened, I don't want to deal with it, not sure how it will affect me professionally, still absorbing / processing it.

Oh, dear. :( I'm sorry, angelkin. I hope there aren't any professional/ career repercussions.

I'm sorry to hear this. Is someone in your office also involved in swinging?

Hopefully it blows over quickly and everyone moves on to gossip about something else.

For the OP my opinion is that I would not call that an outing..you just happened to have people you did not know were ls turn out to be ls. I call an outing angelkin's experience; non-ls folks finding out you are swingers. (Sorry you are in that position..on the bright side.. if there is one.. new chat topic?)

So sorry to hear this Angelkin! Some people just can't mind their own business. I'm keeping my fingers crossed there are no repercussions. Hang in there!!

Angel, I was going to say that I hope you can keep your chin up and stay positive. Maybe you can walk around and hum "Don't You Wish Your Girlfriend (Wife) Was Cool Like Me?"

I'm sorry this happened to you. My personal experience with workplace gossip says that holding your head high at all times and being a bit cutting with the one or two people socially clueless enough to mention the matter (why on earth would you ask something like that?) is a good start. It's a bit dicier with bosses, but you still needn't address it as it isn't a work related issue.

Good luck.

Oh, there's a number of ways it could have happened and I guess I've been pretty cavalier about it all, really. I found out from a trusted co-worker who overheard conversations and flat asked me about it - then informed me that this was "going around".

I decided to just ignore everyone. I did have a conversation with my boss, whom I also trust implicitly, and explained the situation openly. I have no morals clause or anything, so the only repercussion is a lack of respect and the general office gossip which is simply uncomfortable.

On the other hand, when people ask me what I did over the weekend I plan to say, "If you really want to know, I will tell you."

I've always done a good job of keeping my private life private and for someone else to spill my beans just stings a bit. We've hidden our identifying pictures, moved our profile location to another city, and in a month or so life will be back to "normal" I am certain.

@ExploringRM, yep - you guessed next week's chat topic :)

I appreciate all your well wishes - I am not ashamed of my lifestyle, I just didn't want it to be conversational fodder for small minds. I will go to work, I will answer polite questions, and I will not be any different - well, except to those who continue to gossip about it.

Some people just live to gossip. If people question you (which they shouldn't), I would say something along the lines of "you can't believe everything you hear". It's neither a denial or confirmation. Again it's easy for me to say that, as I'm not the one going through it. Wishing you the best.

I wish I had some useful advice here. We got outed and it was a good thing in a way, it was outed to someone who was more scared of getting caught than I was. It meant we went into stealth mode with pictures and the like.

In the end this might be a good thing for you, not having to worry about it would be a little stress gone from your life.

I was outed at work and my boss questioned me. I replied that I wasn't going to answer his question because I was screwed either way I answered. If I said I was he was going to have a problem and if I denied it he wasn't going to believe me because he " had it from a good source." He looked at me and muttered something under his breath I didn't catch. I responded that I had some good rumors too from the mill and I could certainly start sharing if that's what everybody wanted. He just walked away and I haven't heard anything since. Work is often too much like high school....

Anyway I hope it works out for you.

Some times I feel that the urge to create a profile with face pics and way to much info available is not such a good thing. Yes some people can take that heat. Infact they strive in that spotlight. I think that Keeping that info private is good. We cant all be free spirits. Or want to be.

We've totally derailed the OPs thread....

@ angel... I hope you didn't take my comment as though I was giving you advice. It's just what I did in my situation, but everybody's work situation is different. most work places/bosses probably would have an issue with the way I responded. It probably worked for me because the individual spreading stuff was most likely a swinger as well and it would have come back to bite home or her. I never did find out who outed me though. Wish you well in this!

Sorry this has happened to you, it can't be fun. Two things you can count on though -

Things you fear/dread usually don't turn out to be quite as bad as you thought they would if and when they actually happen. Not that they are good in any way and getting past a bad situation always involves some pain, but our minds are much better at coming up with nightmare scenarios for ourselves than reality is.

The gossip machine is a ravenous beast that needs constant feeding or it soon withers and dies. While you might be fodder for it right now, rest assured it won't be long at all, days probably, before it needs fresh meat and moves on to the next victim. Each feeding will make your situation fade further and further into the background.

mmmmm, me thinks (fleetingly) That I should feed the machine. I won't do it, I know a lot of secrets about a lot of people and would never break their confidence No matter how tempting it is.

Natural response to feel that way, and it certainly is tempting, been there. Besides the self-inflicted wound to your own self-respect from going even a few small steps down that route, and you would be your own worst critic on that, kharma has a way of catching up to people, and they will get what they have coming in due time, with or without your help.

Angel...

There are only a handful of reasons that people want to talk about such things.

1. They have nothing better to do.

2. Their own sex lives are unfulfilled.

3. They are curious.

4. They are envious (see #2).

What happens among consenting adults behind closed doors is the business of those involved, and no one else's. However, your boss may find the conversation disruptive in the work place. You can potentially help him/her put a lid on the conversation by saying exactly that, namely that your private life is separate from your professional life, and you choose to keep it that way.

The truth is, your life as a swinger is almost certainly far more interesting than theirs.

Unfortunately, there are those who like to gossip about anything. He drinks too many sodas, she dyes her hair, they crate train their dog....whatever it is there is often an air of superiority. Sadly to often they do it to hurt others.

On the upside you a have friend to watch your back, a boss that seems willing to listen and no morals clause, so you should be good at work as long as the people you work with can separate their feelings (positive or negative) from your work performance.

I will add that you should be careful of what situations others try to put you in, like being alone with them. We have not been outed but I know a lady that was. Once she was outed, some of the men at her office felt it was an open invitation to sexual harassment. When she complained she was told that her lifestyle made it difficult for them to do anything about it, that she had created this situation because of her lifestyle, she would have to deal with it.

Her reply was simple. "Super, let me have that in writing because when some perv grabs my ass without permission and I punch him in the throat, just like I would in my private life, I want to make sure there are no repercussions when I 'deal with it' like I would in my private life." HR said they would have a talk with the men and the harassment stopped. I loved that woman's brass!

I thought I would come back to update my situation. I talked to one person who was particularly vocal about my private life and asked her to stop talking about it...she did say she thought it was "cool" and said she would stop talking about it and remind others that this is not a good workplace discussion.

There was another co-worker who really stirred the pot on this, so I am sure there was a game of telephone going on from somewhere else in the company who swings - I can only imagine what stories have been told. I chatted with her a minute or two online as she was out of the office. I was pointed yet polite in my approach, but I let her know her continued discussion about my personal life was hurtful to me personally and professionally. She returned to work today from vacation and I only caught a glimpse of her and she did not seek me out for a conversation.

I am really glad I had a cooling off period (worked from home day one, was on vacation day 2) and then she was out of the office...it allowed me to gain some perspective and I have had no issues with just acting as though everything is normal. So what if they know, so what if they have small, boring lives? I am all done and it didn't even hurt that bad :)

Hahahaha - bawahahahaha - the one who had been on vacation and recently returned won't even leave her desk if she sees me roaming around and has been using the restroom on the other side of the building for fear of seeing me in the hall. She told someone, who then told me, that she's scared of a confrontation.

I find this highly amusing, can you tell? I just won't talk to her for a long time; then when she thinks it's safe, I will call her out on it and scare her some more :)

Yay. I'm not saying this from malice, but from a pragmatic stance of thinking that, whenever possible, it's a good thing to exact appropriate payment for poor behavior. It's unlikely that one instance of consequences will cure her of gossip, but it will give her pause for a long time and I think that's a good thing.

mr afterwork has a senior position in a multistate company. During his last field trip to one of the remote states, a engineering manager announced to him that an accountant at that location was informing he and a few others that the Afterworks were swingers.

It seemed like the engineering manager as really slipping downward into testing the gossip. Mr Afterwork excitedly challenged the engineering manager to tell him more with questions like, "Wow, do we enjoy it?; Who are we fucking?; Are we swinging with the accountant and did she really come or was she faking it; and more really absurd questions."

The tactic put the engineering manager on his heels and he was looking really embarrassed. Mr Afterwork then told him that the gossip on the engineering manager was that he likes to go out of town cross dressing and trolling interstate truck stops. Had to be true because the accountant said so.

We try very hard to be as vanilla as we can be around our normal life especially at work. Mr Afterwork looked the engineering manager direct into his eyes and asked, "Can you sit there with a straight face and even imagine my wife and I engaged in swinging, really...us."

The engineering manager said, "Not really, I can't even imagine you two going to any sort of party. No offense, but you guys are sort of just stay at home types."

Mr Afterwork reminded him that gossip is what can ruin so many organizations and that the accountant's behavior of late was causing disruption. He then joked with him that the cross dressing was just something he made up on the fly to show him the incredulity of how bad gossip could be laughing assuring him his "secret was safe with him."

We don't know where the accountant came up with the idea, but she was using that same line for two other management folks. She was later caught miss handling petty cash and a credit card account that caused her to desire to leave the company.

We still tease the engineering manager about his cross dressing trolling. We think he learned his lesson, but damn that was close.

Behaviour like this, where I work, would have the potential of getting somebody into big trouble. Sexual harassment is not distinguished from other kinds of harassment. Harassment is harassment.

Swinging vs. work seems to be a topic trend lately. :) I personally couldn't care less if everyone at work knew about what I did. It is, however, in poor taste for others to point and yell "SWINGERS!" Maybe I don't feel like advertising my sexual preferences to my work colleagues. Which should be understandable. How in the fuck is it relevant to my job?? So if they needed to whisper and get it out of their system, what-the-fuck-ever, let them fill their boots. The only downside I can imagine would be the looks. You know, the looks. The women would hate me and be sub-zero cold to me (and petty/bitchy/snarky). And I would be concerned that the men would become disrespectful. Hopefully, however, I would like to be like the lady quoted below.

Luckily I am known as a joker around work. There have been times where I was asked what I was doing that weekend at work. Without blinking an eye, I have said that we were planning on getting together with some friends, drinking some wine, tearing everyone's cloths off and having wild kinky sex. Of course everyone would then laugh and then ask, no really, what are you doing...

My wife, Tits, worked for a medium-sized company. It had the owner/president, Vice President COO, General Manager, and Vice President of Sales, her boss, Nick. Recently a fifth person., the DOD Sales Manager, had left the company. I will let Tits what happened...

Nick had put me in for the position.  When I got to work today, Nick called me into his office and said he told the management team wanted to interview me. They wanted to meet me tonight after work  at The Meeting Room. This was an upscale restaurant downtown in the tallest building in our little city. I was very excited because it was so swank!!

Nick told me later to go home and get ready for tonight's interview. He told me to wear a white blouse and black slacks but to dress to impress. I got home, showered, trimmed, and picked out my clothes. I picked a purple pair of thong underwear along with a sheer camisole with no bra. I have DD tits and they looked great in my cammy. I picked out a white, but not too business, blouse but left the top three buttons undone for cleavage. The slacks were my best silk pants. Just long enough to be perfect with my heels.

On my way to the restaurant I called my hubby to explain what was going on and I have a chance to get a management position that paid six figures. He was excited and told me I had earned this opportunity and to knock‘em dead!!!

I arrived at the meeting room and was excited. We had never been here before and I was told it was very expensive. I walked through the door and was surprised that it was a very large bar and dining hall but upstairs there were five doors.

Nick came from the bar and told me I looked great and told me we were meeting with the inner circle of upper management . They were Hal Greene, owner and President; Bill Whaley,VP; Randy Cline, Chief Operations Manger; Nick; and myself. Nick had been DOD Sales Manager for 10 years and I have been his assistant for seven years.

After getting into the private room upstairs, the waiter brought in some sparkling water and a nice bottle of Dom on ice. After the waiter left and we settled in to the interview I was told this position was considered a management position and paid $80,000 a year plus bonuses. This position was level with Nick but I would work very closely with him until I learned the ropes.

Hal then spoke up and told me I was the number one candidate and that the team felt very comfortable with me but had to be assured that I could move in step with the others. This was to show the non inner circle management and the other 153 employees that as a manager team we are are a solid wall and we move as one. Many of the deals we make are confidential and what happens here must stay here even from our family. "Can you do that Debbie (my real name)?" Hal asked. I told them I would do what ever it takes. "Fantastic," said Hal and they clapped. He said, "Get the waiter and let’s eat and drink!!"

After a fantastic meal we opened the champagne and had many drinks. We soon got to business and started to discuss contracts. About a half an hour later the room seem to get warm. Hal stood first, checked the thermostat, and then removed his dress shirt and hung it on a chair, followed by Randy, Bill, and Nick. I sat for a minute, then stood and removed my blouse and hung it on chair, the management team moving as one. Bill said don’t call a repair guy, we are almost done. 15 minutes later Randy got up and removed his slacks and hung them on a chair. He was followed by the rest of the guys, so I stood up and followed suit. Looking at Nick I could tell he was nicely hung as were the others, but Hal was wearing briefs and it looked like he was hiding a squirrel in his shorts! I was sure they were looking at my g-string now wet!! They soon removed their undershirts and I my cammy and was now topless with very hard nipples and even more wet!!!!

After a few more drinks Hal stood up and removed his briefs and stood before me with a huge veiny cock. He took my hand and turned me around and pulled down my g-string and sat me down on his huge cock. The rest of the team gathered in front of me playing with huge tits and stroking themselves and cumming on my face tits and stomach!!! I came sooo hard when Hal suddenly exploded inside of me, it felt great!! A

s I sat there Nick brought me a warm towel and help me clean up. After we got dressed the team clapped and welcomed me to the inner circle. Hal came over and told me I was to receive the sign on bonus of $2,500 cash tonight. And on my first check in my new position I will get another $2,500 and I will be getting a salary of $100,000 per year plus bonuses and a company credit card as I will be traveling a lot with the sales team.

I told my hubby I was getting a $2,500 sign on bonus.… wait until he reads this 🙀.   Tits!!

This definitely doesn’t fall under “best practices” for organizing lifestyle events:

      https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/27/nyregion/nycha-bronx-staff-sex-parties.html

“The litany of problems facing public housing residents in New York City — mold, lead paint, faulty boilers and leaky roofs — just got longer: claims of staff sex parties.

The entire 40-person staff of a housing development in the Bronx was reassigned over the weekend after residents complained that some workers had been drinking and having sex on the job.

Male and female supervisors at Throggs Neck Houses engaged in erotic activities with their subordinates for months — both inside and outside the buildings, said Monique Johnson, the president of the development’s resident association.”

While this is news, it is not particularly positive news.

Re:  Jerry Falwell, Jr and his family, for example here:

      https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-falwell-relationship/

Here are the first two paragraphs of the report:

WASHINGTON – In a claim likely to intensify the controversy surrounding one of the most influential figures in the American Christian conservative movement, a business partner of Jerry Falwell Jr has come forward to say he had a years-long sexual relationship involving Falwell’s wife and the evangelical leader.

Giancarlo Granda says he was 20 when he met Jerry and Becki Falwell while working as a pool attendant at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel in March 2012. Starting that month and continuing into 2018, Granda told Reuters that the relationship involved him having sex with Becki Falwell while Jerry Falwell looked on.

Ignoring the political aspects of the timing of all of this, there are some takeaways.

      1. Political leanings are irrelevant to biological drives, sexual fantasies, and the behaviors that follow.

      2. The problems arise from the evident hypocrisies: preaching 'family values' (however defined) while practicing something beyond a standard of marital monogamous heterosexuality.

      3. Institutions and groups that perpetuate such hypocrisies typically respond the same way, namely by denouncement and expulsion of the person(s) who have been "found out" and restatement of the institutional/group value.

      4. There is a business dispute including accusations of extortion folded into all of this.

It is absurd to imagine that leaders are somehow immune from fantasies and the intentions to act on those fantasies. What would be more helpful are commonsense boundaries between public and private lives as well as reasonable display of integrity. Even then, humans find ways to accommodate 'sinful behaviors' while embracing integrity:

Rick: How can you close me up? On what grounds?

Captain Renault: I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!

[a croupier hands Renault a pile of money]
      Croupier: Your winnings, sir.

Captain Renault: [sotto voce] Oh, thank you very much.

      [aloud]
Captain Renault: Everybody out at once!

Neither the evangelical community nor Mr. Falwell's employers should be "shocked, shocked" to find that (even) their annppointed spokesperson enjoyed variety in sexual expression, apparently with the knowledge and consent and participation of his wife of 34 years. Adopting the usual denouncement-and-expulsion-upon-being-found-out strategy ("Do as we say, not what he did!--He was weak and you must be strong!")  merely reinforces the idealized pretense of purity. The reality is that tensions between sexual suppression and sexual expression are as old as civilization. While individuals and institutions can impose rules on themselves and set expectations for others, a bit of realism would be welcome: the aforementioned tensions cannot be "wished away".  At the same time, business dealings with playmates might be predicted to end badly, as appears to have happened in this case.

      The Reuters article concludes:

In a statement released Friday, before news of the relationship with Granda became public, Liberty University said its “decision whether or not to retain Falwell as president has not yet been made.” Its board of trustees, the statement read, “requested prayer and patience as they seek the Lord’s will and also seek additional information for assessment.”
