Is this normal for a swinger hotel party?

Recommended Posts

Hey I'm just curious about something. We were recently invited to a hotel party. We've only been on 2 "dates" with other couples, no clubs/parties, etc., so we have NO clue about how they usually go.

We asked for more details, and one of the things they said in the reply was that "everyone will get naked when they come in the room, that way there is no staring". And that they would order pizza and we would sit around naked and eat.

Ummmm.....is this a "normal" kind of hotel party, cause I (the wife) am not really getting turned on by sitting around a room full of naked strangers shoving pizza in their face :surrend:

I'm just wondering if the immediate get naked requirement is common, cause I don't really want to bother getting more info on parties if it is....just not my thing.

Doesn't sound like much of a party to me. I've gone to hotel bar take overs for socializing, dancing and discounted rooms. Towards the end of the night couples announce that the socializing can continue in one or more of the rooms or a few couples head off together to play in their rooms once chemistry is known, but just walking into a room and immediately getting naked to eat pizza seems a little cheesy to me, pun intended. I'd rather stay home or go to a nice club with Bob and dress sexy for him and then come home or stay in a nice hotel near the club.

OK, I've heard of hotel suite parties that do require you to be naked to enter. If I did a search, I think I'd find a post or two by VegasLee where he hosted such parties during conventions back in the day. The motivation was for different reasons though.

I seriously doubt those parties had people sitting around eating pizza though. ;)

So, their party, their rules. If you're comfortable with it, then attend. If not, then don't. No worries either way, and everyone wins. :)

Yeah, I am with the others on this one...strange indeed. We've been to all kinds of parties and nudity was never a requirement - but certainly encouraged:lol:

If you're not going, politely decline...doesn't sound like something we'd attend.

We've been to house parties that have had a definite, "Okay, time to get naked" point, but it's not so much a requirement as it is the natural progression.

The situation you're presenting almost sounds like something newbies would do. I could see why someone would want to try it, just don't know that it would flow as easily as they're anticipating.

Been to hotel take over parties, never seen this happen. I'm like you, I'd not be comfortable with it. I'm totally ok with getting naked and all that but Im not ok with going to a party where there are set rules you have to follow like that. Just weird to me.

I don't think this is either abnormal, suspicious or weird.

I think it is just different than what most are accustomed to.

An activity doesn't need to be labeled in a negative manner just because it isn't in our comfort zone. :)

Do you know anything about the party organizer(s)?

I was ok until the pizza. That part just weirded me out.

I can see the requirement of stripping upon entry for the sake of putting everyone on even ground. Some clubs require that in their play areas. But, yes the idea of sitting around eating pizza in a room full of naked people is not a turn on.

That said, I've probably done it.

No I don't know the people who invited us at all, just that they are on SLS. They claimed there would be 3 other couples, 5 single women and 5 single guys there (I may be off on exact numbers ) Like I said I know NOTHING about hotel parties, so this just seemed way outta my "league" I guess. It seems more like a "nudist" thing than a swinger thing to me ? Just cause I am a swinger doesn't mean I walk around naked all the time, though I suppose if I was better at it I might LOL I was just curious about others opinions on it. Hopefully we will be invited to another party soon that feels like a better match for us :D

We have been to and thrown a couple of hotel parties and never heard of this.

It is generally accepted that if you do go to a small "intimate" gathering like this you will participate. We have seen a few clubs or parties that require you to undress when you arrive. Women usually in lingerie and men nude or in a towel only. We avoid these.

At our party we had finger foods, drinks, and a social hour where we all chatted and got to know eachother. After everyone had had a couple of drinks we played a couple of ice breaker games and from there evolved organically into play time.

I've been to a number of house parties that had a snack table and a time, usually after an hour or so of social time, when nudity was required for those who chose to stay. I don't see anything strange about that. But this sounds more like a nudist pizza party. That is a little different.

We often get what I call "trolling" invites. They are just trolling for people to come to their party, be it a hotel, home, vacation house etc. I suspect that there are few, if any, people that actually accept these invites from people they do not know, so the line-up of 3 couples, 5 SF & 5 SM is likely to turn out to be 4 SM and one couple.

If I reply at all, I usually just tell we do not party with people we do not know and have not developed a chemistry with, and we would be glad to get to meet them at the next social that we plan to attend.

Be thoughtful of how you word it however, I replied in the manner I mentioned above on one occasion where the profile sounded good and the photos looked great. Then I found out that it was a couple that we had met a couple of times at a social, I just did not recognize their nic or photos (looked nothing like them because they were several years old). They were a nice couple but there was no attraction when we met and while we had no problem being friends and chatting at socials, we did not see them as potential play partners.

I have seen some house parties that said everyone gets naked and there is a place to store our cloths and bags. Never really thought of it as being strange or weird, just different from most parties. In one case I know the woman from the group and they prefer orgies, and are straight forward that if you come then come to play, they don't care for those that just come to gawk. You are not required to play, but they not a show for newbies to figure out if they are ready. It is a fairly consistent group and once in a while invite new blood into the circle.

We agree with Coupleerotic22 in the fact that we only have sex with people we have developed a chemistry with.

In this scenario:

In one case I know the woman from the group and they prefer orgies, and are straight forward that if you come then come to play, they don't care for those that just come to gawk. You are not required to play, but they not a show for newbies to figure out if they are ready.

We are not into the lifestyle to have sex for the sake of having sex and something like this would be a huge turn off. If we go to a house party it would be for the same reason we went to an on premise club...in the hopes of meeting a new local couple and making a connection.

Nothing wrong with it just not for us and to each their own.

New Year’s Eve Swingers Party At Sacramento Hotel Gets Mixed Reaction

You just never know where a party might be. Checking into a Doubletree with a family might be more than you thought it would be.

We just returned from the Splash Party in Orlando (complete hotel takeover) and noticed some hotel room doors that were left ajar by the lock closure bar. In one room in particular, we noticed quite a few different people going in and out from it at all hours of the day and some at night. Does anyone know if a propped open door at a hotel takeover means anything? I am thinking it might be a play room for those in the know? We plan to attend more hotel takeovers, and certainly other Splash Parties, so we were curious.

Attending a swingers hotel takeover can be a fun way to meet a lot of like-minded sexy people and enjoy a great weekend! Groups hold events all across the country. All events are different, but here is some advice to ensure that you get the most out of any hotel takeover.

      1. Know What You Are Getting Into!
Before paying to attend the event, make sure it is a FULL hotel takeover. Some events claim to be a hotel takeover but are actually only taking over one floor of the hotel. Or, they may have the whole hotel, but only for some of the nights. In either of these cases, you are dealing with situations that will open the hotel up to non-swingers. Non-swingers unsuspectingly stumbling into some swinger fun can lead to some less than desirable situations.

      2. Reach Out Ahead of Time
Once you have established that the event is a full takeover and you have decided to attend, try to find out who else might be going. Some events have online groups or websites where you can talk with other couples. In many cases, you can find a list of attendees on sites like Swinglifestyle.com. Check out the list and contact other couples who are attending to say hello and see if you can establish a line of communication BEFORE you get to the party. Reaching out online ahead of time will make it easier to connect with people in person at the event.

      3. Theme Parties
If the parties have themes attached to them, try to plan ahead to dress in theme. It just makes things more fun, and it's one more way to start conversations.

      4. Get There Early
If at all possible, arrive the night before the hotel takeover begins. Arriving early will allow you time to get comfortable with your room and work any kinks out that you may encounter as well as give you a chance to meet people before things really get going. If there is a hot tub, go hang out by it. If other swinger couples came early too, you will probably find them around the hot tub.

      5. Don't Miss the 1st Day
If you can't be there early, then at least be there when the party starts! With fewer people there on the first day, it is much easier to meet people around the pool and have a great time. It's also much easier to find an empty chair around the pool. Speaking of pool parties...

      6. Pool Parties
If there are pool parties, be at them! Some of the most fun is at the pool parties and often some great giveaways. Also, get up early to get a seat. Those pool chairs fill up quickly, so if you aren't up early, you may find yourself standing around to watch the action.

      7. Don't Waste Time
Be on time to the parties. Again, if you aren't on time, you may find yourself standing all night. Plus, if you are early or on time, you can easily meet and mingle with others as they arrive rather than coming in after things have already gotten started and finding yourself just wishing you had a place to sit or even stand!

      8. Be Aware of the Rules!
The event sponsor signed a contract with the hotel binding them to certain conditions. The most common is no sex in public places, and it may include no nudity in certain areas. Be aware of the rules, and don't break them! Invariably someone always pushes the boundaries, and the hosts hate to be the bad guys. But if the wrong people see the wrong thing (think hotel manager seeing you give a blowjob at the pool), they can shut the whole event down, not just for this time but for future events too. So don't kill everyone's fun. Just because it's an adult event doesn't mean you don't have to act like a responsible adult!

      9. The Best for Last - The Party Rooms!
Party rooms are where all the action takes place! Be courteous. If you aren't playing, don't stand around gawking or having a conversation a few feet from someone who is playing. Keep your distance or find somewhere else to hold your conversation. And if you do want to play, then get in there! Always ask first. No always means no, no questions asked. Just because you're a swinger and you are there, and they are swingers and they are there, doesn't automatically mean they want to have sex with you! Most events have several party rooms to suit your needs and moods and help you find compatible people, so enjoy them!

      Greetings All--

My wife and I will be attending in the next month or so our first hotel party (which seems to be different than a simple "meet and greet" which we have tried). Perhaps a silly question-- what should I as a guy wear? Forgive me if this has been answered before but I could not find a prior thread discussing the topic (many threads on women wear). I ask because I obviously don't want to stick out like a sore thumb and I admittedly have zero fashion sense, especially with any new "trends." I would appreciate any help on this, again I know, silly question.

Anyone ever been to a swingers hotel takeover?

We've done Desire Pearl, and loved it. Wondering if a hotel takeover can be anything like a "tide us over" sort of weekend until we can get away to Desire again.
