In Indiana, I've seen all ages from "can't drink" to "great-grand parent." What do you think, Mr. Q? Do your friend's comments even make sense? Spend some time on the board and read what people write. You know, maybe we should all stive to be young and beautiful, but that isn't going to happen for many of us. Thank you all, very much. You have actually helped a great deal; the deafening silence from California folks tells me I'm right about the shallowness of my home state's scene. No one has stepped up to defend or refute.

 

You see, my partner and I were in the lifestyle from late 2005 until Halloween night, 2008. I would estimate that in over 80% of our experiences, we, either individually or as a couple, were shunned, slammed, and outright humiliated by the people we encountered time and time again. Most of those experiences were in Sacramento, and a few were the San Francisco Bay Area. I have no clue what it was that made that the rule instead of the exception (as so many have claimed it is). We believe ourselves to be attractive, witty, funny, affable and genial. We don't, however, meet the ridiculous standards of ideal "beauty" fobbed off on the body politic of America today. You will always have the 'bold and beautiful' crowd and we have a few of them around us. Not to insult anyone but it tends to be the ones that spend 30 hours a week or more in the gym (god, I'm stereotyping here) but it's true.

Clubs in California I've been to quite a few times:

FA, thetoyboxclub, thads, CB (closed), clubtaboo, garyandmargarets, socalcircusie, gemini, sea mountain (also as San Marcos Inn), hillside ranch, aquifinity (closed), panther palace (closed), Play Pals-when they were with a group SCPS (not sure open or closed), others I know I'm missing - sorry--and the only one where looks super mattered to the host: theonlinecountryclub (closed) BUT....we played with other members during our visit...

I can't speak for CA but I doubt it's much different than anywhere else - you'll find swingers of all shapes and sizes.
