unusualsuspects 26 Posted April 29, 2009 We're on baycouples (SF bay area focused, though there are some outliers) lifestylelounge (seems ok, though low hit rate so far) swinglifestyle (just joined) Other than these and this site definitely get ahold of the podcasts swingercast and the savage lovecast. Swingercast is a couple (John and Allie) who do trip reports and interviews with other swingers and is great for hearing a very human side of the swinging. Savage Lovecast is the podcast version of Dan Savage's excellent sex/relationship advice column Savage Love. Quote Share this post Link to post

JustAskJulie 2,595 Posted April 29, 2009 Unfortunately, it depends a lot on where you are. My suggestion is always to take advantage of any free trial they offer and use that to search the site and get a good idea of how many people match what you are looking for locally (as well as check out their features). Then make a decision from there based on which one you're most likely to use. I won't promote a site that doesn't at least have some sort of free trial attached to it for that reason. There are new sites popping up every day claiming to be swinger sites and claiming to have hundreds of thousands of members. Looking back at your OP, you are looking for single females... your best bet is not going to be the internet. Most who have any success finding single females do so in their regular life or via vanilla clubs. Most single females (bi or not) aren't looking on swinger sites.... and unfortunately, most of those you will find (if you try to go the method I suggested above) are not real, so that's not even a good avenue. Some sites do more to cut out the fakes than others, but they all have them. AFF is probably the worst for being riddled with SF ads that are nothing more than promoting some girls cam, website or 800#. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Guest screaminggood Posted April 29, 2009 We find our single women at lifestyle clubs. They are there, it's just hit or miss on which nights, and sometimes they appear to be with a couple because they hang on to a couple for safety....so it takes some investigative talking to find out if they are available or already matched. Speed & Trixie 163 Posted April 29, 2009 We've had a profile on AFF for a couple of months, and have had very little success with it. Our biggest problems with the site have been: 1. Couples contacting us (me) looking for a threesome with a single woman. We are a couple and the first sentence of our profile clearly states we are a couple and only play with couples as a couple. 2. Couples contacting us (as a couple), stating their interest in us and asking to read their profile and let us know if they're interested. Of the 3-5 couples we replied and said "yes, we'd love to meet you, let's set up a time and place" ZERO have contacted us again to set up a meet! 3. Single women rarely contact us (which we expected), but when they do, it's often a woman totally outside our description of who we're interested in meeting. For example, a married woman who's husband doesn't know she's on the site. 4. When I/we contact single women, they don't respond (also expected) or aren't what their profile states. I wasted a lot of time talking to a woman in my area, and it became obvious to me that she didn't really want to meet in person. She was/is a pic and story collector I guess... 5. LOL almost forgot about the single men! I've gotten lots of dick pictures and one-line emails like "U know ur hot, let's do this" or "am I gonna get lucky tonight?" They mostly end up in the junk box though. Our AFF account expires in May, and we will not renew it. I'd like to try SLS or another site that's geared more toward swingers. Trixie Let's not leave these people out of the AFF description: 1) Profile of a single woman, you exchange e-mails or talk in chat only to find out she has a husband that likes to watch. 2) Profile as a couple, she is the one that gets to play and he can only touch what he brung or the women are only allowed to play together. 3) Friend collectors. Why would we want to include someone in our friends network when they live in freakin' Germany? Quote Share this post Link to post
funfrkycpl 77 Posted November 9, 2009 Right now we use three sites on a regular basis, SwingersZoneCentral, Swappernet, & SwingLifestyle. Out of those three we think that SwingersZoneCentral is by far the best & is getting better all the time. Great customer service, great message board, & great party utilities. The groups on there aren't very active, but as the site grows we think that is going to change. A year ago we would have probably said Swappernet, but in our opinion a lot of the changes they have made over that last few years have really hurt the site. It use to be the most active site we were on, but that isn't the case anymore. More and more people we know are leaving the site everyday & most of the people we know that are still on there, wouldn't be if they weren't lifetime members. If we didn't host parties & use the party invite system so often we would have left too. Hopefully they start to make some positive changes soon, but the way things have gone we doubt that will happen. We don't use Swinglifestyle as much as we use to, but we think it's a good site. Not much to brag about, but we don't have anything negative to say about it either. There are a few other sites we really like, LoveVoodoo, swingers date club, & LifestyleLounge, but they just aren't very active in our area. The site that we think has the most potential is Kasidie. It started out as a online magazine for swingers with a lot of very informative articles, but they now have a personals section of the site as well. Again the only problem we have is there aren't many members from our area and the ones that are from our area we already know. Quote Share this post Link to post
curiouslyinct 15 Posted November 13, 2009 Swingerzonecentral was created by the folks that built swappernet and then sold it. Quote Share this post Link to post
SoFlaCp 85 Posted November 14, 2009 We joined Swingers Date Club (SDC) a few months ago, but only recently got our profile where we like it and our pictures taken and uploaded. We find that in from a newbie perspective (we've been active for 1 month) that SDC has a number of features we like. Remembering profiles, favorites, friends networks, connections and visibility into who has "remembered" us, etc. Lots of people in our areas and we've already had a couple of hits and our first meet is next week. A couple we met and played with pointed us there and have validated us - and that helps also. So far everything has been good - and for that we are actually surprised (we block single guys - may have something to do with it). We'll check back after 3 months. Quote Share this post Link to post

nllswing 81 Posted January 6, 2010 Greetings! I hope somebody can help. We just joined AFF as a couple, thinking "Gosh, this is New York, there must be LOTS of couples." Well, in a 50 mile radius of where we live (very close to NYC) there were no more than a couple of hundred full membership profiles that fell in our quite wide age range. This is not much if you narrow down for what you like and further narrow down for those who would reply back to you. I was hoping that a "gold membership" would keep me busy for a while on that site. After a day I have browsed all profiles that have a photo. There are 20 million people in the 50-mile area and only a few hundred profiles? Maybe I am looking in the wrong place. Is there a site, which is better for finding NY/CT/NJ couples? Thanks Quote Share this post Link to post
mikeandjenn2001 77 Posted January 7, 2010 From what we have seen, it completely depends on the area you're in. When we were in CA, swing life style was fine. We're on swinger zone central right now, but we're in OH and it seems that there are a lot of people from the eastern and Midwestern area on it, but not so many from CA. There is also a new one that was started that is completely free, no hidden charges, no trial memberships, free, that is called swapper city USA, but again, as it was started by a couple here in Ohio, there aren't many people on it from different areas yet. ncmd_couple 597 Posted January 7, 2010 NllSwing, Swinglifestyle and lovevoodoo are good sites for your area. Quote Share this post Link to post
nllswing 81 Posted January 8, 2010 Thanks ncmd_couple. I have not heard about lovevoodoo. If we get a chance, we will try them both. It has been an emotional roller coaster the last few weeks. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
AskMeOk 148 Posted April 5, 2010 For the last few years we have only been members of SLS. We let the other memberships lapse because the demographics tended to be much younger. I guess when we were 25-30 we wouldn't have been interested in the over 50 crowd, either. Recently, we've gotten quite a few ads from other sites. I guess times are hard. We began to wonder if our "circle of friends" might be too small. Anyway, does anybody have any advice concerning other sites that may be tending toward the older demographics? While we're at it.... how about any clubs? Quote Share this post Link to post
JustAskJulie 2,595 Posted April 7, 2010 When you think about it it's going to be the same sites that worked for you when you were younger... those same people are still around and getting older just like you. Same with the clubs. Oddly, most clubs I've found do tend to trend towards the late 40s (at least down here) but luckily they usually have just enough of the younger crowd to keep things balanced - which I think is what you really want in a club (or at least what I really want). In the end with the websites, unless someone can come along and create something so GOOD that they can build that base of users the way that SLS did when they got started it's going to be hard for any site to replace them. HOWEVER, there are some sites that pop up locally in some areas that far outdo SLS in their local demographic - it's just a matter of figuring out if there is one of those in your area. Quote Share this post Link to post
AskMeOk 148 Posted April 7, 2010 Wow.... you made me do some homework! Locally, it seems that clubs trend toward the middle to late 30's. A large difference may be that you have 50% more people in the 45-60 age bracket than we do in NC. Another phenomenon (seed for another book?) I observe is that many folks tend to quit swinging after their early 40's. When I was younger, the "sites" were booklets only available at porn shops. All of that notwithstanding, all of the "old timer" swingers have no idea where "the others" went, but they aren't around now. I am bemoaning the fact that things *aren't* balanced. Folks 20 years my junior are in plentiful supply, it is the older demographic that is in short supply. I guess I just live in an area where (1) the population density is not conducive and (2) where (for whatever reason: health, culture, etc.) folks just lose their sex drive earlier than one would predict. Quote Share this post Link to post
SecretAsianMan 348 Posted April 7, 2010 Most of the swingers that I play with in my area (Los Angeles / So Cal) tend to be a slightly older crowd (40+) ...with a steady influx of 20-somethings who join in and burn out rather quickly... I personally prefer the slightly older crowd. (Less drama) Quote Share this post Link to post
SW_PA_Couple 4,026 Posted April 8, 2010 Don't be fooled by the seemingly disproportionate number of profiles you see at Swing Lifestyle. Around here, there are just as many 50+ people at clubs and private parties than thirty-somes. With children at home or teenagers asking "where you been", it a wonder anyone younger that fifty ever gets out to have fun. We've tried a dozen different so-called swingers' hookup site. None produce a better result than Swing Lifestyle. Quote Share this post Link to post

exploringRM 305 Posted April 8, 2010 Here in Pennsylvania which seems to be swing central USA based on profile numbers, there are many people in their 40s-60s that are in the lifestyle. We've never seen a lack people our age (49/50) at the clubs and meet & greets. Quote Share this post Link to post
hughb 45 Posted April 9, 2010 We have been using kasidie . com for the past few months and really liking their format. So far membership seems to be more regional with Vegas, Colorado and texas being most active. SLS is a great fallback option though. Quote Share this post Link to post

allnightfuncpl 60 Posted April 9, 2010 We are on C4P and SLS. We have had the best luck with meeting people and finding places to go on C4P, SLS has not been a very good site for us even when we had our old account on there and had all the pictures we could have on there on there. (We don't have pics on the SLS account now because 99% of the people we run into on there are people we already know from C4P.) We did the AFF thing, SDC and TLSL but found there was either nothing but a bunch of posers AFF or not too many people close by SDC and TLSL. C4P is very active in the midwest, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Quote Share this post Link to post
divenaked 325 Posted April 9, 2010 Swappernet used to be the site to use in this area. Before that, AFF ruled. Now, SLS is the dominant force. We have friends in the midwest. Couples4Play is the regional leader there. Quote Share this post Link to post
AskMeOk 148 Posted April 9, 2010 Many moons ago, we were on SwapperNet, too..... in fact, we made our first real contact there..... We met the other couple (first couple) at a restaurant and it seemed to be, on a scale of from 1 to 10, an 11.... and included plans to play the following weekend... (Now.... let's look at reality. He was a stay-at-home and she was a trouble-shooter, away from home for extended periods of time.) Though we'll never know, I suspect skulduggery on her behalf. Anyway, the next day, they evaporated! Profile. Cell Phone. Land Line.... GONE. We had addresses and could have stalked, but Ms. Ask's tears notwithstanding, we packed it in. She had done most of the "contact efforts" and felt some sort of failure..... I assured her.... not our fault. I know they have new management.... but.... I'm just not going to push it.... maybe later.... Quote Share this post Link to post

Also, it's a lot less frustrating to have no profile than to have a failing one, lol. Maybe we'll try it again, but we're feeling a bit burned out on those things, to be honest. And yes, we tried posting our plans to going to the clubs. I think maybe these clubs are just cliquish. We'd like to try some others for comparison, but finding time for long distance travel is a bit difficult. Thanks for the tips though. The thing is, having these profiles out there and finding no interest was not just frustrating for us, but it was somewhat distressing to our self esteem. Do you know what I mean? Really, we'd rather just leave those sites be than find ourselves waiting anxiously for some kind of contact that never seemed to happen. It really was unfortunate, but honestly, it made us feel sort of bad. Quote Share this post Link to post

AFF, Swinglifestyles, SDC, something called Devil Date, etc. We have spent a good bit of money, but there is simply nothing going in our area. DiscreetDesires 32 Posted May 2, 2010 Our main and most used account in on CouplesTouch. It is primarily geared for those living in Texas, but there has been a big surge of people from other states as well, especially Louisiana. This (according to us) has been the most friendly site around after trying dozens of others, and includes most of the features during the free trial. I think the only thing that you cannot do as a free trial member is view webcams and view more than the first pic on the profile... but you have full access to email and such which is nice, and you also do not have to provide a credit card number for your free trial. While seven pages of profiles in Baton Rouge alone may not be a lot, but 12 pages later and only 10 miles out from the center seems to show there is life around you. There are also a lot of on premise and even more off premise clubs too. I think it would be worth checking out some of the smaller venues instead of the larger 200+ people type events. Just a thought. To the OP, we like swing lifestyle the best, and seems to have a wide coverage area. We have done very well there. CouplesClique 15 Posted July 28, 2010 Unfortunately, it depends a lot on where you are. Quoted for truth! Running a board like this and especially a "social network " like an AFF costs a lot of money to operate. So they need a lot of paid members and or paid advertisers. No one is going to pay if there are not a lot of profiles from their area. So between the fake ones and the single men they market to on adult entertainment sites many of the "dating sites " are littered with profiles that will never lead to a meaningful opportunity.
