Saving your SO from embarrassment (Uncircumcised)

Recommended Posts

My new BF said something to me about putting in my profile that he is uncircumcised. I told him the reason I mention it was to save him from embarrassment. That's if the lady or couple has read my profile. Not every woman wants to be with a guy that is not circumcised. I remember the days when I would not be with a uncircumcised guy. I was always told it would lead to a yeast infection. Not good :( Plus many uncircumcised men experience extra sensitivity because of the extra fore skin making their stamina none existent. I don't want my boyfriend to experience any awkward experiences. Was I helping him by mentioning this in my profile or is it truly a embarrassment?

I believe this is helpful but not necessary. There are few of us who do not present some kind of surprise or another when the wrappings first comes off. People generally understand this.

Your boyfriend should not view a statement of this fact to be embarrassing.

To be honest, I never understood why it was so important for women to make that distinction with men. First of all, I feel really bad for all the boys and men that go through the circumcision procedure. Second, it's a dick. Is it attached to a man I find attractive and who finds me attractive? Then it doesn't matter what their package looks like--circumcised, uncircumcised, big, small, straight, curved--it's all good to me. It's just like those men who like all breasts.

If it bothers your boyfriend that it is noted in your profile, my vote would be to erase that line.

There are women who would indeed reject a man for having an uncircumcised cock. I'm pretty sure the issue is discussed on multiple threads, but here's one where the cut/uncut poll turned into a referendum instead. You might have your boyfriend read it and then revisit the issue of what is on your profile after he's done so.

The 2 things that turn the Misses off. 1. is an uncircumcised cock and 2. a pierced cock. That is her choice.

I think it's helpful as information but not embarrassing. I've known women who only play with circumcised men, whether it's a personal preference or a choice based on myths. So having it on the profile helps narrow the search. An uncut cock is as good as a cut one in my opinion. I admit sometimes it's a bit dirtier or smelly because the guy didn't wash it thoroughly, but I blame that on personal hygiene, not on circumcision. If after 20 some years a guy does not know how to wash his uncut cock, then that's the embarrassment.

No one wants a surprise when clothes come off, so good to put in the profile.

Ehhhhhh... I'm uncut and I must admit I had been self conscious about it at one point in time but it's no longer anything I worry about.

I don't think I need to disclose it in our profile because it doesn't change who I am and it's a natural part of my body, it's not an STD or anything.

If I come across a profile that states they only want cut guys then I know not to contact them and all is good but having to put something on my profile that doesn't impose any potential threat to a partner seems as silly as having a woman post that they have a large labia or something, it's not a big deal... If someone has a preference against it they can inquire beforehand or otherwise state their preference IMO.

Course if you are not bothered by it, why not put it in your profile? It goes both ways. In the USA in the general swingers age group most guys are cut, so while it's part of your body, it's not a part we have run into swinging ourselves.

My thought and, correct me if I'm wrong, is that most would not want to put it in their profile because it might be a turn off, and the idea is that if it gets to naked time, most may just go with it rather than stop play ;)

@Chicup, That is true, However; in the OP's case it sounds like her SO is a little self conscious about it. Perhaps he feels that announcing it is a turn off to others and will get him and his lady shut down before they get a fair chance at meeting a couple. I believe OP meant well when she decided to disclose that detail about her BF and it wouldn't be a big deal except in this case OP assumed she was saving him from embarrassment and that sort of assumption may be enough to trigger a defensive response over a topic one is already preoccupied with.

In my case, I honestly never thought it was an important enough detail to need to be up on our profile; it had never even came across my mind in relation to swinging. It doesn't bother me and although my wife prefers uncut, it isn't a big enough deal to her either.

As far as your thought about omitting details that turn someone off; I think a profile of any sort will highlight positive details and attributes of the individual or couple. If someone considers foreskin to be something they are ashamed of or a turn off to others I can see why they would actively avoid mentioning such a detail in their profile especially if the site's application doesn't directly ask about circumcision.

I guess it comes down to if you are trying to save someone else from embarrassment you need to make sure they would actually feel embarrassed about the situation first. So, the real question is were you trying to save HIM from embarrassment? Or yourself?

I don't really care if it's mentioned or not, it's not going to affect my decision. However, I don't see an issue with listing something like that right along with cock size (which almost everyone mentions, whether it's in an objective or subjective way). Whatever way it's mentioned it should be done in a positive way and not as a warning. Perhaps it wasn't that you listed it in the profile but how that he was reacting to? Further discussion between you may be necessary.

Edit: I just visited your profile on SLS and I don't see an issue with "how" it was included. It's just another part of his description like saying what color hair he has.

I didn't even know it was something women found unattractive until recently (and only on the internet). Thankfully we've never run into someone in person. I won't be putting it up in our profile because I don't find it to be a big deal. If it turns someone off in the moment, I sure won't be embarrassed about it.

A lot of people wouldn't even notice once the lights are dimmed and you are erect. The Mrs. has a play friend that she didn't know was uncut till months later when we were all sunning at the nude beach. I had to tease her a little ;-)

I worry more for him because if a woman was to suck on him, yes, it is very noticeable. Hw tells me he is not embarrassed by it and he has not has any complaints thus far. Just hope it continues that way.

Maybe I'm just not experienced enough (or haven't seen enough cocks *wink wink to the guys*) but once a man is aroused, I can't really tell the difference. Now, I have seen at least one where it definitely seemed that the circumcision procedure took off more than it should have. :(

If he's not embarrassed and he doesn't seem worried about being put into that situation where the female playmate gets turned off by being presented with an uncircumcised penis, then I wouldn't worry about it if I were in your shoes. Clearly, the only one with the problem in that situation would be the female playmate...and she would be missing out on some fun times. Chances are, if the woman is that particular about a playmate's circumcision status, she would ask prior to playing. I would think this is akin to the shaved or not shaved. Some people cannot stand bald or hairy. If they have a very strong preference, then they usually ask upfront.

Nothing to be embarrassed about at all.

It MAY limit the number of opportunities to a small degree, but on the other hand it would eliminate wasting your time by finding out at the very last second the woman will not play with uncut men. Or worse, having her be too embarrassed to say anything and just going through the motions half heartedly.

Now, you cannot just put this little piece of information in front of me and not explain. I cannot imagine how either an infant's or an adult's circumcision can go so wrong as this. Do you mean to say that the procedure made the male member shorter?

I don't know if I want to know the answer.

I do know this: I will NOT be doing a Google image search for "bad circumcision"

Let's just say things seemed too smooth all over.

ok, I'm still trying to work this one out (and no, visual aids won't be required, a written answer will suffice). So the shaft was smooth like the glans, or there wasn't any shaft at all?

Yeah, I'm sorry, but you're going to have to be more descriptive. ;)

Honestly, I've seen uncut cocks that looked a lot like baggy nylons even when semi-erect, what happens when you turn an outie into an innie and bends that made me wonder for a moment if there was any way tab A was going to work with slot B, but I can't picture (and I have a son, so I'm familiar with the actual procedure) how one can cut off too much foreskin.

But, please, I beg you, no photos.

It's been a very long time since I last saw it so my memory might be a bit incorrect but there was no frenulum and there seemed to be little difference between the shaft and the head.

(from a surgeon)

All,

It's well to remember that the foreskin (prepuce) can be operated on for reasons other than circumcision. That tissue is sometimes (surgically) moved and reshaped to address other problems.

Sunny, I wonder if what you saw was the consequence of a surgical repair of a hypospadias. This is a fairly common congenital condition of young boys in which the urethra (the tube that carries urine from the bladder to outside the body) does not end at the tip of the penis. Instead, it ends on the underside. In more severe cases, the urethra opens at the middle or bottom of the penis, or even in or behind the scrotum. The foreskin is sometimes used to create the new channel to extend the urethra to the tip of the penis. That means surgically opening the underside of the penis, creating the new channel, and stretching all the skin around the new channel over a catheter. The frenulum can easily be lost during such a repair. Plenty of internet info if you look for hypospadias repair. My point is that what you saw might be nothing more than the best efforts of surgeons to repair something that nature and genetics didn't quite get right.

More generally, it's worth remembering that there is no such thing as a perfect male body and a lot of people have had repairs that have nothing to do with vanity or preference. Different is different. As for conversations about penis preferences--cut, uncut, longer, shorter, thicker, slimmer, color,...bear in mind that --piercings and tattoos aside--the man to whom it is attached has likely had little choice in the matter.

Fun, thank you so much for the reminder! I can't believe I didn't keep that in mind. :(

:claps: I couldn't agree more.

I was just reading a thread about how a female was upset about potentially playing with an uncircumcised penis.

      Hi all,
it's me again, the woman who always has penis-questions!

We are currently living in Germany, and are planning on going to our first visit to a swingers club in this area.

I talked to a friend of mine, she is American and knows about our lifestyle, and when I told her about us going there, she surprised me with her comment that she could never go to a german club "because all the guys are not circumcised, and that is sooo yucky and disgusting!"

Well, I am german, married to a cut American, but I have been with intact guys before, and have yet to meet a "yucky and disgusting" one, even giving oral sex, makes no difference to me.

But after doing some research on the net, it seems like this is a very common response, mostly in American women (and I don't mean that in any disrespectful way, just an observation I made).

So my question would be, do most of you ladies also have a problem with this? If you would come to a European country, would you refrain from swinging because of this?

      curious in Germany!
