Tryst or Craigslist for finding swingers?

Recommended Posts

We have used Tryst mag as a couple and had some good luck finding single males. We are finding a lot of the same people that we either don't want or have played with before. My girlfriend has used Craigslist before and says there are a lot of creepy guys. Anyone have any good reviews for Craigslist?

I can give Craigslist a positive review. But then again, I will fish a hole full of carp and suckers to pull out the one trout or bass. Craigslist, when looking for a guy is pretty easy, just tedious. First, your ad has to be well written and informative. Request specific information in your ad. You want guys that actually read and understand what you are looking for. Replies that don't recognize your requests should be deleted. Ask for specific info in the subject line of replies so you don't even have to open the spam. If you open a reply and find one or 2 lines, unless specific questions, simply delete. "One line guy" is not a good lover, if he even shows up. Once you have a selection of guys, set up a meeting as quickly as possible, try to give them the opportunity to set the time and place. It helps on the no shows. (assuming you want to meet prior to sex)

Take no bullshit. If he shows up and it turns out his picture was 20 years old, call him on it. ANY blatant lies that will affect taking the relationship further and wasting your time should be met with humiliation. Maybe he won't do it again. Trust me, it is frustrating. We have used probably a half dozen sites but continue going back to CL, mainly due to the lack of candidates in this wasteland.

I say this is a positive review but "positive" is in the eye of the beholder. We probably make physical contact once out of every 30 or 40 e-mail contacts. Like I said, tedious and frustrating.

Craigs list works good in Denver. We do the pic for pic with news paper or something in it to demonstrate how current the pic is. What we have found is that craigs list people are d2f more than our stand by aff. You would think on a pay sight that people would be more serious about swinging than a free add. I have this theory that people use the pay sight as porn more than a hook up sight. If aff did not auto renew me I would have dumped them this fall.

Just remember the chase is half the fun

Pretty much the same as our experiences except I'd put the contact at about 1/60 :-) Of course that could be because about 3-4 respond with the info requested and 56 of the fuckers can't read:nono:

To the OP of this thread I'm a little confused at your original question as Tryst no longer publishes and just refers surfers to a swing site. Are you connected with that swing site and just trying to get traffic/members with a post like this?

No Gordo, they are not connected with Tryst, as I am actually the owner. You are right we no longer publish the printed magazine, but do not just refer surfers to a swing site, that is (& always has been the swingers site associated with Tryst Magazine). We have tried to make it very clear to visitors by having the magazine logo in our banner image, but obviously that did not work in your case. Guess I will have to change things. Sorry to hear that you would think that the original questions was not legitimate... Sandi
