Chicago or Kansas City recommendations for swinger clubs?

We're another newbie couple, married a long time so we're not kids, LOL! We're trying to find a swingers club somewhere within driving distance, so anywhere in Iowa, Minneapolis, Chicago, Kansas City (KC would be nice because we used to live there) where we can go and meet other couples and see if we hit it off with anyone.

 

We want on-premise play just so we can maybe move from the main area to maybe a lounge/sofa area where you might get to know a couple better and maybe play some before moving into a full bed play area. No expectations, if all we do is play with each other that's cool/hot (Wifey is a MAJOR exhibitionist and loves to play on webcam for people!)

 

We know we're not hard body 30 somethings so we don't expect to have everyone in the club run to us, but in vanilla bars we tend to make friends fast and get flirty. But it is SO hard to know what a club is really like - there are very few reviews, many websites (even some here) lead to dead links, etc. So one thing we're looking for is recommendations from real live couples here.

Chicago has two couples clubs, Couples Playhouse and Couples Choice. Both are nice. Playhouse is typically Saturday nights. Sundays in the summer they have a couple of pools, nude sun bathing, nude volley ball, playrooms are open, too. Couples Choice has both Friday and Saturday night events. Often Friday night evens (other groups that use the facility) allow select males, giving a lady a whole new set of opportunities to try. There are also a lot of "invite" type activities, groups using hotels, clubs, etc for swinger groups. There are advertised through groups in SLS, LifeStyle Lounge, and other social media swinger groups. Some are just meet and greets, some are far more.

To date we have only been to Couples Choice in Chicago, even though it is an 8 hour drive for us (so we stay overnight, there's a hotel there that is a couple of minutes away.) Both times were interesting. The first night, we let them know we were first time, and the hostess was very nice, showed us around, checked on us during the night, etc. The club itself was pretty nice, and a nice selection of playrooms (at the time we'd never been anywhere so we had nothing to compare with.) A group room with probably 5 beds moved together, some rooms that had a couple of beds, some private rooms, and a "bondage" room you had to sign up for (though we never saw anyone actually playing that way in there.) No single males allowed on the Saturday nights we have been there. Nice mix of couples. DJ, music, bar with mixers (you bring your own booze.) Even though we knew not to expect to connect with another couple the first night, we actually did, and we had our first ever play with another couple that night. Soft swap as in everything except cross couple intercourse. The ladies played with each other, then the guys joined in, lots of shifting partners, positions, a good time was had by all. We played in the group room, and there were several other couples playing in there also, though we seemed to be the only 4sum playing together. Quite a few couples standing in the room watching, some with the lady giving the guy next to them watching a BJ, etc. It was a lot of fun. Oh, the theme was Ladies in Men's Shirts that night, so my wife wore a man's shirt opened up, and stockings. Some women were with the theme, some weren't. The dress was very varied - some women had on very provocative clothing, some had on basically street clothes. Mix of ages.

 

The second night we went, a couple of months later, was different. Lots of couples, we ended up sitting with a couple and had a good time chatting but didn't really connect so we didn't play with anyone else that night, which is OK, the Wifey has a nice exhibitionist streak so we figured, later in the evening, we'd go up to the playrooms and play in the group room, but as we walked around the playrooms, NO ONE was playing. A lot of couples were standing around watching to see if others were playing but no one was on the beds. One couples got on the bed in the group room but everyone else just watched. Eventually we said the heck with it and got on the bed and started playing, eventually another couple started playing on the bed next to us, but it was odd how few people we saw actually playing and how many were just shuffling to playroom and playroom watching. We had a good time, but just a different vibe.

 

We'll probably go back, be interesting to see how it is a 3rd time. We have since been to Naughty in N'Awlins (and going back this summer!) with 700 couples together for a good part of a week and incredible play rooms and an entire hotel taken over by only the couples registered so we no longer feel like newbies. Be interesting to see how the club feels after that. The owners of couples choice are on Swinglifestyle so you can go on there and see couples who are signed up to go to the next event; we may see if we can connect with a couple before we get there.

 

As for the Spott - that's a LOT closer. We'd love to go and need to to check it out. We did have one couple tell us they went but none of the playrooms were set up for people to be able to watch who were not playing in the room, which would be odd - we need to ask them about that. We'd love to hear other's experience at The Spott - it is so hard to find reviews.

I can add to the Couple's Choice/Couple's Playhouse discussion.

 

We have been to Couple's Choice five or six times, always on a Saturday Night. I find the owners and the staff very friendly. We have made some really great friends there and had some really fun times. That being said the general atmosphere can vary rather dramatically as demonstrated above. Some nights everybody is having sex everywhere and some nights it just feels like a really friendly disco. One of the things we really appreciate about the club is it is really racially diverse.

 

We tried Couple's Playhouse for the first time last week. It being Easter we thought it would be pretty quiet. Mostly it was, however we were able to meet a really fantastic couple and had a great evening. I do appreciate the layout of Couple's Playhouse a bit more than Couple's Choice, it's large. The extra room means it's easier to talk away from the dance floor. Max, one of the owners gets a bit naughty and tries hard to break the ice, which I thought was successful, but the lady of the couple we met thought it was creepy. For your first time at the club they give you a green cup to identify you as new, and will get ask you to come on the dance floor to participate in some of their 'games'. All really harmless stuff.

Good to hear about both places. We are Angus and Maggie and we are new to swinging. We are the same distance from both clubs and are trying to make a choice for our first swingers experience. I must say the green cups and in my eyes signaling new people out on the dance floor is a little off putting. We want to move at our own pace and comfort zone. With that being said which club would you recommend for our first experience? We are wondering about the neighborhood for couples choice also. I know the name of the town it is in and it has a reputation for high crime. I know the town couples playhouse is in also and feel it is a much safer area. So any comments or any info you think would be of help would be much appreciated. As,of now we set a tentative date for couples choice for 6/13/15. Men's shirt and heels night. With that being said which club would you recommend for our first experience? We are wondering about the neighborhood for couples choice also. I know the name of the town it is in and it has a reputation for high crime. I know the town couples playhouse is in also and feel it is a much safer area.

 

We had a great 'first experience' at Couple's Choice. Crime there is a non issue. It's secluded, etc. Drive in drive out, nothing really remarkable,get gas in the neighborhood, etc. Definitely less pressure to act at Couple's Choice, people do a lot of watching. Better DJ at CC. You can get turned on with your wife watching others and find a private spot to get it on.

 

Couples Playhouse was a lot more overtly and interactively sexual. If we hadn't already been swinging and ready for what was about to happen I don't think Couple's Playhouse would have been that great...just my two cents. Open sex and sexuality was certainly overwhelming to us initially.

 

That being said after a few visits to Couple's Choice I would recommend Couple's Playhouse as well. People were there to play not just look. We, however have only been to Couple's Playhouse once.

And thanks for the feedback on Couple's Playhouse. Now that we aren't complete newbies, especially having experienced all the fun at Naughty in N'awlins (and heading back this year!) I think the more "active" nature at Couple's PLayhoouse may be worth trying. Just wish it wasn't so far away from us.

The place was clean and set up nice, they have a main dance and mingle area, a balcony area, 3 or 4 private play rooms where you shut and lock the door, and one large free for all room. The owners were super nice. I think there were less people than they advertise but there were storms in the area so that might have stopped some from coming out. There was a wide range of ages. People were dressed from casual to interesting costumes. We did feel that most there knew others already. We didn't really talk to many people though we did participate in some fun in the large free room. It was fun having people watch and getting involved in a group but long term we are looking for something more intimate and a couple we get to know to play with. I would go back and it was a good experience for a first time, but if we could find something closer we would probably not make the drive.

Thanks for the review! I agree, I wish there was something good in Omaha, for example. We've planned to go to the Spott just because the couple of clubs in Chicago are so far away, 8 hours for us.

 

I'm a little disappointed that the Spott only has about 3 or 4 playrooms and only one is "open" - Couples Choice in Chicago has quite a few more. But good to hear people were playing in the group room, our last visit to Couples Choice, there were a lot of people standing next to the wall in the group room, waiting to watch others play, and almost no one actually playing.
