We find that traditional STDs like syphillis and gonorrhea are uncommon among lifestylers. However, HPV and HSV are very common. Those viruses can evade condoms. HPV cannot be test detected in men. I like how you refer to yourself as bareback swingers.  I can see how some people might not want such a label, but on the other hand it will help draw like-minded people in, even if just for friendship.

 

I can totally see using them in clubs too.  I've only been to clubs twice, and Naughty in New Orleans Once.  It was interesting to watch other couples and wonder if they were going bare with someone that wasn't their spouse.  We didn't know enough people to be able to tell.

 

I heard about stdtest.com on a podcast called Normalizing Non-monogamy.  I might try that website if I can't get into the local clinic here.   There's a city clinic here in Austin where I can get a 5 or 6 panel test for 20 bucks.  Surely, it's subsidized.   It's tough to get in that clinic.   You have to call the day ahead, or be in line when the open the door in the morning.

We get tested annually for STDs with STD Check.com. It costs $198 for the basic panel. We pay for it privately (out of our own pocket) because our health care insurer doesn’t have to know everything. They send you to a local lab and give fast results. 
 

My wife also gets pap smears and HPV testing annually at her ob/gyn.
