sunbuckus 3,567 Posted June 20, 2015 It's summer time...at least where I am! Since we've been spending almost every day in the pool, I've acquired my tan lines already which means a white bottom and white breasts. Mr. Sun noted that I should sunbathe nude to even it out but I don't have the opportunity to do that for several many years. So, I was curious how the many members of Swingersboard view tan lines. Sexy? Not sexy? Eh? Meh? Are there certain tan lines that you like and others that you don't? Please, do tell! Quote Share this post Link to post
angelkin 1,326 Posted June 20, 2015 I think it can be sexy, but when I was in pursuit of a tan, I went to tanning beds. No tan lines for me Quote Share this post Link to post
oc1234 435 Posted June 21, 2015 My wife and I are very active nudists, so we prefer an overall tan. We don't go out of our way to get tans, but since we spend a lot of time outdoors nude, we get tans. Quote Share this post Link to post
cplnuswing 4,713 Posted June 21, 2015 We don't have a preference about tan lines one way or another, but I will add that we don't have any, thank you privacy fence That's not quite true actually since Mrs. cplnuswing has been spending a lot of time in the chaise lounge by the pool this summer and so is already really tan....except for right under her breasts and the creases of her groin. I've been teasing her about that, so she has taken to striking some shall we say more alluring positions to try to get those areas evened up a bit Hopefully not too prying of question, but I'm curious about the "not having the opportunity for several more years". I'm guessing that's because of extra sets of eyes in the house? She was the same way for a long time, but now, it's a "if you don't want to see then don't look out the back window" approach and it's turned out to be really no big deal at all. She just commented today that "I want her to see that I am comfortable with my body and maybe she will learn to be comfortable with hers quicker than I was able to because I had to overcome all the negative signals about bodies I received at home growing up". As always with kids, age makes a huge difference though. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I'm guessing that's because of extra sets of eyes in the house? Yeah, it's the extra sets of eyes. We're not prudes and we do occasionally walk around nude, especially after showering or other instances but our oldest has been Miss Modest for awhile now, covering herself up and averting her eyes. We figured we didn't want to make her more uncomfortable than she already is. And I'm more than okay with tan lines...the ones I have currently are a lot better than the farmer's tan. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
PandO 103 Posted June 21, 2015 O likes them. I personally think they are just part of living in a society where we are expected to cover things up. They happen. Who cares? Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted June 21, 2015 This year, I'm taking what I can get when it comes to the sun, we 've had more rain then sun but normally, I strive for no lines. Quote Share this post Link to post
Glida 250 Posted June 21, 2015 living under the middle eastern sun I get tan lines just walking down to pick the kids up from school in a pair of shorts and a tank, so I have to live with them. Mr G thinks they are sexy though and they don't bother me at all usually...But it's funny you should post this as I have my sister's wedding in the UK in August and for the first time in my life i'm wearing a strapless dress. It's made me so concious of not getting any tan lines which is a full time job in 40 degree heat. Quote Share this post Link to post
two4youinswva 3,068 Posted June 21, 2015 I happen to enjoy all types of skin tones, and contrasting tones on the same body. Must be my memories of catching a glimpse of untanned skin hidden by a cute bikini on an otherwise bronze body back when I was a youngster. So yeah, I like an all over tan, as well as the two-tone look. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Fundamental Law 2,885 Posted June 21, 2015 ... but our oldest has been Miss Modest for awhile now, covering herself up and averting her eyes. We figured we didn't want to make her more uncomfortable than she already is... This is a quite common situation with daughters growing up in the household. Finding that balance between casual nakedness and sensitivity is key to minimizing body shame. Quote Share this post Link to post
Fundamental Law 2,885 Posted June 21, 2015 Tan lines and other irregular skin shading are facts of ordinary life. They are neither sexy nor non sexy. That said, our preferred balance is good skin safety while sunbathing nude. A little color is fine, those deep tans and leathery skin, not attractive at all in our opinion. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
kikonkrome 844 Posted June 21, 2015 Sexy!!! I enjoy differences in skin tone... Quote Share this post Link to post
intuition897 2,179 Posted June 22, 2015 Mr. intuition says he thinks it's sexy. I say it depends. If you've got a really great ass and you've got a cute thong or Brazilian cut bikini tan line, it's really cute. But for me, tan lines on the boobs look kind of funny. Reminds me of a jack-o-lantern or something, LOL. If you've got really great boobs and can pull it off, that might be different. Doesn't work for me though. Actually, I try to avoid tanning too much. I've been told I have the kind of skin that's prone to developing skin cancer, so I try to keep it to a minimum. Especially my face. My skin tends to go splotchy in the summer, so as much as I hate sunscreen, I try to remember to use it at least on my face. Quote Share this post Link to post
MrDiscover 802 Posted June 22, 2015 Not sexy at all imho. What I meant was: it is not extra sexy for me, not a bonus. I like all kinds of skin tones but I don't prefer one over the other. Quote Share this post Link to post
PandO 103 Posted June 22, 2015 Actually, I try to avoid tanning too much. I do too. Not only do I not want skin cancer, but I kind of enjoy my milky white, soft skin. I don't mind that little bit of sun my face, neck, arms and all seem to get during the summer, but I don't attempt to add to it. Quote Share this post Link to post
GuyInMD79 1,500 Posted June 22, 2015 Mr. CoupleInMD79 here. I like all kinds of skin tones, but I kinda like seeing those tan lines! It leaves a suggestion that those special areas don't often come out, like a special present that is unwrapped just for me! Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,065 Posted June 22, 2015 Both work for me. Too much of anything is a bad thing and the same is true here. Too much sun or too dark of a tan is bad...skin cancer and bad skin in later years. However, is someone is light skinned and has some tan lines (especially a woman with only tan lines on her bottom and not top), well that can be very sexy. Still, it's not a requirement or something that is the only criteria, just a bonus. Quote Share this post Link to post
asncpl 729 Posted June 23, 2015 I don't have a preference. I think it can be sexy both ways. I personally don't go out of my way to tan, but when I do I usually go nude. I will say that tan people with no tan lines at parties and meet and greet give me a great conversation starter. I always compliment them on no tan lines and ask where they go to tan naked. It's a good way to break the ice, and I've learned some secret coves for going naked. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
AZCoupleII 46 Posted July 4, 2015 While I personally prefer no tan lines, I also know that all you have to do is "follow the line" to great things! Quote Share this post Link to post

intuition897 2,179 Posted July 4, 2015 How about deep tans without leathery skin? I envy those bronze-skinned Brazilian or Mediterranean beauties with that olive skin. They're born and bred for the beach. I ended up with Irish, English and French roots, so pale freckly skin. It has its charms, it's just not as much at home on the beach as those with olive skin. Mbgdallas 203 Posted July 29, 2015 Sexy as hell. The sharper the lines the better. I think it just reinforces the idea of seeing the "forbidden". Quote Share this post Link to post

Mbgdallas 203 Posted May 23, 2016 Well hubby loves my tan lines... But he also wants to see me on a nude beach There is nothing sexier than tan lines. And so you are on a nude beach. You can still have tan lines when you get there. Quote Share this post Link to post
oc1234 435 Posted May 23, 2016 When you go to a nude beach and have tan lines, you have to be very careful to avoid getting sunburned. Since you have a tan and are used to spending long periods in the sun, it is easy to forget that those areas that have been totally covered are extremely sensitive to sunlight. That's probably the one reason you will NEVER see me at at nude beach. My little Dickie has never seen the light of day and woild fry in about 5 minutes. I can't imagine anything more painful. I can't imagine anything more painful. For this very reason, I made sure to pre-tan before going on vacation at a tropical clothing-optional swinger resort. And it helped! Mr. Happy stayed happy- no sunburned junk to distract from the fun. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
oc1234 435 Posted May 25, 2016 My wife and I have very little problems with sunburned body. For the last 40 plus years we have been nudists and spend at least a few hours most Saturdays and Sundays at our local nudist club. That way we get a gradual tan that does protect us. We also spend a lot of time at least partially nude around the house throughout the year. That seems to somewhat toughen the skin and make it somewhat sunburn resistant. For health reasons, neither of us tries to get a deep tan but we get enough to allow us to swim on sunny summer days without problem. Quote Share this post Link to post
TheRedHalf 81 Posted May 25, 2016 Sounds like a non Ginger problem to me. I am one big tan line! It's all good. Quote Share this post Link to post
AskMeOk 148 Posted May 26, 2016 So, I was curious how the many members of Swingersboard view tan lines. Sexy? Not sexy? Eh? Meh? Are there certain tan lines that you like and others that you don't? Please, do tell! They don't affect me either way, but I've heard a lot of dancers say they work on good tan lines because their customers view the pale areas as "forbidden zones." For some, I guess, the naughty girl visual thing is hot.... Quote Share this post Link to post
