NYFlirts 158 Posted June 26, 2015 OMG, I can't believe people like this are out there that are 1) this deceptive and 2) this stupid! We were browsing one of the LS sites and found a profile of a couple going to an event we're going to in a few weeks. The girl was super young and gorgeous... the guy was considerably older than her, a bit overweight, and pretty goofy looking. Well, we thought we'd check out their reviews / testimonials on the site to see what others thought of them. They had one review / testimonial that raved about how awesome they are, how hot she is, and how amazing the guy is. Our next step was to click the username of the couple giving the review / testimonial... and once we clicked we thought, "Hmm, a single guy profile... HOLY SHIT, THAT'S THE SAME GUY THAT'S IN THE COUPLE?!?!" Yup, sure enough, the guy in the couple has a single-guy profile and gave his couple's account a review / testimonial with that account. Oh and of course, his single-guy account had one review... from his couple account!!! UGH! So, not only is this guy trying to be all sneaky deceptive, he's also a total idiot to think that any person with half a brain is going to fall for this. I guess the only qualifier for people to be on these sites is a credit-card. Have you had any similar experiences with this kind of stuff? 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
SW_PA_Couple 4,026 Posted June 27, 2015 If I recall correctly, one particular Web site, SLS, has a system that discourages such circular reference by making it so that you cannot give a certification to another profile unless your own profile was first certified by a bonafide member. If it is SLS of which you speak, the circular reference had to begin with a real profile that maybe no longer exists. Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted June 27, 2015 We’re finding a lot of guy recently who list themselves as a couple here and single there. And when you talk to them as a couple, the wife is always out of town or otherwise not available this time but will join us on another time..... Quote Share this post Link to post
cplnuswing 4,713 Posted June 27, 2015 What chicouplexx said, this is someone where the "wife" would sadly and suddenly be unavailable when it comes time to meet. Dimwitted people do dimwitted stuff. Quote Share this post Link to post
kikonkrome 844 Posted June 27, 2015 mmeh...it's part of the online world. Businesses do the same, fake reviews people paid to write review, etc. It's pretty hard to evaluate a restaurant, hotel, etc. from just reviews. So it doesn't surprise me that there are fake lifestyle reviews. Bottom line is they work, so caveat emptor, buyer beware. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
tribbles 490 Posted June 27, 2015 I think the guy was at least honest enough you can tell it was him! He didn't make a different couple profile using other pics and lie that way. Quote Share this post Link to post
SwingAcademic 22 Posted June 28, 2015 It's possible that the guy recently became part of a couple, and put up a new profile to reflect that. Then he either forgot to take the single profile down, or had his settings as such that messages come through the single account, or something of this sort. You'd be surprised how many people don't actually know how to operate a computer, but do anyway. Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,068 Posted June 29, 2015 ...there's just no cure for stupid and we don't trust people who are deceptive. Quote Share this post Link to post
VegasLee 1,486 Posted June 29, 2015 Sad as it is this has been going on since the Internet started in all aspects of life and business. You have people putting up reviews of their self. You have clubs that will make "fake" names to make good reviews and also bad reviews of other businesses. I know a couple that has six profiles that have owned a couple of clubs in the past. They made great reviews for their places and would slam other clubs, some that they had never been too. I also see people that go to other clubs that have never been to any other club slamming other clubs on line. Sad that people feel the need to do any of this. Honesty seems to be something that is not so common in life or this Lifestyle these days. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Pretty much the same all over, even outside of adult lifestyles, etc. Used to own a couple restaurants in NYC and basically the same with reviews/reviewer. One person comes in and raves and attests to the best food around. Another comes in and slams you. Are they honest? Are they related to the same cuisine's owner a block or two away?? You have to wonder. Likewise, I have visited places that were raved about and find completely the opposite. Flip side, been to places slammed, and found the opposite. Can't base everything on a review in anything. Quote Share this post Link to post

The x-g/f and myself found the same thing in South Florida numerous times. Quote Share this post Link to post
