sunbuckus 3,567 Posted August 7, 2015 I think this question comes up for every swinger, or even those new to swinging: What do I want to do with my pubic hair? Some leave it au natural. Some shave it all off. Some trim it. Some wax it. Some get laser removal. Others use depilatory cream, like Nair. I thought this would be a great place where men and women can share their pubic hair grooming methods, techniques, and tips on red bumps and shaving rash! I've heard of using diaper cream and Dove deodorant to help the itchies and bumps. Some use hair conditioning while shaving. And there's the technique of shaving only with the growth of the hair, not against it. So, what do you do with your pubic hair? Quote Share this post Link to post
Ebonylehigh 254 Posted August 7, 2015 I use this cream from softsheen Carson called Magic Shave it is really used for bald head and face hair removal. It works great and doesn't irritate me. I waxed for awhile which I loved the results and it got less painful with each wax but it was very expensive for how long it lasted. Occasional I do touch up shaves with a Venus razor. I have this anti-bump serum I got from the wax place and use that. I also use every here and there this chickweed salve cream which takes care of irritation or bumps. So a little bit of everything. Lol 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
oc1234 435 Posted August 7, 2015 My wife and I remove all our pubic hair using a Philips Norelco Bodygroom 7100 (Model No: BG2040/34). It works quite well as long as the battery is charged. If the battery is very low, it can pull a little. We find it much easier to use than a razor and doesn't cause itching or bumps. In addition, when a little stubble appears, it is not as sharp ended as it is when you use a blade razor. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lionheart72 2,190 Posted August 7, 2015 I trim, 'cause I'm a fairly hairy guy. My wife and my FWB leave theirs natural. Frankly, I find shaved pubic areas creepy. It just looks wrong to me. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
SW_PA_Couple 4,024 Posted August 7, 2015 My wife and I are nearly natural. Sorta like Adam and Eve but God had put barbers' sheers in the garden in addition to snakes and apples. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
MrDiscover 802 Posted August 7, 2015 We both shave it all, every other day or so. Just use a 4-bladed razor and cream. Quote Share this post Link to post
kikonkrome 844 Posted August 7, 2015 We both get it waxed!! Yes that includes me the male half. I got a guy on the North side of Chicago that gets in there and gets everything squeaky smooth. No I'm not kidding. He get my buns smooth too. These days I just wax the pubic area, back and shoulders. I have had all my body hair waxed off. This frankly is a hot sweaty job, as I am not really hairy, more like fury. I trim the rest of the hair these days to keep from look like a Chewbacca. For the men that are interested, getting your chest hair waxed off was the most painful experience of my life. It literally made me cry like a baby. This is from a guy that has had a few painful experiences including an expensive divorce!! Still the wife loved me hairless. It also makes for variety when the wife and I have sex. We have winter full hair on times (including my beard), summer no hair times(including my chest hair, ouch). When we play with others we go with the full bikini wax. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,066 Posted August 7, 2015 Mr. Gold trims everything as short as he can make it (his skin and razors do not play well together). Ms. Gold waxes and may eventually try laser (any input from anyone who has had it?) Quote Share this post Link to post
TheRedHalf 81 Posted August 7, 2015 I trim the top and shave the bottom using a razor. My wife prefers to wax and leave a small strip. She says she feels cleaner and we both love it for oral. Quote Share this post Link to post
edoycaro 28 Posted August 7, 2015 She has laser removal and I shave with the Norelco Bodygroom that oc1234 described. It's great because youy can use it under the shower. We really prefer going hairless and we think it's much better to perform oral on a shaved/waxed partner 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,066 Posted August 7, 2015 Edoycaro: How did/does she like the laser removal. The Ms. is considering it but is still looking for opinions one way or the other. Quote Share this post Link to post
Mochacino 188 Posted August 7, 2015 I have tried a bit of everything. like nair when I can't get to the waxer. And I have been known to use hubby's beard trimmer to make designs in it! I went through a whole year and a half getting vajazzled but that got super expensive! Now it just usually nothing at all or very, very, very little! Quote Share this post Link to post
cplnuswing 4,713 Posted August 8, 2015 We both try to keep it gone, although depending on how busy or distracted we are, there may be a bit of a putting green effect going on sometimes For him - everything gone by shaving in the shower with good old razor and shaving gel. Just like shaving in general, it gets easier with practice. For her - she used to shave down low and leave a bit up top, then she went to shaving it all, and then within the last year, after years of liking the concept but being worried about the execution she took the plunge and went to getting waxed (sugared to be technical about it). She loves that and is very happy with it. If she never saw or felt another hair down there as long as she lived, she would be a happy girl. For the red shaving bumps - two hints, and both really work. Hint #1 she read in one of her women's magazine - regular old OTC hydrocortizone cream. Hint #2 that we actually read here one time - tanning bed. We don't regularly go to tanning beds, but sometimes we will just a little if we have a winter or early spring trip to somewhere warmer and sunnier. Tanning bed, red bumps go away. Same trick works with naked sunbathing by the pool, and that we do quite a bit of. Some sun on your freshly shaven pubes and no bumps. Not sure why, but it works. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
sunbuckus 3,567 Posted August 8, 2015 That is super interesting, cplnuswing. I'll have to file that away for the future...go outside naked after shaving. Quote Share this post Link to post

asncpl 729 Posted August 9, 2015 I try to add a little variety so I get waxed during summer and warmer months and do some maintenance with the Norelco Bodygroom. The problem with waxing is I have to let it grow out some before getting waxed again, so the Norelco is good if there is a party and I am not quite ready for another wax. I let it grow out au natural during winter. Mr. A shaves it all using the Norelco Bodygroom. I really like the Norelco too because it's easy to use and no red bumps and no itchiness afterwards. It's not as close as shaving, but for me, it works since I use it in between waxing sessions. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

She loves the laser removal, it works great. The only problem is that the outer lips are difficult to reach and the hair keeps growing, although there are just a few ones and thinner Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted August 9, 2015 I was a natural blond for much of my life, body hair extremely light, none under the arms for example. I always kept my girl well trimmed and then a few years ago, went for a complete shave and have kept her that way. I have found that shaved, I tend to show her a lot more, i.e., go commando. Hubby just does a simple trim, shaves the balls. Quote Share this post Link to post
JAPrufrock 588 Posted August 9, 2015 I think I may be the only woman here who hates how she looks and feels completely clean shaven. It makes me feel like I'm 10 years old, add to that the itchy, horrible red bumps and ingrown hairs, the uncomfortable weirdness of feeling my underwear rubbing against me all day (especially when it starts growing back), and I am not a happy camper. I keep it neatly trimmed, using an electric bikini trimmer. If it would be acceptable on a societal level, I wouldn't shave anything. Ever. But alas, hippies are looked down on as gross, so I keep myself shaved and trimmed, at least in the summer I recently went and got a bikini wax done, just to clean up the edges, and HOLY SHIT. You people do that to the whole area!? All I can say is that you (especially you Kikonkrome) have balls of steel. The upper thighs, meh, I can do that no prob, the closer you got to the snatch, yeah. It's amazing I didn't punch the lady and run out screaming. The worst part is, less then a week later, it started growing back. I thought the idea of waxing was that it lasted longer? I have to admit, though, I did like the look of it "edged" so-to-speak. *sigh* Mr. Prufrock trims his down as short as he can get it. I don't think he's ever tried shaving, and I'm pretty sure he'd laugh us all the way to the divorce lawyer if I asked him to wax (not that I would). I prefer him trimmed down there, but he's a hairy dude everywhere else, and I like him that way. It's very masculine, although, I am kind of sad I can't lick him all over his body without getting a mouthful of hair. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
PandO 103 Posted August 9, 2015 Shave it. All of it! I have for a very long time too. Long before I even became sexually active. I HATE even the smallest amount of hair down there. Quote Share this post Link to post
WeScrewToo 15 Posted August 22, 2015 My wife loves it when I shave my pubic region completely bald. Long as I don't shave my chest or other areas. Of course, I like the way it feels too. And, it's only fair. She shaves for me. Quote Share this post Link to post
GuyInMD79 1,500 Posted August 22, 2015 I (Mr. CoupleInMD79) want to make it as easy as possible for a woman to say "yes!" to performing oral pleasurement on me, including licking my balls! Therefore, I shave the pubic area, including the balls (didn't think that would work at first, but with enough pulling and stretching, it can be done!). Much better than my first sorry attempt at hair removal around the fun bits, which involved Nair or something very much like it, intense scrotal burning, and little dots of blood all over my poor nut-sack. The current genital fashion for the Mrs. is a slight trim everywhere, leaving a full but manicured bush. Her previous choice was a full shave except for a small landing strip. JAPrufrock 588 Posted August 23, 2015 Well, guys I finally did it. In an effort to make our first swinging experience more comfortable for me (I don't want to worry that my playmate secretly thinks he's diving into Chewbacca) I decided to go for the full-on Brazilian wax. My last bikini-line experiment went well; while I wasn't as thrilled with how quickly it grew back in, I didn't get painful itchy red bumps, and when it did grow back in, it wasn't sandpapery. I went in today, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be! Sure, there were a few moments where I thought I might launch myself off of the table, but I managed to NOT scream. There were a few "Whoa's" and one "Holy mother of God's" but all in all I managed to keep my pain to myself (a fact I'm oddly proud of). Such was my first Brazilian. Will it be my last? Nah, I think I'll keep it up for a while, considering it wasn't nearly as painful as I thought, and apparently I'm susceptible to peer pressure 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
couplers 4,654 Posted October 9, 2015 We don't have time to even think about it much, we all just sort of trim it down every so often and we girls razor the edges. None of us is all that hairy, but Lora has a dense curly bush which we all really love. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
