Hitch 37 Posted September 28, 2015 There is a Horny Halloween party at a hotel in our area. It's a costume party... What can one expect at one of these? The event says 38 members are on the guest list so far. Is this a good turn out? A poor one? Should we get a room just in case? Stay even if we don't connect with anyone? ANY advice would be appreciated. Quote Share this post Link to post
SW_PA_Couple 4,024 Posted September 28, 2015 Thirty-eight are fewer than typical for a hotel party. If this sign-up list is the kind that a person need only click on a button on a Web page, expect that about two thirds of the sign-ups will not actually show up. If the sign-up list is controlled by the event organizers, the number of no-shows will be fewer. The experiences that my wife and I have had tell us that reserving a room is a good idea. No need for a designated driver or having a late-night discussion with the highway patrolman who was hiding behind the bushes at the end of the hotel's driveway. Typically, about half of the party-goers will be in costume. A person can expect to dance to the DJ's music, have an opportunity to meet people, to develop new acquaintances, and have about a one-in-ten chance, at best, of going back to your rented room (or anybody else's) for casual, recreational sex. It's not always about sex. Sometimes it's just about going out for a good time. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
funcoupledayton 2,708 Posted September 29, 2015 I would suggest finding out more from the organizers. Is it a hotel takeover (meaning the whole hotel is swingers)? Are single guys allowed or limited? Do they have "hospitality suites" for playing? What is allowed nudity/sex-wise in the ballroom? Takeovers are the best type of hotel party. Second best would be if they have a whole floor blocked with play areas available and at least some nudity allowed in the dance area. Every party is different. Some do cater more to single men, so you should inquire about that if that is or is not what you are looking for. We don't care for hotel parties that are not a complete takeover. It's a buzz-kill to have to put on a coat to use the ladies room because short skirt costumes can't be seen in the lobby, or share the elevator with a grade school soccer team. If you decide to go, it's always more fun to be able to stay over. Even if it is you and your spouse having hotel sex. You can also have a drink or two in your room to start the night and save on bar costs if the event is not byob. Since it's Halloween, I would expect almost everyone would be in costume. That's how Halloween is around here. A unique, sexy costume or coordinating costumes will increase your chances of hooking up. 5 Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,871 Posted September 29, 2015 I advise you to go and stay over. You do not say your level of lifestyle experience, but just go and enjoy. Expect to have fun at the party, meet new people and if something happens with others, enjoy it.We've found the hotel parties we've gone to have been adult pajama parties with a lot of flirting and drinking, but less hooking up than we expected. Mochacino 188 Posted September 29, 2015 Go, dress up, stay over, have fun! I would echo the others advice and get more info from the hosts so you can be better prepared. As for turn out it depends on the size of the hotel. If you are in a motel 6 with 50 rooms then yes it will be packed but if it is a Hyatt with 200 then obviously not so much. Your hosts should be more than happy to fill you in on what the "vibe" of the party is. We go to one every year and there is typically a lot of flirting and dancing and a costume contest (ahem*** 4 time winner over here!) and then a bunch of tipsy people making out in the halls. I think about half of the folks who do show up actually wind up playing with others. The rest of them are there to meet new people and party like rockstars for the weekend. Have fun! robaval 219 Posted September 29, 2015 There is a very organized small group that hosts hotel parties 2 or 3 times a year in our area. We generally don't attend these parties as we don't feel comfortable bumping into neighbors at swing activities and functons. Well, last winter we went to a hotel party over 140 miles from our home areas. The Omaha hotel was very nice and the party had reserved 2 top floors and the hotel ballroom. In public areas, decent clothes and coverups were required and this was enforced by party security retained for the party. Security also keep non party goers off the two top floors where party goers had their rooms. We enjoyed the dance and meeting people, Later we went to our room. Getting off the elevator, we bumped into a couple I know from near my home and his wife was livid, loudy proclaiming they aren't that kind of people. He was sheepish and embarassed. Down they went as we walked off the elevator. It seems that the husband didn't fully explain what the party in Omaha was about. His wife must have thought she was going to a tupperware party. How awful of her husband. When going to a hotel party, really get the details and make sure what you are getting into. Do not suprise your partner... J&L 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Hitch 37 Posted September 29, 2015 That's what I want to know!! What kinds of costumes are worn? For both sexes. I'm not even sure how well this will go for me. For 20 years, I've not looked at other people to gauge their 'fuckability' to me. Turns out, I've only seen a few men out there that I find attractive. I can count on one hand the number of men I've found sexually attractive in the last week. I've been looking...and most of those I've found attractive are not going to find me attractive. I'm not even sure if we go to this party, if anyone will want to be with me. Quote Share this post Link to post

I was never hit on in daily life, but I do quite well swinging. You may also find that with conversation and flirting you find someone desirable who you might not have just passing on the street. As far as costumes, go with what you like. Are you into sci-fi? a particular tv show or movie? Do you look in any way similar to someone famous? Do you have an interesting hobby that could be adapted to a costume? Favorite superhero? Fantasy? One of our favorite costumes and sexiest nights was dressing up as Ghostbusters. JustAskJulie posted a link to the costume here on this very board! Check out PierreSilber.com for ideas, they have tons of costumes. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
celtic239 297 Posted September 30, 2015 We have attended several different types of hotel parties and most of the time we got our own room. We did attend one about two hours away from our home and while we had a pretty good time the drive back was exhausting especially at 2 in the morning. It has been our experience that there are three types of hotel parties (1) the take over usually run by a swingers group where the entire hotel is one big party including the dance floor, (2) the vanilla bar/dance floor but the swingers group has reserved one or two floors for the attendees and (3) the one that has several adjoining rooms in a secluded part of the hotel. Most, if not all of the hotel parties, were for couples only but you would be surprised at how many "married" guys would act like single guys because their wives were either done for the night or really weren't into the party. Hitch 37 Posted September 30, 2015 What about Jessica Rabbit? Or Columbia from Rocky Horror Picture show? I have short red hair and I was Columbia for 2 years, every Friday and Saturday night. I still have my gold sequined hat. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

econobiker 165 Posted October 3, 2015 Now listen closely... That's what I want to know!! What kinds of costumes are worn? For both sexes. I'm not even sure how well this will go for me. I'm not even sure if we go to this party, if anyone will want to be with me. Hitch, the best time to have at starting swinging is Halloween! Those average looking guys you don't find to be attractive daily will be dressed as a swashbuckling booty pirate(econobiker 2009 costume), a hose wielding fireman, a doctor of love(econobiker 2005 costume) sexy glad-he-ate-hers, etc. Just the same suddenly a slightly frumpy, typically harried by multiple teenaged spawn, soccer mom will transform into a sexy street walker, a wickedly devious witch, a naughty nurse, a renaissance harlot, etc. Mix a little alcohol and dim lighting into it and wellllllll.... And for swingers Halloween event you can do costumes NEVER ever allowed anywhere else: one time Red was a pregnant nun. And thennnnnnn... One year I went as a construction worker (not my real trade- had a dildo and lube in my tool belt) and Red went as my "measuring tool" with a cloth tape measure on her mini skirt sides, a small tape measure clipped to her belt, a flannel shirt with sleeves cut off with a small zip lock bag of her trimmed-off and very red pubic hair pinned to her shirt pocket, and wearing her construction helmet labeled "RCH" in big letters. 100% of the women didn't understand at all, 60% of the men didn't get her costume at first, but the 40% who did (and had some construction/carpentry background), holy shit, one guy did a true spit-take near choking on his drink as he spit it on the kitchen floor. He said that he never expected to see a woman understand, much less embrace a phrase that includes the word "cunt". Yup, that's right, "cunt" Explanation of RCH: Construction measurements for fine measurements below what a tape measure has on it: CH- cunt hair, "Move the board a CH to the right to get it lined up." RCH- red cunt hair, much smaller than a CH "No, now you moved the board too far to the right. Scoot it an RCH back to the left to line it back up." Yeah, you can see why I love Red a whole damn bunch. Hitch, let your hair down a little and have fun with the costume. A sexy Columbia is a PERFECT! Costume for a swing party! (granted I liked the older woman Magenta more). Andddd the singular fact that you actually DID the RHPS means you're already bent open enough for a swingers hotel party, channel that feeling, "Don't dream it, be it." 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
