sprinklez69 23 Posted December 23, 2015 Started getting into bondage and she likes being a sub at times. We have done a mfm with ropes and was fun. The rope play does not seem to be our thing. We like the idea of restraining without the hours it takes to use a rope. Doing an amazon or google search for bondage restraints brings up way to many products. Wanted to know what people have found that will actually hold her in place and not cause any pain. Something reliable, well made, strong Velcro, red would be preferred, and can be bought on a safe website. Quote Share this post Link to post
EastInWest 1,524 Posted December 23, 2015 We have a small collection of Sportsheets products, wrist/ankle/thigh cuffs. They're simple designs. Velcro, padded, with D-rings. If she was committed to escaping, she could find a way, but she isn't. Last time I got them out, it was for ice torture. They held up well. There are other items like a harness that goes over the doorframe and a spreader bar, etc. https://sportsheets.com/product-category/restraint/ I see there's also an "Edge" product line that looks like it has buckles. https://sportsheets.com/product-category/edge-products/ They also have this, which I hadn't seen before, and is interesting since Mrs. EastInWest tends to collapse when she gets overstimulated. https://sportsheets.com/product/i-like-it-doggie-style-strap-black/ Quote Share this post Link to post
angelkin 1,326 Posted December 23, 2015 We have the sportsheets under the bed system and highly recommend it. It has detachable wrist and ankle cuffs that are great to use for other applications. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
asncpl 729 Posted December 23, 2015 I prefer leather because of the comfort factor and no marks. Ropes tend to give me rope burn and it's tough to hide marks on the wrists. We use leather straps with buckles. Quote Share this post Link to post

I have seen the sportsheets on a couple areas. Are the restraints Velcro or buckle? do they restrain well and not painful? Quote Share this post Link to post
EastInWest 1,524 Posted December 23, 2015 I have seen the sportsheets on a couple areas. Are the restraints Velcro or buckle? do they restrain well and not painful? The ones pictured with the under the bed kit are like the ones we have. Neoprene rubber with velcro. They're sturdy and comfortable, but not exactly security-grade if that's the kind of thing you're going for. A committed submissive could rip them free. Quote Share this post Link to post
angelkin 1,326 Posted December 23, 2015 I think our cuffs that came with the sportsheets are a padded canvas fabric and very comfortable. They have overlapping Velcro closures but neither of us have ever tried to get out of them, but are confident with some effort we could slip our hands out or loosen the Velcro enough. WesternSwing 504 Posted December 24, 2015 We own many sets of restraints, both leather and nylon strap with Velcro. As others have mentioned, Sportsheets makes some quality nylon strap/Velcro style cuffs for wrists, thighs and ankles that are neoprene-lined for comfort and nickel-free hardware (for those with metal allergies) as well as spreader bars, etc. at reasonable cost. https://sportsheets.com/product-category/bondage/ Also, check-out Stockroom.com https://www.stockroom.com/bdsm-gear/bondage-restraints.html where you'll find many leather restraints. From personal experience I can tell you that cost equals quality. I've had cheap leather restraints and my bottom pulled them apart during play. Quote Share this post Link to post
TwoFunTexans 103 Posted December 31, 2015 We've got leather wrist and ankle restraints from church of sinvention out of Canada. They are a little more costly but they are real high quality. They're comfortable and unescapable. I highly recommend them. Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted December 31, 2015 Go to Amazon, Restraint Bondage Tape. Sticks to itself but not to skin or other things. Works well, painless. Travels well, too. Quote Share this post Link to post
Freaky.Fiona 74 Posted July 9, 2018 I'm not too much into BDSM, but have just used simple straps and belts, also ball gags. Again, not too deep into this, but some times; usually with another woman. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jands87 24 Posted February 25, 2019 I know this is an old post, but in case anybody has found their way here by searching for restraints, I figured I would drop a few ideas. The under the bed and cheaper restraints are a good starting point, but if the person being restrained is a little stronger, then you are probably looking for something a little more heavy duty, any tention on the cheap leather cuffs, tends to tear the leather or bend the D ring. The premium extreme restraints branded cuffs are pretty good, they are strong, have lasted us a few years, with very minimal signs of wear and tear and in terms of price, they are mid-low range. We out grew these and wanted something a little special and figured we would go custom made. Searching around we found a set on etsy by a man named Ber from the store BearLeatherBondage. They are extremely well hand made, and they come in a complete set for those out there like us that like everything to match. Hope this helps someone Jands 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
couplers 4,647 Posted February 28, 2019 I'm not too much into BDSM, but have just used simple straps and belts, also ball gags. Again, not too deep into this, but some times; usually with another woman. Much the same here. I find this thread interesting. We in our poly family don't do any S&M stuff, even light, except Lora and I, and only when we are alone from the others (the guys and Clair find it disturbing). Thus far we have only used verbally abuse, wrestled, slapped/spanked one another, pulled hair, and peed on each other in the shower, but the idea of tying her up or Lora tying me up is exciting. I need to look into these products. Quote Share this post Link to post
Emt 91 Posted March 1, 2019 For the cuffs themselves we use SportSheets. However, for the rope, we go to Lowes and get a hank of really soft rope by the yard off the spool. Seal the ends and you just saved yourself a bunch vs. these "systems/kits". If you're really hellbent on webbing instead of rope, get it (and all the buckles/hardware) from Strapworks. That's where I ordered a lot of supplies from to build my swing. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

That's where I ordered a lot of supplies from to build my swing. Strapworks strapping (made to order)with quick release buckles and weightlifting belts are the main components in the swing I built. Ab straps are used for foot/ calf supports, a dip belt for head rest. Porch swing springs and carabiners are used to attach to eye bolts. It's super strong and less expensive than a store bought swing. Wrist and ankle cuffs with D rings (also for weight lifting) are used for restraints. Spreader bars are easy to make. Rope, pulleys, and all the buckles and clips are at Lowes - stainless steel. And, if you disassemble the gear, it looks like a pile of weight lifting stuff. Quote Share this post Link to post

I used closed cell foam camp padding from wal-mart where I'm guessing you used the weight lifting belts. It's super cushioning and easy to wipe off/clean. I still need to add a head rest to ours. But outside of that it's awesome. Not sure if you used the Golds chin-up bar but that's what makes ours portable. Quote Share this post Link to post
Fitlakecouple 451 Posted March 2, 2019 We have open beams in our home. I screwed eye bolts right into one of the beams. We use them for TRX training so that's the "true" cover story for why we have eye bolts... More than one friend has smirked and called bullshit on us. They know us! Quote Share this post Link to post

We use them for TRX training so that's the "true" cover story for why we have eye bolts... More than one friend has smirked and called bullshit on us. They know us! We have regular family and guests in our home but we wanted to have some eye bolts in the ceiling. So we got creative and mounted some heavy timber frames on the trusses in the ceiling above out bed and had a heavy 1/2" coupler nut welded to a plate and screwed to the timber from the top, then mounted a removable smoke detector over the top. When we want fun, we take the smoke detector down and screw in a 1/2" eye bolt, it could probably handle 200-300 lbs. Fun ends, eye bolt comes down, and smoke detector goes back up - completely hidden. Quote Share this post Link to post
Emt 91 Posted March 3, 2019 I'm tellin ya....get a Gold's Chin-up Bar at Walmart for ~$20. Nothing to drill, weld, mount, hide, etc. Just lift it out of the doorway when you're done. Quote Share this post Link to post
