kikonkrome 844 Posted February 27, 2016 How do you think it effects the atmosphere? I feel every night has a bit of a different energy. Some evenings are smooth, some evenings are flirty aggressive, some are nights are just quiet and chat. We do not often go to clubs or parties that are not couples only. However, the few times we have been out on nights that allow single males, I have noticed a distinct change in energy, and I was wondering if it was me or if others felt it too. BTW I have also noticed a distinct energy change when there are lot of lesbian couples at the club too. Any thoughts? Quote Share this post Link to post
shy_couple 460 Posted February 28, 2016 We gave up on clubs parties that permitted single men a couple of years ago because of what you are describing. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Greg & Sheryl 369 Posted February 28, 2016 In our experience, every swing event has a unique mood to it, even when the people attending those events are largely the same. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted March 1, 2016 We enjoy the presence of single men at our couples club but feel that they should advertise it as so. Certainly there are some who go to a couples only club expecting only couples. Our’s tends to sneak in some local politicians and other “ringers” even on night that are suppose to be no single men. AskMeOk 148 Posted March 1, 2016 An overabundance of any group (demographic, sexual persuasion, fetish, gender, [insert your own]) tends to drag the "party" towards a special interest group. For some, that will be awesome, for some it will be alienating. The host, hostess, promoter, whatever, needs to be aware of group dynamics and tailor the mix towards the intended goal. Not everybody is going to be happy. Period. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
BuiltForSin 66 Posted March 1, 2016 At clubs it has been fine to have the singles there. The couples we are looking for and the couples that are looking for us don't have a lot of overlap with singles anyway - and my wife is an exhibitionist so some audience only adds to the experience. The ratios were kept fairly low even on nights that singles were allowed in where we went. We have not had the best luck with singles at parties. We had issues with cock blocking, trying to jump into our "pile" of two couples and because I have no better word for it "tagging" where a single introduces you to another single and then tells us that because he introduced us its only fair that we include him with any future dealings with her even though we would have met her five minutes later on our own. This is also the reason we never "date" FWB couples. So we do prefer couples only for parties and actively avoid those parties with singles. Clubs and meets we are fine either way. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

That seems relatively common regardless of where you go. We have not had the best luck with singles at parties. Tagging...you know that's one of those things I could never quite put my finger on...also the 'cock blocking' part. I have definitely run into that as well. Which I found really strange coming in a swing club. Yes I would say being in a club, not a private party. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
