cplnuswing 4,713 Posted March 1, 2016 Have you ever worn out a sex toy? Not one that was shoddily made novelty to start with and it broke the second time you used it, but a good one and you just wore the thing out. The Hitachi is the undisputed favorite in our house, and it's a trooper and has seen steady use for years now and is still going strong, but before that it was another "personal massager", a Conair I think. She just slap wore that thing out. It took a few years, but by the end it was making all sorts of unearthly noises, would rattle when you shook it, and the head was wobbly. So tell us your stories, what sex toys have you had that served you well until they just couldn't take it anymore, and how did they finally die, with a whimper or a bang? 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
love2dp 52 Posted March 1, 2016 My girl and I have killed vibrators. Its more due to cheap manufacturing. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
asncpl 729 Posted March 1, 2016 I killed a Hitachi magic wand before. First, I dropped it and I could hear some loose plastic bits rattling inside, but that didn't kill it and it kept on vibrating. Then the outlet plug started to turn brown due to prolonged usage and died. Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted March 1, 2016 Hubby got me The Rabbit, kind of a two pronged vibrator that had several actions, twists, vibrates, etc. Lasted for maybe 3 years. My big, commercial vibrator finally wore out at the cord after 12 or so years, stretching it too much I guess, Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,066 Posted March 1, 2016 I actually misread this at first and read 'worn a sex toy out' (as in public). Worn one out, no. Had Ms. Gold wear one out (in public), yes. A Lelo Lyla 2 with me having the remote control (and later traded controls with the other couple we see). Quote Share this post Link to post

Also those vibrating cock rings, I would say they are in the two to four year range. Quote Share this post Link to post

windsor4fun2 130 Posted March 3, 2016 We have had a few cheap vibrators that died after a while. Last year I purchased a Magic wand for my wife. she loved it but on the 3rd or 4th use there was a sudden bright flash and spark then a burnt electrical smell. considering where it was a the time it was a little disconcerting to my wife. Fortunately it was replaced under warranty and the new one has been buzzing along just find. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
ZoDee 81 Posted March 3, 2016 MrsZ was wearing out rabbits at a great rate of knots, worn out gears & motor nolonger driving it. All brand named & reasonably mid priced. We were getting 3 to 6 months at best. Totally frustrating after 4 in around 18 months. On a visit to a large sex store, the nice assistant ask if she could help & MrsZ, in her true upfront form spat out the problem with the attrition rates with rabbits. She showed us a common brand thrusting rabbit & commented these are difficult to kill. Track record has been good so far, just now on the 3rd one in almost 10 years. Cheers But yes, they are still wearing out. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
angelkin 1,326 Posted March 4, 2016 I wore out my favorite - bought at a Pure Romance party. It was delightful as it would bend at more than a 90 degree angle to hit just the right spot. The variable speed was awesome. I've kept it, but wish I could replace the vibrator part. Quote Share this post Link to post
ZoDee 81 Posted March 5, 2016 Should add we've always received the advice, "Don't use Alkaline Batteries". Think that's just a cop out by manufacturers to help prolong the life of some below par products. Seems most Rabbit vibes quickly become pretty half hearted on regular heavy duty batteries. The favourites we've found, the ones that survive are always fed a diet of either Energisers or Eneloop rechargeables & perform like troupers. Single cell small vibes, fed a strict diet of lithium cells & totally rock. Cheers Quote Share this post Link to post
M1F2KTJ 473 Posted March 6, 2016 We wore out many battery vibrators but the Hitachi Magic Wand has never failed and is still going strong. Using it with a dildo is my wife's favorite! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Twilighttap 168 Posted October 18, 2016 Wear the ears off of rabbits. Have tried different brands, but the ears go first. Small expense for all that fun. Quote Share this post Link to post
Fitlakecouple 451 Posted December 1, 2017 We are on Magic Wand #2. She is a big fan. Quote Share this post Link to post
Shore2Please 612 Posted December 1, 2017 I think we need to buy a magic wand. A story I never told anyone and I mean no one. I found my mothers toy while looking for eyebrow tweezers. I knew about toys. Never had one for myself. Couldn’t imagine my parents having one. Do parents have sex I thought at the time. Home alone I had my first toy and it broke. I washed it and returned it to her drawer. I checked a few weeks later she had a new one. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Sereno & Rider 26 Posted December 1, 2017 We have several that do different things that we use depending on the mood. One favorite is a very soft velvet cloth that we very lightly drag over the skin during foreplay. Using a blindfold on Rider doing this really starts her motor not knowing where I'm going to tickle her. We did just wear out one toy after 2 years but have a replacement ordered. Right now; after our week of playing at Hedo and a lot more at home, our favorite toys are a little bruised and require a little rest/repair time. Her pussy and my cock. Chris&Suzanne 204 Posted December 1, 2017 We had a vibrator with a cord which eventually got twisted and shorted out. Very scarey. There is a rechargeable cordless Magic Wand, beware of fakes. It is about $150.00. Works great Quote Share this post Link to post
