Noisy play in hotels

Just curious--am I the only swinger whose enjoyment of hotel playdates is seriously hampered by worry about making too much noise? I can't fully relax if I have to keep a damper on the sounds I'd naturally make. I much prefer playing in clubs for that reason, although I like the intimacy (and relative cleanliness!) of a hotel room. (I guess hotel takeovers are the best of both worlds!)

What constitutes too much noise? You paid for the room and unless you plan of doing a full volume soundtrack to bad porn, who cares? A lot depends on the choice of venue. Most upscale hotel rooms are fairly soundproof,a rundown notell-motel not so much. You DO generally get what you pay for.

So we have one vote for chutzpah. :lol:We are generally at major chain hotels, where there might be a family with little kids next door. While I believe in sex-positive parenting, I don't want to force any 2AM parental explanations on anyone else--and I would be embarrassed if someone called the front desk because of the noise.

 

I realize others may not care, which is why I asked whether anyone else did.

Much like our pool at home, what we do in the privacy of OUR space (and that would include a hotel room) is no one else business or concern. Unless your behavior is totally outrageous such as screeching "fuck me,Fuck me, FUCK ME" at a decibel level of a B-52 rolling towards take off, we wouldn't worry about it.

We go full volume in hotel rooms and have never had an issue. As we have kids it is one of the environments we she can really let go.

 

They are fairly sound proof. Think about it, how many people are fucking or doing god knows what in a hotel room and how much do you hear?

 

Maybe an occasional muffled sound. but reality is not much.

Hmm. My experience has been different. I have been woken by passionate couples in adjoining hotel rooms on a number of occasions, and generally, as I said, in major chain hotels. And these couples did not sound like they were having nearly as much fun as I sometimes do. :-) Weird that others don't find that sound carries much in hotel rooms. I can usually follow the emotional gist of a conversation in the next room, even.

To get all technical it really depends on the hotel construction as to how much the sound travels. Poured concrete walls -not so much - versus wood framed hotels buildings. A connecting doorway also allows for more sound transmission even though its got two doors. Some folks crank up the tv's but others don't want to bang to "Channel 5 News You Can Count On". Some hotel tv's have music channels otherwise the clock radio usually don't have enough volume.
