Air mattresses for sex?

We're about to host our first house party, we have one bed, then we were thinking of having an air mattress in the basement for a second private play area and 2 air mattresses in the living room for a larger group play. But dh and I can't agree on whether air mattresses are any good for sex or whether we should put something else down for people to fuck on then save the air mattresses for when people want to sleep?

 

So, sex on an air mattress, yay or nay?

I can't speak for anybody else but we've found that air mattresses are not good for sex. I (male half) always sink down, especially doggy and it just doesn't work. Maybe some kind of roll up gym mat would work but we've never tried it. We've used air mattresses at parties that we hosted but usually people just look for an open spot on the bed.

When I host a party we leave the choice to the occupants and participants. They are a bit more bounce to the ounce, no one complains. Then like you use the air mattresses for sleeping.

Not all air mattresses are created equal. If you haven't tested them yourself for suitability, you be taking a chance. Futons and convertable sofas are better bets.

I know the Liberator makes angled "pillows." Do they make mats for sex? Does anyone else? I agree that air mattresses can inhibit traction. You sink into them.

They do. My problem with Liberator is they are very proud of their products. For instance, this one has a sale price of $199.00

Thanks everyone. We put the air mattress up last night to see what it was like and it is tall and very firm. I think it will work but I have a closet full of blankets that I will have out for people to use if they prefer (I finally have a use for all the quilts my mother in law makes)

Yes! Very thoughtful. Do it! Mattresses would be my preference. Cover those air mattresses with comfortable blankets!

We have the liberator ramps and the mat. I highly recommend both but the mat works great for what you're needing. We seperate room swap when our friends come over and usually one of us takes the mat and ramp into the living room. I'd say the mat is comfortable enough to sleep on if you had to and works great as intended.
