buckeyeguy 15 Posted December 20, 2016 Interesting comment we heard the other day, and we will be in this situation NYE A friend was complaining about sporting events being on TV at a local club, said it killed the vibe. The sound was not even up and it was only in one area. Well NYE we are going to a house party with about 15 couples. We are life long Buckeye fans and this is the night of the semi final playoff game. The host said the game would be on TV. Game should be over by 1030 or so allowing plenty of time to celebrate the New Year with sexy fun. Does a sporting event on TV kill that sexy party vibe? Should we just remove ourselves from the guest list, as well, quite frankly we will want to see the game first and still have fun later? Sorry if this a dumb question for this forum, but we too have seen sports on at clubs as well and never thought it was a big deal until we heard people complaining recently. cplnuswing 4,713 Posted December 20, 2016 Not a dumb question at all. We've received party announcements from several different off-premise groups that have us on their mailing list that will say they will have a tv set up for those who want to watch the game, so it's not uncommon. I don't see a problem with it at all. If they turned the event room into a sports bar with a tv every 10 feet along the walls, then that would be a different story, but to set one up in a corner somewhere so those interested can gather around and watch or even just check in on the score occasionally, it's just another form of socializing and that's kind of what you are there for. Like you say, game is going to be over before it really gets to the prime part of the swinging evening anyways. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
two4youinswva 3,069 Posted December 20, 2016 I believe we have had this question before, so the question is not dumb and helpful to more than one member. There are certain areas of the country where a large percentage of the population takes college football very seriously. You're in one of them. Alabama is one of them, and there are plenty of others as well. One TV available is a croumulent solution. It is unobtrusive, gives the big fans a chance to check out the game, and keeps the from checking their phones for scores every five minutes. Its also a great way to network with potential new friends. Enjoy the night! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
kikonkrome 845 Posted December 20, 2016 It's pretty common to see sports events on at house parties/clubs, etc. When the Cubs were on here in Chicago absolutely nothing was happening until those games were over. I remember some Black Hawks games that delayed festivities as well. Quote Share this post Link to post
padoc 1,704 Posted December 21, 2016 Given the choice of playing with live boobs or watching football, most men would choose boobs. I don't see a game on the tv as an issue at either a party or a club. As a Penn State graduate, I'd really like to attend a swingers party where the women were all wearing blue & white jerseys and ONLY the jerseys as the bowl game played on a tv. I'm sure Mrs Doc and I would score regardless of how the Lions did. Quote Share this post Link to post
pilote 20 Posted March 9, 2017 ...I remember being at a house party once and the US Gold Cup Championship Soccer game was on...I was watching it in a bedroom while a couple came in and started fucking on the bed...a mild distraction LOLOLOL...so yeah, I chose sports over live boobs for those few hours...
