kikonkrome 844 Posted February 3, 2017 So we met a couple online and they have invited us to a regular house party in one of the remote area's of Chicagoland. 'Member when Jake and Elwood Blues played Bob's Country Bunker...like next door. So we have never met this couple in real life. It's kinda a haul. So we are having reservations about going. On the opposite hand we have never been to a swingers house party and want to check it out! I know, nobody likes us. We do get invitations like this online from time to time. I was wondering what others experiences have been like? Positive, negative...neutral? Quote Share this post Link to post
Sexykitty6364 38 Posted February 3, 2017 We've been to several house parties but we have always known at least one couple there. I would hesitate going, but that's just me. I suppose the worst that could happen would be you aren't attracted to anyone, things get way out of line, or you are just too uncomfortable to do anything...and you leave. Is there anyway you can meet the one couple you've been chatting with in person? Or even via Skype? Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,068 Posted February 3, 2017 'Member when Jake and Elwood Blues played Bob's Country Bunker...like next door. Only you can make this decision, but just so you know: If you go, you will hear banjo music as you get out of your can and head towards the single wide where you find that you have more teeth than everyone else there...total. Of course if you don't go, it will be the house party that others tell stories about being at...like Woodstock or Eyes Wide Shut. Let us know what you decide to do. BTW, you are invited to a house party at our place any time you are in Nor Cal. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
N&G 207 Posted February 3, 2017 Although we love house parties I would have concerns about going based on an invitation from someone that you don't know in an area that you might not be comfortable going to. It's possible that you could go there and find that it's just Jake and Elwood and that you are the only couple that showed up. Most house parties are word of mouth and you get invited by a couple that you have actually played with and know the party hosts. If a party doesn't work out don't get discouraged, there will be others. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Sexykitty6364 38 Posted February 3, 2017 Have you been to Couples Playhouse out in Aurora? It's a club...at a house. It's just like a house party with DJ and swimming pool and play rooms. If you haven't been, check it out. You can even stay the night, if need be. Quote Share this post Link to post

It kinda has a real odor to it, so not sure when you were last there? Quote Share this post Link to post
DjRayder 43 Posted February 3, 2017 I've been to a hotel party and a house party which I had a great time but I guess due to my personality I have a great time anywhere. But a friend went to one and had a bad experience in a remote location. So, if you do plan on going let someone know that your good friends with where you are headed. Also if they have any contact info on any of the other couples just to see what their experience was like. Just my two cents man good luck and would like to hear any updates. Best of luck! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
GuyInMD79 1,500 Posted February 4, 2017 I've been to a number of house parties- good, bad, and ugly. The ugliest one was a party we were invited to as kind of a last-minute thing. We did know another couple, and went to the party with them. The house was dark, lots of weed wafting around, and the people did not seem friendly at all. No one really talked to us, and the host did not introduce us to anyone. And the basement play area smelled like cat piss. Oh, and the kicker was that we had to pay to get in! We stayed for about a half hour, then we beat it out of there! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
padoc 1,704 Posted February 4, 2017 The beauty of the internet is that you can now use the map sites to get an overview of the house, neighborhood, street level and possible escape routes. Wish we had access to that kind of thing a decade ago at our 1st house party in Pa. The old joke about Pennsylvania describing it as Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh in the west and Alabama in between was clearly demonstrated to us then! We were new to this hobby and nearly took up bowling instead as a result of that 1st experience! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Sophia&David 29 Posted February 4, 2017 Eew. I've been to college parties that were less sketchy than that! Is there a subsection of people that get off on pure filth? Maybe that was the draw.... Quote Share this post Link to post
GuyInMD79 1,500 Posted February 4, 2017 I really, really do not know. As it happens, this party was located in the Alabama section of PA! Quote Share this post Link to post
padoc 1,704 Posted February 5, 2017 I don't know if filth is the driving force and it is certainly not limited to the middle of Pennsylvania. Here in Florida, we have stumbled across similar situations but it's easier here since we know that if that the party house used to have wheels, we are definitely NOT interested in attending. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
sassysassy 16 Posted February 5, 2017 Every one is talking about a swinger party. Me and my man are new to the swinging thing. ..we want to try it out what's it like?? Anyone Quote Share this post Link to post
DjRayder 43 Posted February 5, 2017 @sassysassy on the main board there are plenty of links to people new to the lifestyle. Clubs, private parties and etiquette. If you have any other type of question please do a new post. Good luck. Quote Share this post Link to post

Guest Posted February 5, 2017 We met a couple at Desires, they were from the Chicago area. They told us they hosted house parties. We hit it off there and traded information and after we returned home, got an invitation to an house party. That was our first. What we have learned is that if the house party is for the most part, a formed group that does this regularly, you are, in essence, new meat. That first party is the time that you get to “meet” everyone and they appropriately “welcome” you. You keep that status for only one or two parties, then you are more of a regular and all is well. Just be prepared for that first party with the group, you may not be just another guest, but more of the star of the party. Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,901 Posted February 5, 2017 A nice house party with carefully selected couples can be a great experience. Quote Share this post Link to post
funcoupledayton 2,708 Posted February 8, 2017 In this case I would not go. We have been to a couple house parties where the hosts invite people they don't know. One was ok, a lot of single guys and couples much older and larger than us. Another was bad news, as in, "Lets get out of here before the cops show up." Now we only go to parties that are private and we know the hosts. Have you considered hosting a house party or hotel suite party yourself? That might be a good way to get invitations to other people's parties. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
