WSB421 91 Posted March 2, 2017 MWC 40's planning our first clothing optional experience once the weather warms up a bit and were wondering if there are places in the Northwest people would recommend. We're still talking about what aspects of the LS we might be interested in but feel like it is time to at least experience social nudity for the first time. In the interest of going slow and conquering fear one step at a time, we were thinking it'd be best to go to a nudist resort that didn't allow public sexual activity first. That way we can learn to be comfortable in front of others naked before we have to consider whether or not they are interested in us sexually or us them. Maybe nudists size each other up that way more than they might like to admit, we're not sure how you could avoid it really. Being new to the notion, it's hard to separate nudity and sexual activity in my mind even though I know that is required for nudists. We are leaning toward a resort of some type rather than hot springs or someplace that does not control who comes and goes. Hoping to have a pleasant, freeing experience away from any potential creeps as I don't want my wife to be put off by a bad first experience. I suppose you can't really dictate what the experience will actually be, just be open-minded to whatever happens or whatever feelings it brings up? Neither of us have ever been nude in public, we're both excited to experience it although my wife has a little more fear about it than me. Any advice to calm her nerves? oncewere 84 Posted March 2, 2017 You didn't say where in the Northwest you live. Travel time might be a factor. The best family friendly nudist resort in the northwest is Sun Meadows in North Idaho, but all the parks are great. Just go to AANR.com and click on places to go then club locator and you'll find them all. don't worry too much about being nude in public. Most people there are welcoming and helpful. Most important, a family friendly club is the opposite of threatening. It should take you about twenty minutes max to get used to it. Visiting a nudist park or resort can be a great experience, quite eye opening. I have no idea how to find swinger friendly nudist resorts in the NW. NASCA.com wasn't much help. I'm sure other SB members will be helpful. Be sure to post your experience when you do go. Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,068 Posted March 3, 2017 In Northern CA. there's Laguna Del Sol near us in Sacramento. It's where we first went. Pretty nice place and it is considered a resort (that on Saturday nights is L/S friendly, or so we've heard). Then there's also our back yard...and front yard, and side yard It's great having acreage and good fences. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Afraid we live too far to take you up on it though as we're in the Portland area and what if you guys weren't into us or a potentially more interesting problem, what if we were all too into each other? I suppose possibilities are what this is all about. We are looking at a couple of co-ed clothing optional spas in Portland. Anyone have any experience with any of them? We may also go to a couples night at Club Privita at some point after researching more. Hoping to be somewhere clothing optional for the first time in less than two weeks! afterwork 89 Posted March 14, 2017 Our pathway into the LS came from going to a nationally accredited nudist resort in Castro Valley, California. We didn't go there expecting to get laid. Far from that, Mrs Afterwork is well known to have said, "a nudist camp, the next thing you will want to do is group sex!" Mr Afterwork is also well known to have said, "not at all, it is just a place to camp and they control who comes in there unlike the creepy state park campsites." Certainly the national associations promote a family friendly place and yet it has a population that is made up of a far more couples than families. We were young and stupid...and certainly naive. We thought how neat it was that so many of the folks tended to group their tents together way up in their secluded campsite. How community of them and how friendly. Really looking out for each other. We took to the nudism like ducks to water. Never worried about getting an erection, uh well until we met a couple that was out to seduce us. That is a whole story of a ten month effort on their part to finally bust our cherries. But later we discovered that several couples (once they gain confidence in you) can and do suggest after hours partying that certainly becomes full swap. Another thing, the nudists cannot be nude all the time at the resorts. Weather, time constraints, periods, work effort, etc, etc, means that a lot of investment to travel to the resorts can end up not having the same result. However most of the nudists that you meet will either invite you to their house or you ask them to yours. We have attended several nudists "house parties" with most of them ending up as LS parties as the crowd thins. We mentioned one other way to enjoy nudism without going to a nudist resort. Make a private place at your home and invite friends over. Be quirky, and post a sign. NO TEXTILES ALLOWED IN HOT TUB. Hey, if they want to enjoy the tub, they will go nude. Statistically, once they go nude they either freak out and scream out of there or they just get relaxed and wonder why they every wore a suit in a hot tub. The next step is to "please excuse and physical reactions by the guys (generally offered by the hostess) sporting erections while enjoying the tub....they can't help it anymore that the ladies have hard nipples. Sorry guys, if we ladies get wet, you just won't be able to tell, ha ha. The tub is just so relaxing...." We have seen this lead to otherwise calm, stated folks, start making out right in front of you. That would be your clue to do likewise. Sometimes that leads to soft swap, maybe a little exhibitionism of oral sex switching back and forth from your guests changing positions to enjoy each other; and then sometimes a spontaneous swap of trading with the hosting couple. Hey, the nudist resorts will have folks that want to swing. Still takes an investment to find out who. Then you have to be really careful that you are snagging onto an STD...use safe sex. We have been at this sense the 70's and have found that we like to know more about the folks before we jump their bones. We sort of like the use of our swimming pool or hot tub to use as a hurdle to see just "how relaxed a couple might be" to be involved in a sexually tone situation. Nudity, after all, in a private environment implies a sexuality...does it not? (no answer required, just nod your head yes). Real surprise for us was when a neighbor and his wife watched us receive a hot tub for our back yard. They were immediately extending their own self invitations to come enjoy the hot tub. We said no problem, just we don't allow textiles in the tub. They didn't even look at each other and just replied, "Best way." They were there for the first use of the tub and before the night was over we had fucked each other in so many configurations. Amazing. They had been our neighbors for years and we had no idea that they wanted to swing. They did later admit, that they thought we might be swingers as they had seen our really close friends come over for all nighters several times a month. Good luck with your search....but consider making your own intimate resort. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

luv2was 117 Posted November 29, 2018 Jackson Wellsprings, just North of Ashland OR... is clothing optional (CO) in the evenings. Check the website for the schedule. https://www.jacksonwellsprings.com/ Note that their website clearly states "Sexual behavior is prohibited." ... but I am fairly sure there are some LS folks who frequent that facility. Try some web groups, such as: NW Naturist https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/NWnaturist/info ... try also: https://www.google.com/search?q=nw+naturist+usa ... which includes a number of resource sites. A bit NE of Eugene OR is: The Willamettans https://willamettans.wildapricot.org/ ... which is a "Family Nudist Resort" (established more for "nude recreation")... so not a LS resort. Oregon has a number of Nude / Naturist / Nudist friendly sites (including Hot Springs & Mud Baths / Springs, as well as Beaches) that are unregulated (so maybe a bit risky), you just have to search them out. The State of Washington & California are very similar. There are some very organized "Naturist" webs: AANR https://www.aanr.com/ TNS https://naturistsociety.com/ ... which will lead to lists of clubs. Just be sure you are well informed what the rules are (wherever you go). Most dedicated "Naturist" facilities look poorly on any sexual activity (that can be seen). East of Ashland OR is a Rock Quarry / swimming hole that is known for "nude camping", but it is a bit uncontrolled, so rather risky. http://ashlandtrails.com/activities/rock-quarry/ ... a general search: https://www.google.com/search?q=Ashland+OR+quarry+swim+Naked There are Lifestyle Friendly "Nude Resort" type places... just none that I know of in the PNW. For pure Swinger type facilities, see: https://www.swinglifestyle.com/swingers/clubs/ ... I'm just not sure if there are many outdoor LS resorts in the PNW. I realize this is an old thread, but just in case... (an update). 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
