I made this aside in another post.

"Am I the only woman that actually likes the word "cunt" for both the genitalia and as slang for a woman? It sounds so strong."

How do you feel about it?

Depends on context:

She is a cunt -- extremely offensive and entirely out of order.

Locker room joke -- offensive.

Description of a coworker who has pissed you off -- very offensive and just wrong.

While in the midst of the sex act, "bang my cunt; give it to me harder" -- entirely within context.

I agree, it's all about the context. For me, even during sex, I think it has to be the right circumstance, meaning over and above normal turned on and the sex is hot and hard. Like all words that are powerful, they have their place, but the more powerful they are, the fewer those places are.

I believe my wife and I would both agree with the consensus that context matters 100%.

I have one friend (a girl) who uses the word cunt during sex. It is really dirty and hot. Since I know she's good with it, I will say it when I'm with her. Otherwise, I don't b/c I'm aware that many people find it super offensive.

It's hot in the right circumstances.

From all the words why is this so offensive? I never hear it used as a body part. I hear it used as a synonym for bitch. I find it funny that even there I hear she's such a see you next Tursday or C U next Tuesday. If you call someone a pussy it's more like they are afraid to do something but if you call a woman a Cunt you know she is a bitch. Both words refer to a vagina but you would never call someone a Vagina. You can call a guy a penis or a prick but I never heard someone called a cock. In sexual context I don't think I ever heard of my vagina referred to as a cunt. I do hear pussy and use pussy myself. For a man I would refer to his penis as a cock during sex.

Now why are people turned off by Moist?

It would be interesting to have a graph of yes/no identified by age. My guess is, the older you are, the less you like this word.

I have heard about people disliking the word "moist". Don't quite understand. As native English speakers, we just know these rules you mention, but they are fascinating, aren't they? Also, being old, I find the "c" word to be offensive in nearly any context.

BTW, my brother's name was Richard. Glad it wasn't me--I earned my title of "dick" fair and square.

First, as to the word "Moist." I also read that people view the word negatively. Funny, but I think of a moist piece of chocolate cake and view it positively.

As to the etymology of the word, a Google search reveals that the word has Norse/Germanic origins (that's why it sounts hard and strong) and is actually old. From Wikipedia: "The word in its modern meaning is attested in Middle English. Proverbs of Hendyng, a manuscript from some time before 1325, includes the advice:

Ȝeue þi cunte to cunnig and craue affetir wedding.

(Give your cunt wisely and make [your] demands after the wedding.)"

At first I agreed that the use of the word was situational. Upon reflection if someone at work called be a dumb cunt, I'd be offended, but if they called me a ambitious cunt or a smart cunt, it would be a compliment - not only am I "ambitious" or "smart," but I'm strong as well. There is a story I posted here years ago about the time I was given more responsibility at work, including some purchasing decisions handled by a fellow that was retiring. The retiring fellow never sought other bids or negotiated better terms with a particular vendor, in exchange the vendor guy (also older) covering for his mistakes. With the three of us at dinner, the vendor (who treated me like a grandchild and called me "sweetie" sometimes) said it would be the same for me. I chose my words carefully and said, "Not this cunt." (I considered saying pussy or bitch.) It set the tone for the relationship, I got better prices, etc.

I take "pussy" and "cunt" to refer to the genital region generally, while vagina is a specific place.

The character Swearingen on HBO's Deadwood proved this wrong. If I had a dime for every time he said cunt on TV, I'd be a millionaire.

I like your reply and (since I am an obsessive fan of tag lines) really like your tag line.

This word can be miss-interpreted depending on the body language used and or tone of voice ! also can be used as sex talk to add excitement to sex other words can be offensive in same usages as above such as slut? :)

You're not the only female to use the 'C' word. In 2004, the female president of the University of Colorado, Betsy Hoffman, in response to a female athlete's complaint that male players referred to her as a 'C', said "the word 'C' can be used as a term of endearment".

My wife and I use the word cunt and pussy frequently when making love. Talking dirty and hearing me talk dirty turns both of us on. She loves it when I ask if she wants me to fingerfuck her cunt or her pussy. She says it's so nasty and so exciting to her because she loves being nasty.....a real turn on for us. To each his own.

We are 40-somethings, less than six months into the lifestyle. But we've played plenty in that time. Met a couple a a party last weekend. 50-somethings, and plenty experienced. We got to talking and touching in the pool. While Mrs. DontStop and the male continued pool play, I led the female upstairs. Since it was obvious from the underwater action she was ready to mount me right there, I told as we headed up that we play safe. She said ok, but her husband didn't have any condoms.

We played upstairs and later they joined us. After some time he was ready to mount Mrs and we stopped him and said "You gotta wrap it first."

He didn't say much after that, and within in a few minutes he said he was taking a break and left the room, and us in a FMF situation.

Did we fail here, not expressing safe play to him ahead of time?

      Hello
I’m after other peoples thoughts on a topic I have, me and my wife are happily married for 7 years both in our 30s and have great sex together. Now while we have sex we have a bit of fantasy type dirty talk and it’s great now it gets saucy and she says she would fuck someone else and she would even go bareback with them, now some my think I’m crazy but that thought drives my dick wild! Now the other bit of this is when we don’t get in that sexy moment it never gets mentioned, and I honestly think she wouldn’t do it. A little part of me thinks what if she did and how hot it would be seen her do it, now from others experience do you think that it’s just the heat of the moment talk or is it something she does secretly have on her mind?

I have always had an interest in the human definition, just who are we? What drives us? Who actually defines us? I know I was never asked....or given the questionnaire.

As always it is those not living how others are or maintain power or try to be that desperately try to define all of us into a box.

I’ve always been curious, always asking why because the bottles, jars and boxes we all get shoved into never hold true.

      My take away? Humans are:

      Curious
      Adventurous
      Emotional
      Highly social
      Desire acceptance
      Absolute need for contact, touch
      Emotional connection, attachment
      Happiness....

....collectively we want to be happy. We want at the end of our efforts, happiness.

So with that in mind why the imposed monogamy question? Maybe a better question is why the varying definitions to adapt to the wide variety of cultures, beliefs countries when in fact we were not made to be mono anything since the beginning of time without being taught, threatened and social outcasts for not taking part in the norm.

Mate sharing, spouse sharing and combined expanded family arrangements have been around since before history. The last 2,000 years monogamy, authority of the one, singular, grew but always had the old ways nipping at its heals.

In my readings I recently came across an interesting article, below:

      Why Monogamy Isn't
The death of compulsory monogamy and viewing monogamy as only a social good

      https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-polyamorists-next-door/201508/why-monogamy-isnt

As most everyone in this group lives or wants to live a less than monogamous lifestyle you might find it an interesting read.

Yep, intimidating. Not to ME, mind you, but to a lot of straight girls. Contrary to popular belief amongst males, not all girls are bi or bi-curious. Sorry guys. A lot of straight women I know are afraid of swing clubs because of the high interest in FF action. They worry because they think it'll be expected of them. I've never seen a girl get pressured into a girl on girl session at a club, but I do know girls that kinda said they were bi because of peer pressure.

If a girl is totally straight, that's fine with me. I hope that no woman is afraid of admitting she is not into other women for fear of being looked down upon. Be honest and truthful, for here is a man who would have sex with you ANYWAY! jk.

But seriously, you know what I mean. I hate to think that some women have to lie and feel intimidated because of the bi thing and should see that there are just as many women who are straight and happy that way.

That's all I have to say about that.

For the second time, a couple declined to play with us by saying he would like to play with my wife, but we don't have a four way match.

Call me thin skinned, but isn't that insulting to me? He is saying that his wife doesn't want to play with me.

Would it not be more diplomatic to just say we are not a match?

Well, my wife is hot. I will play with her and that guy won't. And my wife is much hotter than the two women who dissed me.

It's a rough crowd out there!

Ps: I am HWP, above average looking, certified good partner.
