What is your favorite swinging podcast, and why?

We mostly listen to Swinger Diaries. I like that the focus isn't on the host's exploits, but rather on general swinger info. Swinger podcasts come and go abruptly, probably due to life getting in the way and/or the threat of being outed. I applaud those that do it, as the wife and I are simply too chicken to put out our own podcast. While its easy to complain about how the lifestyle is portrayed in TV and Movies, its represented very well in podcasts, and its easily the best way to introduce someone to what the lifestyle is all about.

The most common way is to use a podcast app on your smartphone or iTunes if it's an iPhone. Search the word "Swinger" and plenty will pop up. Worst case, use Google.

I liked "The Curious Couple", but I think they are expecting and have not done one in a while.

I like We gotta thing, That couple next door, life on the swing set, the swap fu podcast, and swingercast. My favorite podcast is not all about swinging, rather sex and relationships, it is Dan Savage's Savage Lovecast.

I'll second Funcouple's choices...although it seems like Swap fu hung it up, as do most of these podcasts. When I listen to these, I always wonder - does EVERYBODY go to Desires? and Nawty in Nawlins? Seems you can't start a podcast until you agree to go to those events LOL. Some of the Itunes podcasts are just peoples drinking stories too, which gets boring. The Curious Couple was good, but are probably going to go away as well it seems

The ones that focus on the drinking and partying hurt the reputation of us in the lifestyle, and it pisses me off. I also stop listening when I realize the podcast WRs have to drink or be drunk while recording. It's a put-off for me. I wonder why so many hang it up so often.

@mphil We Gotta Thing got outed and documented it in a recent podcast, it was a member of their local (church?) community I believe.

 

FWIW, I also listen to several alternative relationship podcasts, Multiamory is a current favourite, and Cunning Minx's Polyamory Weekly is very informative. But yeah, podcasts (of all flavours) tend to come and go quite abruptly. I think that many people fail to realize the amount of effort and dedication required to continually release new episodes. Life on the Swingset is coming up on 300 episodes. Kinda boggles really.

That's too bad...they seemed like fun people. I always wonder why people who "out" others do so, do they get some kind of vicarious thrill out of causing problems for others? Of course, anytime you stick your head up out of the lifestyle gopher-hole, you risk running into people like that.

 

I've never really been able to make it past about two minutes of Life on The Swingset, too much marketing and too hipster for me, but then I'm an old cantankerous man
