Newbies

Hello everyone!! My husband and I are new to this lifestyle, as in never done it before. We are looking for a club in our area, Virginia Beach or surrounding cities. We are newbies and full of excitement and nerves...lol

 

We'd like to go to a club and get our toes wet with no pressure. We want to relax, have fun, meet people, especially someone or a couple to offer guidance while we navigate this adventure. Any suggestions?

 

We've talked and have a lot of interest in discovering new things together. I've been reading and a lot of the same advice is being given. Try going to a club first. That's definitely what we'd like to do but I haven't been able to find any that doesn't require membership, or require sponsorship to become a member. We're not opposed to becoming a member but being new we don't know anyone to be a sponsor.

 

We're in Virginia beach. Any and all advice is appreciated.

Seems you've been doing some earnest research. Clubs have membership so that the people of news media and the self-appointed guardians of morality do not waltz into a club and claim later that they were surprised to find "immoral acts" were happening inside. The clubs that want you to have a sponsor want only members who look like Brad and Angelina.

Usually if you contact the club they will help you with this. They WANT new members, but don't want problems...they just need to see that you are not going to be a problem. Good luck as you move forward and let us know how things progress.

Thank you for your advice. I found a club close to us in a neighboring city and emailed the address given on there site but it came back undeliverable

Unfortunately, the lifespan of clubs is often not nearly what we'd like to see. Keep looking at other options and keep reaching out. Often the "membership" is really just a matter of showing up, filling out a form, and paying your dues. But, it's good to contact the club and find out what the requirements are and what they expect.

This is what we've experienced too, the membership/sponsor thing is just a small hoop they put in the way to be jumped through to help protect themselves and in some places stay in compliance with local codes, so what they are doing is trying to balance getting getting people in through the door while still maintaining some level of control.
