I would define swinging as including a married or committed couple (even if one doesn't choose to participate.) If both people in a sexual act are not in a committed relationship, I would define it as 'hooking up,' or 'casual sex.'

Men and women dating for sexual pleasure is called….wait for it…….DATING!!!!Female domination/male submission is called BDSM, NOT swinging (although it can be a part of this hobby).
