RunSilentRunDee 127 Posted December 1, 2017 I was just listening to the hosts of one of my "swinger" podcasts, as they talked about hair: grooming, shaving, etc. As they wrapped it up, it seemed clear: gotta do it -- not just the women but also the men. So. I'm a male, wondering about how this "personal grooming" thing works in practice. OK, shaving the pubes, I get that. Here's what puzzles me. Like many men, I have hair that grows more widely than just on my pubes. It grows on my abdomen, it grows on my pubes (of course), it grows on my body to each side of my "pubes" area (strictly speaking), and then it grows on my upper legs. If left alone, some areas are "hairier" than others, but hair is certainly there throughout. So. Suppose I decide to shave "my pubes." When I'm done, I now have a hairless region that's surrounded by hair above (abdomen), possibly hair left and right (abdomen/upper legs), and hair below (upper legs). No doubt this would give women's mouths easier access to the playing field. But ... how would that look? I mean, to me, it seems that this would look weird, even comical. Does it seem weird to you? If it does, what do you do about it? Sure, some men will simply shave everywhere, like competitive swimmers. But to those who don't go that far ... what do you do about the hair around your pubes? And, no, it's not a real option to "simply go to your nearby club and see what the men do." My wife is not interested right now and I have no wish to try to go as a single guy. Thanks! Lionheart72 2,190 Posted December 1, 2017 Key in swinging, you don't have to do anything you aren't comfortable with... including shave. Personally, like you I have a lot of body hair. I'll trim, so that my pubes are roughly the same length as the rest of the hair in that area but that's all. I feel it makes me look presentable and I haven't gotten any complaints. My wife doesn't shave at all, and a lot of guys compliment her on it. 5 Quote Share this post Link to post
Sereno & Rider 26 Posted December 1, 2017 This should be interesting and a learning experience. I hope? I don't have much body hair but my bush, and Riders, are normal and get a little bushy. We use a grooming razor to trim rather close but leave some. We have both tried shaving and had problems with nicks and ingrown hairs as well as the sharp incoming hair if we don't shave often that requires repeating the process. I'm told that it gets better with time but we just don't want to take that much time shaving baby smooth. I suggest that you and yours find what works for you and looks good to you. Might be some fun playtime for you both? lol Perhaps grooming so that you don't have an obvious tree clearing line at the upper forest. lol. We thought of waxing but .......... OMG... the maintenance, costs and irritation goes back to.... ain't worth it. Most important? Do what YOU are comfortable with and don't worry about what others might be thinking. Good luck and let us know. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
BabeAndApe 70 Posted December 2, 2017 I only shave the shaft and scrotum. I trim the rest. But then, I'm a bit of a bear, and would look weird if I shaved all of my pubic hair off. I use a beard trimmer to keep my body hair short and neat, lest I look like a Wookie. Babe used to shave but, at this stage, just plucks every few days. She claims its faster. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
PSULioness 857 Posted December 2, 2017 When I first met my husband he didn’t shave anything. He isn’t that hairy except his pubes. The guys I dated before him were a mixture of things including the first time I was with someone completely shaved. That freaked me a little. I did joke to my husband about the forest. I myself am trimmed. When I became closer to him I told him I was going to shave him. He let me give him s haircut. His balls aren’t that hairy I just clipped a few long hairs. Since we have been with others he is more aware of what he looks like. He asked me if he should shave it all and I said no. I recently went for a Brazilian and I felt strange after. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,879 Posted December 2, 2017 We both shave. I, the male, try to shave my whole region, wherever a mouth might hit a hair. Quote Share this post Link to post

Sure, some men will simply shave everywhere, like competitive swimmers. But to those who don't go that far ... what do you do about the hair around your pubes? Yes it will look weird and comical if you have hair everywhere else. If a woman doesn't like hair on a man they probably won't be back for a second date. Some women think body hair on a man is sexy. Some women think it's very unattractive. Just be natural and let the woman choose. Ask a woman how much maintenance is needed to shave your body everyday:) I prefer women to be natural. I love hairy pussies. I think hairy armpits are sexy. A woman with a mustache is not very sexy at all! I understand shaving for a "clean" look in their bikini on the beach in the summer. Smooth legs are sexy to see. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,879 Posted December 3, 2017 My father said he dated a woman with everything a man wanted. A beard, a mustache, a hairy chest... 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Myzyri 38 Posted December 8, 2017 I'm not really that hairy, but I've got average man-hair on my stomach and legs. Personally, I shave the whole area bald. Shaft, pubis, scrotum, taint, b-hole.... the whole "dickular" and anal region. (No, I'm not into anal or anything, but shaving back there is part of the job for me.) I don't shave the legs or anything and it looks fine. If you're a hairy guy, I'd suggest grabbing your beard trimmer, putting on a 1mm trimmer jack and just shave it down to a moderate stubble. Use coconut oil and conditioner to soften it all up. Tips for shaving bald. If it's your first time doing it, do it immediately before going to the club. You may get a nasty razor burn the next day. 1. Trim it as close as you can with a beard trimmer (always use a trimmer jack - those blades won't cut your face, but they'll cut your penis). 2. Hot water is your friend. Let the shower run on your happy bits for at least 10 minutes. 3. Conditioner! Cover the whole region in conditioner and give it another 5-10 minutes. 4. Lather up with either shampoo or conditioner (shaving cream doesn't seem to work as well down there). 5. Shave with a brand new blade. 5.1. OPTIONAL: Give yourself a full crotch rub down with a good coconut oil sugar scrub. 6. IMMEDIATELY dry off and cover the whole area with a high quality after-shave lotion. Nothing with alcohol. If you have to, use something like Nivea. A thick, heavy cream. There's a 40% urea cream you can buy on Amazon that's amazing for any kind of moisturizing. 7. Hit the bathroom at the club before dropping your pants to make sure all the cream has been absorbed. Make sure your playground looks good and then go swing that D! As for women, my wife goes for a Brazilian wax front and back before we go to the club. She goes 100% hairless down there and loves it. So do I and most everyone else appreciates it too. Personally, I think the shaved look is much "cleaner" and most people perceive you as being more hygienic. Quote Share this post Link to post
