njbm 2,868 Posted January 1, 2018 We are a young looking and acting 60 years of age. We went to RM about 5 years ago when we were newbies. There appeared to be some lifestyle activity going on. We went to Pearl about 3 years ago. Very little LS going on. It could have been just a quiet week. We are looking to go back. Are we too old for RM? Is there any activity at Pearl? A few days at each? Quote Share this post Link to post
funcoupledayton 2,708 Posted January 2, 2018 I would suggest going with a group. Ask the group leader or travel agent aobut the make-up of the group. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,065 Posted January 2, 2018 We've never been to Pearl but continue to talk about going back to RM (usually starting on the drive to the Cancun airport). We're in our 50's and age never enters into the discussion. It all depends on who is at either resort as to how 'good' the action is. If you can find a group that you are comfortable with that are going to either resort, you're probably in for a good time. Quote Share this post Link to post
LKNcouple 36 Posted January 2, 2018 In general RM has more activity that Pearl only because RM is a bigger resort than Pearl. I think your results will vary depending on the group. There is a forum dedicated to everything Desire Desire Resort Forums ? Index page You may want to post there. Quote Share this post Link to post
JustAskJulie 2,595 Posted January 2, 2018 From talking to some friends who are big fans of Desire, they've said that Pearl isn't worth the visit but RM is the place to go (and better than Hedo these days). But, as someone else said you'll definitely do better anywhere if you can go with a group - whether it's a swinger group (swinger week) or just take your own swinger group. njbm 2,868 Posted January 3, 2018 Good idea to go with a group. The Desire forum for groups is not updated. We’ll continue our search. Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted February 16, 2018 We have been RM 5 times over the years. Haven’t tried Pearl. There has always been abundant play there if you want it, but you don’t have to take it. It’s way nicer, much more classy than Hedo. Sometimes there have been groups or a group but it’s always seemed as if there were as many people not in those groups as in them, thus, people you can hang with, become friends with if you are so inclined. I guess the thing we like most about is how the barrier’s disappear. Last visit, we became good friends with (but didn’t swing with) a young couple from Columbia, another time with a much older couple from Calif. The age groups really don’t matter, it’s more about what’s in their hearts. Quote Share this post Link to post
