dan63 106 Posted March 24, 2018 Just watched "Palm Swings" on Showtime. It is a very accurate portrayal of a new couple first getting into the lifestyle and what happens when rules are not laid out from the beginning and love/trust/communication are not established from the beginning. Some of the acting is somewhat cheesy but the story line is excellent. It is a very accurate portrayal of how drama can occur in the LS, but it does have a happy ending. Showtime is currently having a free weekend preview on DirectTV at least and I figure the other providers have it as well. I highly recommend that you DVR this movie while it is available and then watch at your convenience. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

sweetcadcouple 40 Posted June 3 Just saw “Palm Swings” last weekend with my husband, and I agree it one of the best movies that represents the Swinger Lifestyle. Me and my husband thought it would be like “Swinging with the Finkels” with Martin Freeman and Mandy Moore. This movie ain’t. Palm Swings really goes all in. It was like watching a softcore porno. It on Tubi which is free for anyone that is interested on watching it. Quite surprising it was originally made in 2015, then released in 2017. But both IMDB and Tubi said that the release date was in 2020. Not sure why they have different dates of release. I highly recommend in watching this especially if you’re thinking about it being swingers or you’re in the newlywed phase of the swingers lifestyle. This movie does give advice on the do’s and don’t of the lifestyle. Some spoilers ahead, if you can call it that. You are warned. 1- Don’t be afraid on making friends. Talk to them. Have 1on1 conversations with them. Have a talk with the wife/gf. Have a talk with the husband/bf. Then switch. Have a better understanding of the lifestyle from both sides of the relationship. Many of them give good insight into the lifestyle. 2- I don’t recommend that your first official swing be a key party like the movie. You 2 should share the pleasure in the same room. But to each their own. 3- And Don’t be afraid in talking to your significant others in what you want to do and try. And also Don’t be afraid to tell your significant other on what you do NOT want to do. It took me and my husband a good year to fully integrate and be fully comfortable into the lifestyle. Yes we had our bumps in the road. A bit my fault. I knew I was going too fast in the early stages but I was having too much fun. But we talked and we worked it out. We had people that help us out. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
