Out-N-About 52 Posted August 25, 2018 Hello, all! My wife and I are new here, so please excuse any ignorance. We've wanted to try inviting another man or couple into the bedroom with us for a while now. In January, we're taking a cruise. We were wondering if there really are any kind of signals/signs that swingers use to let others of the same lifestyle know they're open to the possibility. Also, is there place, on Carnival ships in particular, that are better than others to find those open to such an experience? Thank you! Quote Share this post Link to post
Greg & Sheryl 368 Posted August 25, 2018 You can take the guesswork out of this by booking a swinger-specific cruise. Check out your options at TheSwingerCruise.com. Quote Share this post Link to post
cplnluv1 872 Posted August 26, 2018 I think you will find a cruise ship the same as any other resort. Unless it is a swingers cruise you will find the same chance on a cruise as a Caribbean vacation. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Out-N-About 52 Posted August 26, 2018 Thank you! We had heard there were certain subtle signs/signals people used to indicate they were into that kind of thing. Weren't sure if it was true or just bs lol. We appreciate your time. Quote Share this post Link to post
gaga2018 27 Posted August 26, 2018 Hello N-O-ABOUT! Well during cruise ship you can look for some signs such as single men looking to you or your wife. You can always have a drink with other couple and try figure it out. I hope you find the right man/couple Quote Share this post Link to post
Out-N-About 52 Posted August 27, 2018 So, all the stuff about pineapples on the door and white stones in the mailbox are just myths? Yeah, we've read these are swinger signs left to let others know. Quote Share this post Link to post
cplnluv1 872 Posted August 27, 2018 Back in college if there were a sock on the door it meant stay out. Quote Share this post Link to post

Shore2Please 612 Posted August 27, 2018 We were not looking, we were found on a cruise. We had never thought of swinging when we went on a cruise that took us to a nude beach. We had met another couple on the cruise and we all decided to go to Orient Beach where we all would go nude. That night after partying and drinking it was suggested we change partners. It seemed spontaneous but I think we were sort of chosen. They still deny it. BTW it was one of the greatest nights. Quote Share this post Link to post
GoldCoCouple 4,066 Posted August 27, 2018 No, there are no secret or hidden signals that swingers use. The problem with having secrets signs, is they never stay secret very long. As mentioned, the best way to find swingers is to go where swingers go (ie, swingers cruise). Other options include nudist resort (not all nudists are swingers and not all swingers are nudists, but there will be a group that falls into both categories). Desire and Desire Pearl in Cancun are both great vacation destinations. They are 'clothing optional' and 'swinger friendly' (especially the rooftop hot tub after 4pm). If you want to swing or take it to the next level (no matter what that level is) you would have much better luck there. While you MAY find another swingers couple on a vanilla cruise, the odds are going to be against you from the start. If you want to catch fish, start with a pond that you know has fish in it. robaval 220 Posted August 30, 2018 We went on an eastern Caribbean cruise. At St. Martin, we ended up taking a cab over to and spending the day at Orient Beach Club (before the hurricane destroyed it). At the Perch Bar, 5 minutes after arriving, we met a couple we had seen during the cruise several time and had chatted with. They liked nude beaches too. We flirted and visited all after noon. We finally had to leave, got dressed and caught a cab back to our ship. Later we met them for dinner on ship, traded partners from end of dinner to midnight with the guys going to the other couple's room. Things went so well that we met a couple nights later and did the same thing. We meet them Sept 3 for week at Hidden Beach Resort (Karisma chain). Julie Quote Share this post Link to post
njbm 2,874 Posted August 30, 2018 Swingers cruises are our favorite lifestyle vacation. At least 90% of the attendees play. On a vanilla cruise, it's 1-5% and you have no idea who they are. On a LS cruise, look to the right, look to the left... Quote Share this post Link to post
Out-N-About 52 Posted August 30, 2018 Thank you! We’ve also just learned what “vanilla cruise” means lol 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
lnw 145 Posted August 30, 2018 njbm is correct on the numbers. Studies have shown maybe 4% of the population swings. On a ship with 1400 couples, that is about 60 couples out of the population. Now find those 60 and break them into the age group you are looking for. Take that smaller group now and hope there are one or two couples you can hit it off with. Those are your odds. No secret sign or handshake. All of the ankle bracelets and black rings have become a fade to wear. We have met more people wearing black rings that had no idea it could mean they were swingers. So if you really want to try this, book a swinger cruise. And while it is a target rich area, it can still be a challenge to find those couples you connect well enough to have sex with. But we have never failed! Happy hunting... And BTW - If you do decide to book, best spot to look is The Swinger Cruise site since she is the only one that books ALL of the cruises. Others are limited in their options. We have taken 9 and have 2 more booked through her. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
MadlyInLuv 94 Posted August 30, 2018 Do what we did and just jump into the deep end of the pool by booking at Hedonism II. Quote Share this post Link to post
ChaTam 43 Posted September 1, 2018 Sorry Inw but I have to take issue with your math. While I do agree 4/5 percent of the population are none monogamous I don't think those same percentages would apply to a vanilla cruise. Of course as others have mentioned it can happen but most swingers vacation where their most likely to find more swingers. That would be a swingers cruise, resort or clubs. Because of that I think the percentage of non monogamous couples on a vanilla cruise would be far less than you would find in the general population. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted September 1, 2018 We find that whether on a cruise ship or at a resort, more likely to find other swingers at the topless sun deck if they have one, or in the martini bar or casino. At the casino or bar, it’s the couples where the women are dressed a bit more sexy than the others. I’m sure this is not always true but it’s kind of worked for us. Quote Share this post Link to post
udsarge 119 Posted September 5, 2018 Walk around the ship naked!!! If the people run the other way, they're probably not swingers Quote Share this post Link to post
